Well its definitelly forced and a stepdown from D2 but it counts with 2 "precuels" so its a thicker story and its easier to build on it while Path of Exhile is new and has no cinematics so its hard to follow the story specially since most people just skip many of the dialogs.

So I enjoyed the story way less than in the Diablo games, but the game itself is better than Diablo 3

I just got the GF into PoE and she cant play many games because well obv she is a noob (so no FPS or strategy etc) and these kind of RPGs are very easy to use after PoE gets old I guess ill switch her to Diablo, probably starting from D2

Like I said, I can't compare which is better. My point wasn't D3 being better or worse than PoE, I thought I made that perfectly clear. My point was that you're shooting down D3 right now based on when it first came out, when it has changed immensely.
And that's the only reason why I think you bashing the current D3 is based on poor arguments (or assumptions, whatever you want to call it), because you're still basing your opinion on when it first came out. I wasn't trying to compare the two games, I was merely trying to convince people that it's fun now, that's all .

Got a mate who's having a blast with it now, but something tells me he'll get bored quite quickly, he's a wiz with the computer, so got it linked up so that he's controlling 5 characters at once, so his guild is pretty angry at him, and he's final act hardest torment level, and everything has been super easy and rofl.

And guildchat goes nut each time legenary drops, since chat gets spammed all the time, oh well!!

He was even on teamspeak for POE saying "I guess, i still have a week of rofl, before I come back, and become humbled and scared again".

Worth mentioning, Poe is extremly hard compared to d3 as well =p

Haha I was doing pretty well at poker, nowadays still playing a little but not crushing anymore

Guys, RoS is nothing like D3. It's actually enjoyable to play.

It is, until a week in. Then it's boring as fuck, just like the original Diablo 3.

There is still no endgame, no ladders and no pvp. I played since premier a few days, got my monk and DH to lvl 70, I can beat torment 3 solo clearing slowly through packs, but it's all meaningless. Grinding for the sake of grinding and nothing else is just fucking stupid. At the moment you can't even monetize your farm, as auction house no longer exists, so they removed the only end game aspect that existed in d3.

The best part, blizzards dev team was spamming whole time about ladders being added into D3: ROS right before premier, game comes out and they say "yep, ladders will be there, but not until at least few months later". So yeah, no thanks.

after playing this xpac, I have new hope that blizzard will continue to turn things around for this game

I hope they add some pvp, but it seems unlikely since they're not receiving monthly subs? especially with the AH profit gone.

Not even just compared to D1 or D2, the story is just fucking shit, like terrible D list hollywood horror movie bad.

For those interested btw, they just came out with a huge patch which involves seasons (like in D2) and more endplay in greater rifts and legendary gems. Good stuff.

Gameplay is pretty fun. Story is bad but whatever.
