just a short blog.
I've been getting into live poker recently at my local casino. the games there are very soft (nl200). And the tables are purely fish, i'd say about as easy as nl5 or possibly nl2. but the rake is 10% on every pot, with a $10 cap. which is insanely high. I can beat 1/2 6max online with a 1BB/100 winrate, do you think these live games are beatable with that amount of rake?

I used to beat 2/5 5/10 with 5% rake capped to 50€ , so definitely yes
edit: Actually I was crushing , but the swings are brutal ^^ |

is this FR? If it is and it's filled with loose dumb players you will be playing tight anyway and not paying that much rake (it's just from pots you win right?). And besides you should be playing tight as hands normally profitable marginally will turn -ev when you get rake taken even from small pots |

yeah its FR. playing with lots of loose passive players, and alot of shortstacks. I was playing pretty tight because of the rake. I have to call way tighter when shortstacks go all in because i need to be like at least 55/45 to win any money vs them.

in Brazil rake is 5% uncapped (some places cap at $250)
I know I can beat it without looking at my cards, so yeah, dont worry about your silly 10bux rake |

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol | |

ive won nearly 50 bi this year at live 1/2 over about 7 days total. The reason its so good is you end up 2-3bi deep against people who cant fold tpgk for any amount |

Yes you can beat it. And yes it will cut your winrate, and doesent matter if you play tight. Because fish money leaves the table every hand. But you can deff beat it with the rake |
