Hey LP,

I'm the best man for one of my friends' wedding, and am organizing a 2-night bachelor party binge in Vegas a week before Christmas (a Sat and Sun night). As the group of us are all in/will be in med school, none of us are incredibly balling atm.

I'm trying to find a reasonable deal for a 4-5 star place (be nice to keep it below $400/night average) I've always stayed at the Wynn or Encore when I've been to Vegas in the past, but I'm up for trying new places.

Any recommendations/deals/potential hook ups?

Thanks guys!

i've been best man and party goer. best man is definitely more stressful but also more rewarding in the end. vegas is a great start. i wanted to do vegas but most groomsmen were broke graduate students so it was a no go. honestly, as long as you have alcohol and steak (and women/strippers) and don't put anyone in over their heads money wise everything will be ok and a fucking blast.

in order to give better recs we are gonna have to know what kinda crew you are.

bar, pub, lounge, club? alcohol of choice?

there are a wide range of restaurants to choose from. anything from red lobster to nobu. outback steakhouse to carnevino.

there are probably a lot of options for "vip" packages but be careful. some of them i've seen or heard of charge quite a high vig for doing easy things that novices might think are difficult.

i put women/strippers in parenthesis b/c a lot of fiances have no stripper rules. if you go to vegas for a bachelor party you kind of have to go to the rhino.

other things to do depending on crew are
-go shoot guns
-find your favorite sportsbook, bet on a bunch of football games, drink, watch, enjoy
-shows
-gamble obv
-fuck it, 2 day bender
-w/e

oh, also, i don't know how it will be in dec but one of the pool parties (rehab, wet republic) on sunday are pretty cool.

I was a midstakes player back in the day, but I didn't play enough to keep up with the increase in player skills. Combined with all the regulation in the USA (particularly WA state) I took my winnings to the stock market, but I still pop by to see how the community is faring

To RikD, thanks for all the helpful advice! I really appreciate it. We are definitely planning on hitting up a strip club. I'm well acquainted with the phrase RHINOWNED, but never been. Whats the minimum amount needed to have a decent time there? I've heard that girls won't talk with you unless you have more than $500, which definitely isn't in our budget.

Probably bar/lounge would fit well with our group. No real preference on alcohol type, but having a decent beer selection would be nice. Any good steak rec's would be well appreciated; hopefully keeping under $50/plate, but I realize that might be hard to do. My game plan was to gamble and hit up a bar/lounge the first night, and then go to a strip club on the second night.

I really like the idea of a shooting range, that's something I hadn't considered. Do you have any specific recommendations?

Thanks again.
