Diablo III to lose Auction House (both gold and real money) on 18 march 2014 (which also means it's possible release date for expansion):

holy shit that's gonna change a lot O_o...
once you hit lvl 70 you gonna have the find the items the real man way....i'm excited for the hardcore experience that this will bring....almost like a fresh restart to everything
It's so imbecilic that they would come to this realization so late. They made a ton of money from it and frustrated a lot of players who spent money on items which became completely worthless a few months after.
I think the game is still gonna suck, simply because grinding monsters is supposed to be just one part of the game. The most rewarding part of D2 was being able to PvP and crush people with the gear you've farmed. If you're just farming gear for the sake of farming gear, you should get tired of it after a while, because your items serve no purpose outside of the grind. Without a proper PvP experience, this game is still doomed to be a borefest.
fuck I should just sell some of my Pokemon cards, if no one stakes that is what I will have to do - lostaccount

Wrong. You can still trade in-game. Which is what I usually did when I played D3 anyway. I'd go to the forums and advertise my items there instead of going to the AH and getting the 10% cut or whatever taken out.
I don't see how he's wrong. You need to grind the game for items to trade as there's no way for you to just purchase something to trade with. It still sounds like a fresh start, just one that has no purpose because it doesn't lead to anything fun outside the tedious grind of killing AI-controlled mobs. The novelty of that wears off very quickly.

they need to create a new map, something like an arena. So when you play PVP you are in a gladiator style dome and you just fight (should also increase the player cap to 8 in this particular mode)
Current PVP system blows.
Would also like to see real PVP in hardcore - AKA someone can come into a game and hostile you and chase you down the map

part of the thrill of playing D2 esp in pubs, is that you never know for sure when someone is going to hostile you. Could never get comfortable just autopilot grinding

Is this worth getting?
I've been kind of in the mood to play diablo 3 again, I haven't played since 2 months after release. Did they improve the late-game?
With no AH, is there a trade channel now or what?
I dont know what a dt drop is. Is it a wrestling move? -Oly

D3 developpers doesn't understand that the problem with their game isn't the number of monsters, or the number of classes, or the number of items, or the environnement. They again seem to completly fail to understand what gamers wants. Its sad of a powerfull company like blizzard can fail so hard with such a good marketing/budget.
Just adding a few leaderboards visible to everyone, a ladder system with resets like D2, and a GOOD dueling system with matchmaking, that would already fix their game imo.

No pvp could actually make the game fun and not so pointless. Instead they added more kind of monsters and new environnements. -_-
No PVP, no real trading even they removed the AH and the game was already beaten in less then 2h.
I guess I will pass on the expansion, already made a mistake and bought the original one ;/

How they still haven't implemented a PVP system is beyond me. It seriously really shouldn't be that hard to make.
They delayed it tons because it had to be "blizzard quality" and they released the worst possible system ever. Even low budget indie games can make much smarter pvp systems.
