really feeling the pressure. getting married and having kids never felt so natural.
but so does quitting my job, car payments, house payments, taxes, cell phone bills and going into the wild.
what is happening.

Maybe try plan B in a productive way, like self discovery. This could be world travel, or picking up many hobbies. But don't just be alone, meet new people.
Then, after you know more of who you are and what you want, you can go back to see if you want to actually get married have a house get the other job you maybe always wanted etc |

At first I read "time to pick up a hooker again"
I thought to myself.. hmm I don't see how this will solve his problems, although there is some non 0% chance it may |

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same | |

imho, if you want to quit your job, yet you have cell phone bills, car payments, etc, self discovery (including "world travel" is about the dumbest thing you could do.
Get off your ass, find something you enjoy doing, and try to make money doing it. If that isn't possible, then suck it up and get a big boy job to pay for your shit and then revisit how you spend your money.
They say that money doesn't buy happiness, but I say if it doesn't buy happiness, then you are spending it wrong. Forget all the materialistic dumb shit you might buy and get shit on the cheap. Pay cash for an old yet reliable vehicle and stash money for the day that you know will come when it needs a repair.
Tired of people buying a stupid expensive shit they don't need and complaining about money. I know someone that recently couldn't make a cell phone payment but bought a pool in the same month. shit. |
