I guess I was just running bad over the incredibly small sample that was my first day. I've played somewhere in the neighborhood of 6000 hands since my start on Tuesday, and I'm up about $40. That puts my winrate at about 15 PTBB/100 hands I guess (no PT yet for me). Once I hit 15 buyins I started buying in fullstacked, and my bankroll is now $95. A few more days like this and I'll probably give NL5 a shot. All in all I've been feeling a lot more confident, though I did have a losing day yesterday (down $0.02 ).

Thanks to everyone who offered help on msn, but I don't actually have msn yet. I'll get it one of these days so I can talk to all of you. Thanks as well to those who have taken the time to comment on hands. I try to only post ones that I really need feedback on, but I admit that once I succumbed to temptation and posted a bad beat. Mea culpa.

Anyway, a few more hands that I still had questions about:
I called a shove here with a gutshot and flushdraw, probably quite marginal but it's not horrible is it? My guess is it would be better if I were the one shoving.

Was this good play with KK?

I'm guessing this is standard. It's a good thing the spade hit the turn because I shut down. Or should I not have?

Thanks all.

nice, you're so lucky the max buy-in for stars is $5, on UB it's $2 and they don't have NL5, goes straight from NL2 to NL10 ~_~ makes moving up so much slower.
IMO, all three hands are pretty standard though if it were me, I usually don't shove with a FD without holding the A, and third hand I would probably raise that weak bet on river and take it down (unless I had notes on that min-bet from him = strong)

gz on winning and:

hand 1) fold preflop, dont raise this in early, you can raise this from CO/button but definately not utg+1. the flop situation is marginal your right but its not horrible, u can probably fold at these stakes and find a better spot though, but a call is fine too.

hand 2) wp the 9 is a good card becuase it means you now beat TJ

hand 3) also completely fine
