sup all,

my backer recently contracted a lot of his backing operation, and i was one of the horses he cut. therefore, i'm looking for a new long-term backer. i'm posting this in a few different places, and applying to a few different backers, but i figured i'd post it here as well.

for ease, and so that i don't have to repost everything that i've already posted, here's the link to my application: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/135...g/looking-long-term-mtt-stake-390375/

past issues, OPR links/images, what i'd like to play, etc. are included in the link i provided above. if you have any questions, please pm me. if you'd like to speak to my recent backer (a nosebleed stakes HU cash player) about our relationship, pm me and i will give you his email address, as he'd rather not be made public in forums.

thanks for reading. i'll probably bump this in a day or so if it goes off the top 5 quickly.

edit: see this link .. http://www.liquidpoker.net/blog/viewblog.php?id=584408 .. for proof that i run good at the beginning of stakes.

At this point wouldn't it be better to just become a consistent 50 to 100NL grinder to earn your buy-ins for the tournaments you own the hardest aka 10$ re-buys and $20-50 freeze outs?

I mean I understand that for various personal reasons you prefer to play with a backer but at some point it might feel better to stand on your own two feet and keep all the profits nay?

Mig made a really good post on P5's explaining backing and why it's mutually beneficial for all parties. I wish i could find it, but basically if you don't know what you're talking about, don't talk about it.

He can play stakes higher than his bankroll would allow him to and can make a higher profit.

I know Mike and that's why I was asking him about it. Also despite one cited very good players opinion that doesn't mean I'm not entitled to discussion about the topic as I am certain there are varying opinions on the matter. I learn things myself by being wrong and by the way encouraging people never to speak unless they are certain to be correct is both foolish and rude.

Frankly I only wanted to know why he himself prefers to play on a stake as he has had some great success on his own including that 80k score in the warm-up that he didn't have to share .
