One piece of advice I'm going to give you right away is don't believe everything you read on bodybuilding sites like it's some sort of gospel. If you go to 10 different websites about bodybuilding you'll be told ten different ways that are the best way to train this, that, or whatever. The articles are also mostly written by people who are more or less unqualified and have nothing but personal experiences to draw from. I've found it useful to take bits and pieces of what people suggest and try them out in the building of your own routines which you have obviously been doing.

However I do suggest that you don't just read something about "the CNS" overloads or whatever and take it all that seriously. I'd like to see who wrote that, what type of study was done, the details of the study etc etc before just taking their word for it. On a proper 4-day split I"m sure you can find 20 counter-articles that tell you it's perfectly fine to work to failure and in fact it has lots of benefits. A lot of stuff on fitness is poorly researched/in the theory stage.

For Example I often:
1. Warm-Up set
2. Work-Set #1
3. Work-Set #2 to fail
4. Burndown Sets to fail so if I started with say 85 pound dumbells in a flat chest press I would go to 75's 60's 50's 35's 25's or whatever doing as many reps as I can with each weight until i can't lift it anymore with no rest in between any of that.

I've actually found once you start to plateau with regular routines #4 is one of the best ways for me to be able to actually get strong enough to make the jump from 85's to 90's to 95's etc. So much of fitness is a matter of opinion and what works for your particular body type/what you are training for. Nothing is set in stone and like I said you'll find 10 different points of view on almost any subject. Just some food for thought really.

Good luck and it's good to see you offering to help others out.

Sorry dude he Jason Bourned me. -Johnny Drama
