Yea he's supposedly the most successful nba bettor with a team of computer wizards running simulations and making models. Heard he only bets point totals too.

yes everyone knows him as an NBA bettor with a team of quants working for him, and the whole story about how he got started by putting his net worth on the Lakers to win the championship in 2000 or whatever. i'm not saying it's not all true, but i've read enough to at least plant a bit of doubt in my mind.

one of the things he always talks about is how Avery Johnson made him a lot of money because he always slowed the pace down and "over-coached" games. it's been a long time since i read about all this so hopefully i'm remembering the details correctly...but i believe he claims to have made a lot of money betting the under on 2nd half totals when Johnson was coaching. but there was an article somewhere that referenced his claims against the line movements/results in Johnson's games that basically disproved what he was saying, i wish i could find it now. have also read about rumors of him bookmaking/other pro sportsbettors scoffing at some of his claims.

maybe it's all nothing and he really has made his entire fortune betting point totals in the NBA, or maybe he's made a lot of money from both bookmaking and betting. either way he's obviously a very sharp guy who knows a ton about NBA basketball.

^ it's just something we will never know. he did win a bunch on that lakers all-in future and i'm sure he parlayed that into a year's (if not more) worth of run-good betting nba totals using a team + statistical models, but to assume hes still crushing when hes on twitter all the time and also putting articles out on espn it leaves a lot of doubt in my mind as well about him
