Hi guys

unfortunately i have to do 1 month poker break now
pretty important university stuff comming up in the next 30 days and i think my recent poker succes of the 2,5K month
will greatly distract me from preparing for tests ...
Liek i will always think in my head while learning >-< -> damn i could make 200$ right now while i do this stupid university stuff
making good money from poker + learning boring university stuff doesnt compute well for me
so i cash out + delete pokerstars from the HD untill 2nd of February 2009 when i will return to ship $$$

+ I am in the worst physical shape of my life and that has to change ...

After my MMA fight i got pretty sick (got a skin infection and wasnt allowed to make any sports)and therefore couldnt train for 1 whole month ... when i was healty again i got a bad cold and was sick another 2 weeks ....
after that i just played pokerz for 1 week ( which was this week)

So i havent done any sports at all for 7 weeks !!!

All i did was watching TV , drinking beers or playing poker all day ...
I was pretty sure that i got in bad shape but i didnt know it was that bad WTF

2days ago a friend of mine who i consider a medicore athletic totally owned the shit out of me in almost every discipline when we did some cardio and strength training together ...
I always used to be real machine concerning sports in the last years and i was always way better than him.
But 2 days ago i had not the slightest chance at all.

This made me realize i am probably in the worst shape of my life currently ^^

some stats :

I used to run 4KM in ~ 15 Minutes 40seconds ( which is pretty good if ure not a runner but a fighter in teh first place)
recently i could not even finish the 4KM >-< i had to stop at 3KM being 12.30 in time and after that i could only walk.
My feet + my lungs both just could not go any faster than walking speed at all anymore.

before that we did pushups ( real ones where u are close to touch the ground with your chest and lower stomach each repetition)
Before i had my MMA fight i did 3 series of ech 40 Push ups in a 15 minute time span ( 3minute break between each).
At that day i allready heavily slowed down in the 1st series after 17 Push ups ... at the 25th repetition i was done >-<
I managed to do a lousy 25 - 17 - 17 set in 20 minutes instead of my usual 40-40-40 in 15minutes >_<

After that Pullups -> normally i do 3 series of 12 fast pullups from totally stretched arms and feet up till the bar is at my chest. this time i did only manage to do 7-7-7 >-<

What greatly decreased was my overall arm and upper body strength
I also noticed this at the bench press ...
I used to do 5-6 explosive repetitions with 110% of my body weight ( I weigt 67KG and bench pressed 74KG 5 times)
This time i even had problems to push my body weight 3 times at all >-<

Well i am probably still in a bit better shape than teh average poker player on this forum
But still it hit me hard when i realized that i am only a shadow of what i was 2 month before atm.

this is a 1,5 year old picture of me that i actually took for my EX GF when we still were kinda semi together at that time
Yeha pretty poser i know ( I made like 40 pictures of my body and sent her )
well 67KG might sound liek nothing ^^ but i am only 173cm and have liek 10% body fat.
so its quite a bunch of muscles



well atm i am very far from that and look close to liek that

gl i know what u mean by being distracted from school stuff ^^
im also in my worst physical shape ever after being sick for 4-5 weeks and im so confused right now i have no idea where to start from to get in shape so a PM with advice would be great.It seems u should know about this stuff

That old pic is pretty good. That's the kind of Body fat ratio I'd like. I'll probably try to be a bit bigger though, since I don't have to actually do any cardio or something unless I start fighting or something. A bit girly to take pics and give to your gf, but w/e. The pic is obviously still pretty sweet.

Well always start with the basicas after a long break

1.) Running
2.) Body exercises or weight lifting with medium weights and high repetition.

first 2 weeks start slow and only train 2-3 times a week
wehn u feel getting in shape better u can increase ure training intensity

So like for 1st week

Running is important and healthy
I would suggest like 4-6KM with medicore speed 2 times a week. Dont know but i think like 30 minutes is a good time for that after a break
plug in some mp3 music and go for it ^^

Additionally to that do the main Body weight excercieses 1-2 times a week in 3 series doing as much repetitions as u can without killing ureself ^^
This will look like

-pushups 10-10-10 for example with 7-10 minutes break in between ( as an athelt u can decrease the rest period to 2-3minutes but as a beginner 7-10 minutes is
good)
- pullups 5-5-5 or something 7-10 minutes break
- some knee bend excercise for the feet like bodyweight-squats 15-15-15 ( or 20-20-20)
<--- bodyweight squads

should do the job for getting into shape again

I also use lots of stuff from this guy ( but thats more for advanced level and MMA fighting

1is credit back and landed immediatelly in my neteller account
the others are just listed as cashouts but arent at my neteller account so far

You should get a pulse monitor so you can properly train your heart and not strain it. Just got one for christmas lol, made me pick up running. Right now, running with the right pulse is a bit wtf, I don't feel tired at all but apparently I still have to keep this low tempo to train my heart. To give your heart the most effective training, your pulse should be somewhere between 130-160.

i am afraid to say ure wrong ....

130-160 pulse is for health and not for competitive sports
u have to keep that low tempo to ensure there is absolutely no risk to your health
has nothing to do with effectiveness.

I mostly train in the range of 160-190

lol cause if u want to see a face the camera must go like 1 more in teh distance
but since its a shitty webcam u wont see the muscles anymore that good ...
