Well slowplaying AA is fine preflop. I wouldnt do it too often unless your 3-bet % is very low.

This flop isnt exactly the greatest for your hand. When you slowplay AA you want 226, 379 FD, XXK, XXQ, etc. type flops. You're repping far stronger than you actually have so unless the dynamic is absolutely nuts I cannot find AA getting it in here for value ever. You're hoping he has AcK.

Does BB squeeze a ton or what's your reasoning for slowplaying from the sb?

Hm.. Off-suite socks..

hmm I see
slowplaying AA pre is def not my standard
I'm on the BTN but yah BB sqz's and plays bad in 3bet pots

but yah postflop there isn't any dynamic as I just started the session and I don't know who this guy is

I thought most all kings would continue on the flop vs my raise and I was protecting against 4flush, but yeah as soon as I saw the flop I knew it was a gross one-- just not sure what to do differently? Seems like bluffcatching 3 streets would suck on the river, turn flush card sucks if it kills all my action vs Kx etc.. halp

Agreed with Maynard. If you're raising this flop it's with the intention of getting stacks in if need be and w/o any aggo dynamic you're behind most reasonable player's getting-it-in range.

Calling flop and turn isn't bluff-catching...he'll be betting plenty of hands for value which AA beats.

flop raise is fine imo
turn bet sux
hes most likely shoving all his range on the turn
and u will be behind most of the time, or flipping, never ahead of anything actually
so check behind turn call most river

How the fuck can a flop raise be fine and a turn bet on a brick bad¿ If you are doing this play for a good reason you will be snapping here but since you arent you dont have enough info to make the flop raise good. You will get it in flipping or crushed here so much that AA simply does not hold up against his stacking off range, Id call and look for a good turn to get it in on or call again, or fold(prolly not fold tho :o )

EvilSky    Czech Republic. Nov 25 2009 13:37. Posts 8915

HeRoS)eNGagE   Canada. Nov 25 2009 13:38. Posts 10896

what?

EvilSky    Czech Republic. Nov 25 2009 13:40. Posts 8915

what do you mean what, where do you stand when he calls or shoves ? I mean obv we know where you stand if he folds but that doesnt profit us much.

HeRoS)eNGagE   Canada. Nov 25 2009 13:52. Posts 10896

if he shove i call if he flat i check turn
i can be wierd
u guys are talking like if u knew he will call or raise or w/e the flop
u dont know that and he def can fold to a raise
-.-

EvilSky    Czech Republic. Nov 25 2009 14:05. Posts 8915

what? whatever he fold we had owned, why will we want him to fold much worse hands than ours?

YoMeR   United States. Nov 25 2009 14:08. Posts 12435

much to thin of a board to ship it in profitably imo. and almost all hands shipping in vs you either you're slightly ahead of massively behind. Poorly played post flop imo. Pre is fine imo. lots of options and allows you to bluff raise more boards etc in the future.

so flatting is better then turn is a club and we lose to 2c2x?

HeRoS)eNGagE   Canada. Nov 25 2009 14:17. Posts 10896

im not saying riasing flop is ok for value
-.-

HeRoS)eNGagE   Canada. Nov 25 2009 14:27. Posts 10896

btw a little tip
dont slowplay from the button
as you may know people has the habit to think that 3 betting from the button is to steal
so its way better to always reraise ur big hands from there becasue people can 4 bet u because they think u steal
even if their is a huge squeeze boy in the BB
the squeeze boy is as likely to 4 bet here than to squeeze
well not as much btu still..
