The amount of times people suckout on the river and I make an overbet thinking I have the best hand is rediculous.

yea on these even loosely connected boards i found i had to bet huge to push out draws and most pairs called usually at the .01/.02 . I used to grind these too =/

Make a pot sized raise on the flop. Q9 OR the board having two of a suit should encourage you to raise at least 3/4 the pot at these stakes when you have a set. With both, easy pot-sized raise. Then there is something worth winning on the turn, and you shove, even if it's an overbet. The pot is so big at that point that you'd have to pay them off if they hit on the river, but they'll just check and fold if they miss.

Aside from the flop, I think you played the hand acceptably well. That will often happen... you can lose a sizeablepot where there is action on every street, but your one mistake was on an early street.

tooker: there is very little money in stts.
