played a fair bit this month, especially in the middle. had the biggest shitter of a down-up-down-up-down-up swing, just seemed to never end. my BR swung between $350 and $290 so many times it was pretty frustrating.
but i think i'm getting better now, folding alot more in the right spots, and not just donking away a buyin because i have KK on a board of lower cards.
i'd like to thank that northface guy as my inspiration to play every day.
October only:

Overall:

how do my stats look? i've been working on raising alot more.

well 10/5/3 ... is way too tight.
but seems your running good since you get paid off by incredible stupid villian moves from the hands you posted.
This will probably not work so good at NL 25 anymore
aim for something like 16/10/3 there.
try to not get involved in difficult spots too much ( position abuse becomes more important at NL25 than it is at NL 10)

thanks deadman taught me everything i know, blame him for my stats :D
and ye, starting to abuse position a lot more now, it seems like raising with any 2 from the button is profitable, since 90% dont go past the flop, of course only if it hasnt been raised already |

Any 2 is fine if there's a couple guys who are 10/5/3 in the blinds |

Well any 2 is ofc not profitable ^^
but any PP , any decent suited connector , any A and any K with a decent Kicker could be good for a button raise.
Also position is not sooo important at NL10 than at NL25+ since you dondt have much fold equity.
SO dont overuse the concept at lowest limits !
Abusing position is not only opening up your range from the button. ( its playing more agressive with a wider range vs a player who sits to your right)
You can 3 bet medium PP in position every now and then. ( 77 88 99 ) ( of course never make the same move over and over again ^^ -> mix your game) . Idea behind this is that many people have a much smaller 3 bet call range then a first in raise range. You will win the pot here kinda often preflop when u 3 bet a decent amount.
And even when they call you can often win the pot on the flop depending on player reads and flop texture.
You can also often use position vs Limpers with any decent connector ( 87s etc.) SInce the have a good playability postflop you can often abuse them preflop.
MP limps , you raise with 87s from the cutoff
u bet any decent flop ( with a high card etc.) even if you hit nothing ! since he only limped preflop ( he hasnt a good hand either) and you represent a good hand ( you raised) besides that he missed the flop 70% anyways.
ANother advantage of this is , when he hits the flop u have a decent chance to use your position to extract maximum value when u hit a better hand , get good draws ,2 pair or better
And in Position you have always the chance to shut down and fold when the situation gets too difficult and you get too much resistence while you dont have much of a hand.
Position also means you wont let the sb complete the blinds .
BB has position on SB so when someone completes the blinds -> raise with any 2 .
well since i play SH and not FR
i think this are the main points
I assume you dont use position that tricky as in SH games on FR
SO while on SH tables position abuse is the most important concept
dont overuse it FR.
Its of course an important tool to increase your winrate though |
