UTG limp calls a lot preflop but I have not seen him make loose calls post flop so far in the session.

MP is a 40/29 with 1.8 aggression factor after only 35 hands. He strikes me as an aggressive regular who likes to raise and/or isolate pf then makes continuation bets on dry flops where the chances of him winning them is high.

I decided to 3bet with our hand since MP could be isolating the limper and we have a good hand to do it with. I didn't expect UTG to cold call the 3bet, but I still think his range is still wide here although now we can include dry AA** and KK** in them.

MP's range for calling could be more on suited rundown type hands and for sure this kind of player would 4bet his AA** and possibly some good KK** as well.

OK! On to the flop, we have a Q high FD + a gutshot for the nut straight... After all that talk, what do we do? Bet/get it in, or do we check behind? I'm not sure our diamond outs will be good, but they could be. But at the same time I feel like checking back is wrong somehow because we have only 2 SPR left and the pot is big.

My first instinct is to just pot it and make them fold their QQ**, maybe KK** and possibly their pairs + straight draws. But not really sure overall.

I think your instinct is correct, we gain a lot from their folds as we have no sd value, and this board doesn't hit them all that often so we should get a fair bit of folds and be somewhat live at least.

Can do an actual calc of it later.

I think we have around 40% equity here? Not sure...

That is enough especially with the folds you get

Yeah I get us as having 40% here 3 way, which is exactly what we need (and we could stack off with less when we're betting because we have fold equity).

So that's probably enough to just say betting is best here. But for fun ~~ I'll try to calc ev of the bet.

You get a ton of folds here actually, almost 36% of the time from my estimates. Didn't do it too carefully but I have the ev of a pot/call as +4.6$, so that should be really hard to beat with a check.

Hm.. Off-suite socks..
