Ive been struggling a bit lately putting in a lot of volume. I know some of you here put in some serious sessions during your chase for SNE. I was just wondering you guys do to prepare for a long grind and also what you do while you are grinding to keep focused?

i usualy play a long session 2/3 of daily volume in the morning after i wake up, and 1 or 2 shorter sessions in the late afternoon or evening. works best for me. |

I go to school so my grinding isn't rly scheduled by the day,but I do have a routine:
I eat a decent sized meal or just a little bit if I'm not too hungry so I don't have to rush and make something to eat in the middle of the session,
always having a glass of water to drink,
wash hands every break(that's just part of my ocd),
if i get bored of the grind I sometimes put a movie on the tv just to have in the background,
otherwise I don't think about it too much.
I suggest joining a gym and starting a healthy (just not shitty food all the time) diet and trying to control your sleeping so you get ur body into a routine, and that will make you more happy and sharp mentally and thus, helping you play better each session.
^ is the best way to live rly
every time I get off this routine my poker for some reason starts to not go as good as it used to..

Eat well
Obv go to the toilet before the sess
Morning sess i d usually just take a shower grab coffee + food and then start playing knowing there is nothing else my body would need at the moment and i would be completely focused
I see you r playing micros so im suggesting you shouldnt play long sessions at all ...usually people overestimate their abilities and just jump right onto like 9 or 16 tabling or play 4-5hrs longs sessions or do both at the same time and in the end they find themselves stuck |

agreed with Spitfiree, I don't think it's a great idea to play alot of long sessions if your @ micros.
alot of good tips here. If you don't already have hotkeys set up for folding/raising/checking then you probably should, it helps alot with making multitabling less stressful. |
