Imagine how much you'd make if you were on a stake when you tilted, and on your own money when you won!!

I always wondered, would you tilt more, less or the same if you are on a stake compared to playing with your own money?, most of my tilt aren't because of losing money but because of making bad plays, getting mad at myself etc, so maybe it would be the same...

I can answer that lol, I play micro at home, but on holliday, 10-20 live, on a stake, and it's much much higher than what you're used to. You really really think about the hands you lose, you go through them, ask about them, write them down, and you never do the same mistakes.

I think you also think more about "how am I feeling, am I playing good, I need to pee, ill go right away, I havent eaten in 3-4 hours, food, but not too much". Atleast I think like that.

When I lose on a stake, I get much much more affected than if it was my own, one night I lost 2000e, which is a lot to me, and I felt so down and sad I didn't want to go back home to the apartment we rented, I just went by the lake and sat for 20 minuts, trying to analyze why I felt so down and gloomy. Didn't want to affect my friends. And when I win, I don't get that happy, more like "could I have played better, and like. Have to watch, so I don't slip up".

So in summary, I won't tilt or spew on purpose, or play when tired/fatigued or not feeling it for sure, but on the downside, the emotional distress when things go bad, are x10 worse. Atleast for me.

Also the fact that a bad beat or bad play at micros loses you much much less than one at 10-20

I find theres huge variance in magic, sometimes i find the whole 'build up' is just incredibly boring.
that guy was really amazing. Seems like the show is flawed if he cant progress after his performance, but whatever.

i have a friend whos been choosing stake over a year now basically cuz it makes him feel safer and tilt less

on own money he feels more afraid and plays worse/takes degenerate shots etc

with a stake he has bounderys and rules, and plays more diciplined/better

(he has a really good deal)

Yeah i was entertained by it, I just didn't like some of the facts and stuff they said because I found out some were actually taken out of context and not exactly accurate for what they were trying to assert. Not a horrible show by any means, it seems that the quality of the eps vary a lot.
