This is really, really stressful. Bleh.
I've been set-over-set more than 5 times this month.
Almost everytime I've gotten it in I've been drawing nearly dead.
With QJ I flop AKTss in an 8way raised pot, I cbet and everyone folds.
With KK I flop KATss against a huge station/fish, he calls flop, turn Jr. He has AQ.
I have T8 on T84r vs bottom set.
77 on 79Qss vs QQ
33 on 37Tr vs 77
etc
I have 44 on 469ss and everyone folds to my cbet.
Sorry I can't bring myself to write anything constructive or interesting. Hopefully I'll run good and can start posting some interesting thoughts or whatever.
One thing is that I'm meeting a bunch of people, almost all of them other poker players. The 1/3-2/5 tables are jam packed with online midstakes regs (1/2-3/6). I need to get to 5/10 asap to get away from these guys during WSOP.
Obviously that's never happening because I'm stuck in set-over-set hell.
Though I do wish I played better (ie in the KK on ATKJ hand, stacks were $220 on turn w/ a $200 pot and I was oop, Myth says that bet/fold ~$40 is probably optimal but I bet $100/called due to the guy being a huge huge fish)..... I don't think I play so bad that I should be losing at 1/3-2/5.

wont the 5/10 games be packed with the same types during WSOP?
maybe u could try playing elsewhere if all your games are full of online regs.
go play at the nugget or something

lol I think the nugget has like 1/2 limit, gg life I'm suiciding if I ever have to play that game and I'm not wasted with 5 friends at the table.
I imagine the 5/10 will be gross too but from what I've seen so far it seems a lot of the online midstakes players are most comfortable at stakes upto 2/5. Maybe its just wishful thinking on my part but we'll see.
It seems like a moot point anyway, these days

I played at the nugget. I got owned ;(
theyve got NL games though. Cowboy (from Poker Bustouts) was at the table before i sat then he was trying to rally a squad together to head over to the mirage with him. If id seen poker bustouts before that moment I probably would have gone with him. I bet he can ramble on forever with some hilarious vegas stories.
Anyway, has live poker entered some bizarre vortex where its filling up with online regs?
Whats your usual poker room Night?

i've never been in a 1/3 or 2/5 game with more than one other online reg unless by choice
those games are really ez and 5/10 will be tougher. ur not getting away from regs
if ur running into online regs who are playing the same games as u... go to a different casino. play at really shitty ones like MGM grand, ive played in that 2/5 game with a friend and it was all fish
theres infinite amounts of 1/2-2/5 games in vegas, 5/10+ is where u can only really go to bellagio/wynn/venetian etc
bitch on a pension suck my dong
