I was a little bored last night and inspired so I tried to play every reg at the lower hu stakes on stars. My question is how did 9/10 regs know to avoid me? I thought stars blocked all the tracking sites I had supernova hidden and no pic showing so im just curious how they knew to get action. I am up quite a bit hu on heater stats if they can track me but how do they do it?
Ironically it worked out because I found a super fish after only 1 reg giving me action. Who started his table and then wanted to move up stakes and I feel like no hu reg would ever sit vs someone who starts a table anymore and miss huge fish like this sometimes. But if they know not to play me hu how come they cant track a huge fish like him just so confused.
yeah use tourney stats and it's not hard to see after a few hands if the person's a reg. Plus they see you on more tables in lobby/multitabling = autoregspot.
Nowadays fish show their 3 stars a lot too so they'll get suspicious when you hide both status and hide from search feature, fish don't do that.
someone on this site pm'd me a while back saying there's a workaround for stars PTR but it's limited to results before the shutdown (feb 2012 iirc). so if you have reasonable cashgame stats from before then maybe that's what they're seeing somehow?
A little digging is there was a russian. pkt he got taken down but maybe moved. Alot of these hu guys were russian to be honest

not really sure why they don't give you action, everytime I tred reg action at nl200 I found ( nl100 is a little harder )
and the russian PTR only tracks 2013 I think
don't remember if they were russians tho
the russians are the worst bumhunters scumbags, they all use scripts to auto sit the fish in 6 max tables, they will hit and run, grim you and do whatever they can to have an advantage
well was sitting at nnl50 to start. I have no doubt in my mind id get easy action at nl200

well, it's like, the easier they get action from fish, harder they will give you action
I only give regs action at nl100 if I'm trying to learn, when I'm too bored to wait too much or want to multitable instead of playing fishs, because if you are playing them and leave when you get some fish they will whine like a baby
Dont listen to anything I say

NL100 is still very well beatable by not bumhunting
and yeah lots of regulars just won't play anyone who sits with 100bb (which is dumb as fuck cuz sometimes you get huge donks or tilted reg buyin in for 100bb)
Im not sure what to do tomorrow when I see her, should I shake her hand?? -Floofy

dont play hu at 50nl rake is too high
the rake is perfectly beatable at nl50
there's a few regs who only play nl50 and they have like 7ptbb over 200k hands

Why havent Stars just closed their joke of a bumhunter HU lobby yet
(Or saving 4-6 tables per limit so we could get some really interesting HU matches again)
Stars will probably implement something like KOTH next year, but it's not so easy as you think
check the 2+2 thread where they were discussing the HU lobby, pure KOTH will suck hard on stars, I'm pretty sure that would be a disaster
Partypoker anonymous lobby would be decent if they weren't stupid
the anonymous lobby only have 25 tables each limit, and it comes first then the normal lobby so you can get more action there, you can "battle" for the tables, but instead of booting the player who is sitout, they just close the table when there's 2 players and there's no game going on, lol
so the russians scumbags don't give you action and don't leave the table
same shit is happening on microgaming, there's only 3 tables per limit and they are all anonymous, you can sit and battle to steal the table, but players don't get boot for being sitout and they just keep siting out forever and shut down your action
Im not so sure KOTH will give a lot of high stakes action at least.
They are all friends at the high stakes, and they usually know who are top 10 (and nr 3 knows he is worse than nr 2)
They will take 1 table each and then they will together analyze you and help each other to beat you if you do decide to sit down (and will not play each other)

When I first tried HU I had no PTR history or tourney history or anything at all, and people usually sat out within 3 hands.
Same. Pretty sure it has a lot to do with the auto-reload and making 'snap decisions' preflop.
Well, actually. ~3 years ago there was a lot more action given all around. These days - half the time you buy in full, you get sat out. Would be curious to see if Jungleman could have done his rise to fame under todays HU bullshit.
lol thats pretty funny but there is alot of meta game angling goin on now a days. Playing in ways where you can tilt semi fish regs is a must. Especially when I lure other sng players to play cash with me. Look extra terrible at first and give them lots of action. Took a few of em for a few g. Players that are never used to playing with >20bb's but make decent money to splash around.

I joined a guy from Germany at 0.5/1 PLO. He asked for 4 tables, I said no thanks 2 if you like... he won a 50BB pot first hand and then sat out saying if I didn't want to play 4 tables then he didn't want to play. He said its his table, I joined his table and that means he's in the right to dictate any terms he wants. I asked how often he actually gets anyone join his table whose just instantly willing to play 4 tables he didn't reply. I asked if he thought he was fair he said yes. I said you're only fair if you at least give me a button he lol'd and said no honour in poker anymore.
Its people like this that make there be no honour any more in poker and he is nowhere near the worst.. Its a joke really. Fish are surely going to be so turned off by all these people just sitting out all the time.
I also got sat out by 9/10 regs, ridiculous.
I honestly wonder if he just asks for 4 tables so he can grim a sb everytime while he's waiting for a known complete whale.. seems like a gay (or insert more politically correct word) way to make a living though.
Fish don't stop gambling because one reg in HU reg decides to grim the fk out of them

report him to support for grimming
Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol
Just came across this thread.
What is a bumhunter? And what do the
Russians do online?
Just curious.
Thanks

I dont understand people that will bumhunt.... but when there is a fish in the game they willl also mass 3-bet other regs in the game so the fish get squeezed out of the pot all the time and u never get to see a flop with the fish (neighter does he)
Do u guys understand this concept ? Especially at PLO.......... they 3-bet EVERY hand instead of seeing a flop with huge edge vs donks.... Ruins the edge for both of us argh !
:D
