<img src="http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/2f032.eptsanremo.jpg" align="right" style="margin:5px; border:1px solid black;">The European Poker Tour was this week in San Remo, to play what many consider as the juiciest stop on the tour. Drawing a massive field of 1240 players who paid the €5,300 buy-in, there was €1,250,000 waiting for the winner. And surprisingly, this time a woman player won it, the Brittish pokerpro Liv Boeree.
The 25-year-old astrophysics graduate had to beat the 22-year-old Swedish pro Jakob Carlsson heads-up to win the biggest EPT event ever held in Europe, and become only the third woman to win an EPT Main Event. The first was Team PokerStars Pro Vicky Coren, who won the EPT London in season 3, and last season we saw the Gearman PokerStars Pro Sandra Naujoks win the EPT Dortmund.
Boeree's career started four years ago when she participated in a reality show on tv about poker. She used to be at the EPT events as a TV-presenter, but says it has always been her dream to play at the time, and when she won her seat to the San Remo Main Event in a €500 satellite at the casino, she was certain to be amongst the players competing.
She was delighted after winning the event: “Winning a major event is exactly what I’ve been working towards. I went round to all the EPTs as a host but all I was thinking was: ‘I want to play.’ I have been working very hard on my game but I can’t believe I have won. I’m over the moon, absolutely over the moon.”
This win is her biggest achievement yet, although she has got several other tournament wins in her career, including a European Ladies Championship victory in 2008.

i played a table across from her at wsop and shes pretty hot when she wears makeup, shes just average when she doesnt.. either way it was nice having something hot to stare at all day
Its hard to make a easy buck legally, its impossible to make a easy buck morally.
I saw her many times at PCA and she's not average at all. I thought she was good looking. She has nice traits for sure, but she's somewhat tomboyish and that doesn't appeal to everyone.
