Havent put in this many hands in a single session in like 6 months to a year. Maybe never! I keep fighting the addiction, but I caved and dropped $50 to grind away at rush and just play ABC with a few moves mixed in to exploit the rush dynamic. Interestingly I had very little success with my resteals and bluff's. It seems like almost everyone is just nitting it up at rush and playing straight up. The only money is truly coming from the fish, and as you can see they were in full suckout mode.
I dont really consider this a downswing, as that is more reserved for coolers and misreads, plus the occasional missed draw. I havent hit a downswing yet, so coupled with the suckout fest 10 BI's may not survive. Probably need like 50 BI's to handle all the bad beats, but this is all I feel like allocating right now.

oh sweet second session of the night. Micro stakes are so desirable to play at because I should want people continually calling me with garbage

Bankroll just dwindling away. Boy it's gonna be awfully depressing grinding NL600 one day making 15k/month where people only play decent hands...... |

Uhg so tilted right now. Every time I dip my toes into these fucking scrub stakes I lose. And every time I play NL200+ I win. I show a profit of 5BB/100 at Nl200 and NL400 at about 30k hands, which is a lot of hands considering I normally just single table the game. Then I always do something stupid like cashout half my roll and move up to 3/6 out of impatience and lose to a cooler. Fuck these fucking stakes, unbeatable! |

I mean seriously everyone always uses that psych statement, "those who try the same thing expecting different results are insane". Why oh why do I keep putting money into micro stakes poker, when I should clearly go where the money is for me. |

One last quickie before bed time, to help calm my nerves from those earlier sessions

Ahhh, much better. Anger levels falling....falling....falllllling..... gone... Sorry for the freakout, hate to be a whiner, at least Im not punching monitosr and shit though. Having some semblance of a bankroll certainly helps with that. No particular goals with this stunt however, just gonna grind b/c it's in my nature. |

anyone who says they can beat a higher limit of poker and not a lower limit with worse players has clear logical flaws. it sounds like a conundrum to me.
yea i used to score 30 points a game agenst kobe and the lakers but god damnit those high schoolers are so good at making layups i just cant win. |

I wouldn't be suprised to see failure at first when needing to adjust to the play of micros from higher stakes. I haven't played any high stakes or anything, but I assume the meta game is DRASTICALLY different
However, if they couldn't adjust, I would have to agree as well |

Well the goal of poker is to make money. It shouldnt matter what is happening at the tables, your only end goal is to win at the end of the day. At higher stakes I am stoked to see some maniac fish or ridiculous station just give his money away. I could give a fuck less how he's playing, I know he's good for money. But at micro stakes my goal isnt to make money, it's to move up. Every time some fish sets me back I feel like he's just making me have to start all over again for that session. I want to move up as quickly as possible to some stakes where the money is meaningful. So when I waste an hour of my life losing to bad beats I start to tilt, baaaaad. If I lost 3 BI's at NL200 in an hour I'd just shrug it off, evaluate my game, review the session, and try again later. This is why I can go play with live fish and not be bothered with a losing session. But at 1/2cent, I just cant take it, and I dont think I ever will to be honest.
I just rage tilted away my $50 roll after breaking even today. I was grinding away, a few standard fishy suckouts, and next thing I know it wont let me reload at a table. This instantly put me on tilt, because I was like "wtf? my roll is already so low I cant 4 table?" because I was 200BB's deep on a couple of other tables after rebuys. So while I was timing out trying to figure out what happened I noticed a couple of the beats I took, and just snapped. I started shoving every hand preflop regardless of action or cards. That was definitely the last straw for me though, I just cant play these stakes. I refuse to fold the best hand, plain and simple, and I know when I have or at least *should* have had the best hand, as odd as that sounds. I.E. raising AK and getting called by A8. I dont give a fuck if he hits an 8, the money is going in, calling me with A8o, you fucking faggot. I want you to see how badly dominated you were so you realize your only hope in this game is sheer blind luck, and that when you lose your roll you think back "well shit I really do suck because I keep playing dumb fucking hands". |
