not really that good at PLO but don't you have a really crappy hand on the board, especially for putting more money against canis if he ever raise? imma take he wouldn't really have any set on that board but still

im curious to hear what the correct play is here

Yea it's a crappy hand but its also a 4b pot vs someone who 100% has aa. I would shove here and expect my hand to be doing reasonably well if called, and it would be especially cool if the 3rd guy folded. This hand is probably near the bottom of my shoving range with lots of bd straight possibilities tp but no bd fds

Forgot he doesn't 100% have aa as its online. So he can show up with big rundowns +fd that we are doing reasonably vs.

I tend to fold preflop in these spots where I am likely to face allin on flop and a deepstack behind me left to act. Not sure if even this good a hand isnt a fold pf, a little worse I would fold for sure.

On flop as played:

You have 31% vs AA!AAA.

If VYcanisMajor goes in with: 3%-20%: (88,55,33,85,83,53,ss,76: (9,8,5,4,3),64: (8,5,3,2),42: (8,5,3,A)), then he folds around 63% of the time.

If he goes in (the rest 37%), you have 31% in the side pot vs his range and 18% in the main pot (if gambllllllle has AA!AAA).

So ev is:
EV = 63%*(500*31%-118)+37%*((618*18%-118)+(612*31%-306)) = -$22 (compared to flop fold).

Not a huge margin, but it seems like a close fold.

there is a light at the end of the tunnel... (but sometimes the tunnel is long and deep as hell)Last edit: 03/08/2013 16:33

Thx. Gamblllle ended up having QJ98hh and YCanisMajor had KK(67cc). Won sidepot with Canis and lost the main.
