congrats on having success.

the hands we played the other day i thought u made a bunch of good folds. my play was still trying to 'catch up' to the other guys in the 500zoom games. i felt like the competition there was significantly tougher than the 1knl regular 6max tables...those i actually felt confident playing an exploitative style which i haven't used in over a year.

You sound like a great guy, righteous and honest, hard working and humble, you force respect. Can't say much except I wish you the best, and think of a plan outside poker...

Odds are exactly 50%: it either happens or not

u mean runitonce?

yea dan from runitonce approaced me and wanted me to make videos for them, i ended up really thinking about it but i ended up decideing it wasnt worth it

i would feel very cheap too as they wanted a strong highstakescoach on their team and i just didnt feel like i was good enough for that task and i didnt want to be just another of those meh regs that are makeing videos nowadays since none of the toptier regs are makeing videos, except for sauce, galfond and odd_oddsen pretty much.

how much did they offer you per hour of vid?

they didnt make an offer right away, they wanted samplevideo and stuff first.

great job man, keep on crushin

btw, why don't you use HM2 ? I think you can get more out of it than from the previous version

thanks bruv

i have hm2 aswell, ive used it for a while a few months ago, i built a hud and a giiiiaaaant specific popup there and it got too big and hm1 have all the useful stats that i used when i played with hm2. if u just search for them and it runs alot smoother for me, i couldnt use the popup well in hm2 playing a ton of tables. the only thing hm2 gave me was when i sat there for hours and hours and went through every stat they had in their system i found a few new stats i hadnt used in hm1 prior to useing hm2 this summer. Since i didnt like the software really i searched them in hm1 and surely they were all there. some stats i added were like a few cbet stats and ch/f ch/r as PFR aswell as more specific 3b pot cb stats. cold 4bet i added to hm1 hud too and a few other things like more specific rather then combined 3b stat against CO and BU i now have SB vs CO BB vs CO SB vs BU BB vs BU aswell etc. hm1 have them all. u dont need cbet in position 3way from UTG+1 vs utg limp/call and button flat, wich is pretty much the only type of stats that hm2 have that hm1 havent.

Damn, good job. Once I quit few years ago I never recovered, heh.

btw, out of curiosity, what's the cost of high quality BJJ training class like that?

thanks =)

thailand is really cheap overall, i think we payed like maybe 300$/month or so? not more then that atleast. And it was well worth it, u can then attend all the classes they have (mma, grappling, GI or no GI BJJ, muay thai, western boxing, str and conditioning etc.

we had 10 GI BJJ classes a week, with some purple and brownbelt professional fighters fighting in bellator, i recognized a guy from TUF UK vs AUS there and i see on their facebookpage all the time about ufc fighters training over there so it was totally worth the money. mostly cuz of coach Olavo being a really good coach and guy.

i really recommend going to chalong phuket to train any form of martial arts if u want to get into it more seriously, there are like 4 tip top gyms along the same street. and every1 liveing on that street are training, every restaurant are offering good meals and proteinshakes and stuff for ppl training. its a great way to get ur ass involved and motivated hardcore for a period of time.

yea isildroon was the one behind it all im pretty sure hes a friend and he vouched and told them to go after me when they asked around for more NL HS guys. I just wasnt very interested, the pressure would be to much since id probably spend tons of hours trying to make perfect videos and it felt like to big of a task right now, it really felt wrong just being another 500zoom liveplay videomaker.

Congrats on recovery. I think many players go through what you're describing (myself included). Success often breeds complacency and that in time leads to mediocrity. I think that's pretty evident at the higher stakes and it's sort of a cycle. Pretty important to stay humble and grounded and keep constantly working on your game. It's really beneficial to experience this though cause it burns and the feeling sucks but it can motivate you to never experience it again. You learn from it and come back better, and it seems that's the effect it had on you too. Good luck in the future!

It is nice to hear that you reject to be coach because you don't feel full skilled at high stakes, I wanna know how many guys do this in the same situation as you

Good job on making a comeback. Many people would have lost everything they had and wouldn't have been able to recover, so you should feel good about yourself, as well as the people in your inner-circle online who believed enough in you to put their money into your hands.

gL in the future~

i'm planning on going to phuket in jan/feb. Doing some BJJ would be cool. how do you find a place in chalong phuket? I've been looking, and i'm only finding a few places in the middle of nowhere.

are there decent beaches and nightlife in chalong?

phuket is supersmall its not hard to find everything u want with a short cabride, and as phuket is kinda infested with drunk tourists all over its not hard to find places to party.

i would say to any cabdriver in entire phuket, "tiger muaythai in chalong" (the most known gym on the same street http://www.tigermuaythai.com/) every1 knows what it is and they will take u there.

their rooms are really bad tho (and usually soldout) if u are to stay there for some time i would recommend just walking down that street and look at the hotels there, they are all fairly cheap and they are alot cleaner and nicer, the rooms on their gym is mostly for the 400kg guys that have bought like a 12 month program over there where they get help with food and training everyday, and it gets easier for them liveing at the gym and getting constant help.

i recommend siam hostel, ive stayed there like 5 months total over 2 trips now and its cheap, clean and a really beautiful enviorment, i think its like 4-500$ for 30 days or something to stay there and probably something similair in the 200-800$ range / month on all the hotels on that road depending on what standards ur looking for.

i would get maybe 3 days in sweden for the same $ at the same level of pretty good, probably like a decent 3 star hotel, only in thailand everything is beautiful outside of the rooms as a bonus

picture from outside my room

most of the hotels there, probably like 10 on that street only (its really like a trainingonly street, with low traffic and a quiet enviorment)

the reason why i in particular like siam is cuz of their wifi, we tryed the wifi on many of hotels on the same street and siam had easily the best most stabil internet of all the places we tryed out aswell as just being a really nice place overall

glhf in thailand let me know with some updates if u get there and end up doing any training at any gym!
