ok so i hurt my ankle in college a few yrs ago leaving me unable to play sports for 3/4 a year. anyways so i gained about 20-30 pounds, which idc about all that much, but now that im playing soccer 3-4 times per week and my metabolism is going up, i see this as a really good time to try to relose that weight. i used to eat w/e i want...and i mean a shitton and never gain weight. anyways i probly realize i cannot do it as full force as i used to. i probly lift 2 times/week, which will be upped soon im hoping to 3-4 @ the minimum.
basically i am looking for some type of snack that i can snack on after i eat my normal meals that is somewhat tasty, cheap, and isnt too unhealthy. i find myself eating a meal, then being incredibly hungry after, and no idea wtf to eat and dont wanna pig out lol.
ty all!

Your best bet would be to eat foods that arent going to leave you hungry again in an hour. I used to know a lot more about this when I trained but now i've forgotten everything. I think foods rich in carbohyrdates like pasta (home cooked) and high in protein like cottage cheese with fruit tend to digest very slowly, leaving you feeling full for much longer. They are slow burning foods.
If you just have some oral fixation and want to chew on something, get some salted rice cakes and or just drink lots of water to keep your stomach with substance in it. |

Fruits, tons of fruits or grilled chicken, low on fat/high on proteins. |

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN | |

protein leaves you filling fuller, longer. Try a low-fat string cheese? Eating pasta won't help you lose weight at all. Insoluble fibers, fruits, veggies, low-fat proteins = all good. |

I'm a nutritionist... And the one thing that absolutely promotes satiety is fiber. I know most people can eat a half pound of ice cream in one sitting, but I guarantee you couldn't eat a half pound of baked beans in one sitting even though they have the same caloric value. With fiber also comes protein they go hand in hand, and plus your net carbs will be lower because net carbs = total carbs - fiber. Since Fiber is technically a carb but is undigestible so doesn't digest as sugar in 30 mins like carbs do. |
