fold equity?

Maybe im wrong but, wouldn't it be better to raise to like 32+ rather than pushing (its a huge overbet) to represent a very strong hand. He will fold to a 3bet of that size with the same hands he would fold to this overbet(I think, I could be wrong) and if he has a strong hand he'll come back over the top and you call w/decent odds. Seems like pushing you will often only isolate hands that have you well dominated (and you are an underdog here by about 7%, even more against a set). This is completely speculative though, plus I have no read on the player.

If you would push here in the same way with a set or something then it makes total sense to do it this way, so I dunno. My guess is that if you had bottom set or something you would put in a goodsized 3bet rather than push.
