So the other day, I played a ton of sit n goes at pokerstars. Halfway through my session, the tournaments I am registering stop opening, and before I can notice, I've registered, and blinded out of ~30 turbo sit n goes. (I just assumed that TN malfunctioned and wasn't registering because sometimes it hits the tournament tab, and doesn't reg stuff, but it said "currently registered in 40 games".) After I saw this, I click "registered tournaments" and it says I'm in 40 games that are running... I still have ~13 tables up that I am playing with 0 error, completely connected to the internet, using skype, youtube, etc without a single problem. I email stars about the problem, and they say it is somehow my fault. Thoughts?

Poll: Should I get a refund?
(Vote): Yes
(Vote): No
(Vote): Nobody cares

Sorry if this wastes people's time, but I feel that stars support has been getting worse post Black Friday, at least for me. A lot of times before, they would be a lot friendlier and joke around, etc, and these days they seem to just be dicks with no sympathy for someone who lost ~30 buyins due to an unknown error or an "internet outage" even though I was connected the entire time, and even played games after the software glitch, or whatever it was.

Hopefully I described the problem accurately, if it's unclear, just ask me to clarify something...

were you able to manually open the tables? It might be a bug in TN or other software you use?

Fujikura   United States. Aug 24 2013 20:36. Posts 1795

I could have manually opened the tables, but as far as I was concerned, I had no connection issues..... I was regging tournaments (lol?) so my connection was fine.... and I played 15 tables... I thought TN just stopped regging..... but I was getting blinded out... I don't see how ppl don't think I need a refund... maybe misunderstanding the situation?

Yea I could manually open THIRTY tables... anyway, I restarted stars, most of the tournaments were blinded out... how could I know there was some error when the 15 tables I was playing were already up? Seems dumb to me :o

Ah ok. I thought people were serious, that's why I was legit super confused... I mean, I register tournaments and the tables never pop up, yet blind me out, seems like it's Stars' fault for sure. Cya $200 that they said won't be refunded, fucking lol?

If it's their fault, yea they should compensate you.

You can always make a big stink about this on 2+2 Internet Poker sub-forum. Post your story and all e-mails, maybe a rep can help you. They hate negative publicity.

This happened on bovada to me but even worse. The tournament table popped up but it was empty. I was seated and no one else. This was a late reg to a 55$ freeze out so the blinds were already at 100/200 or something. My table never filled nothing was happening so I closed it and clicked 'take my seat' in the tournament lobby. This just caused the empty table to pop back up. I did this several more times clicking 'take my seat' then closing the empty inactive table that inevitably opened each time. I clicked on a random active table in the table list in the tournament lobby and my full table immediately popped up mid hand and it showed I had hole cards (nut flush in a 5way ai pot lol) but really I had already timed out and that was just part of whatever glitch was happening. I was blinded down from 3k to under 2k at this point and watched the rest of the hand play out. Next hand I was back in the action everything just fine.

Bovada said it was lag on my part some connection problem despite the fact that I was playing on other cash and sit n go tables with absolutely no problems seamlessly playing poker. I was also surfing the web and streaming some music with no issues. I have great Comcast Internet that is super fast and has not given me one single problem in two years. Of course they gave me nothing, so gl bro

Really sucks. Hope it works out for you.

it sucks, but PokerStars can't just give refunds based on errors in the client side of their software. it would lead to people abusing the shit out of them.
I think that's the reason they don't refund you...
