Actually for the 1 year he played he did remarkably well and had he continued he probably would have been good. Baseball is a very hard game to just jump into and to jump right into double A is no small feat.

WTF are you guys going on about, he's not in some crazy form of denial or suffering from mental health issues, he's simply on his own without a backer and a limited income. Wtf do you expect him to do, go pro playing nanostakes? Grind MTT's with a 5k roll and pay the bills? I mean seriously, he's doing what anybody in his situation would do, trying to take the most profitable yet realistic approach he can. You can make like 2k at NL50 per month while running +EV. The only thing you should be railing on him about is if he snap tilts from a bad NL50 run and jumps to NL400, tilts again and puts his roll on a 10/20 table and goes busto by the end of the week. I mean for christ's sake you have a premier player like longple piss away half a million for the lulz, beg for money, and basically go completely busto for no reason whatsoever. Neilly has never done anything this extreme. He always tried to play what he thought he was capable of, not purposely dumping ridiculous sums of money just because he can. He lacked the financial maturity to control himself because he's had a get-out-of-jail-free card in the form of a backer for like 2 years now.

Personally I think he'll have a normal job in 6 months or less unless he goes on some sort of sick heater, but the amount of hate and people hopping on the bandwagon is disgraceful. Everyone just taking shots and picking on someone while they still can. He makes an entertaining blog that almost everyone reads daily. He purposely puts on this front like it doesnt bother him and stays positive with everyone and you still bully him. I'm not saying you have to be supportive and just respond with "GL BRO!", but all this "omg you are a paranoid schizophrenic who clearly needs medication" type shit needs to stop. Let the man live. I almost get the feeling like you all want him to fail because if he succeeds you wouldnt know what to do with yourselves.

Neilly I wish you the best man, you should probably avoid this site for awhile because this negativity cant be good for your mojo. Even if you try to stay positive that shit creeps up on you. You cant be successful with a bunch of people chanting "fail fail fail!" in your ear. Surround yourself with people in your camp, not people making fun of you. Everyone used to make fun of Marshall and look at him now. Well they still do make fun of him but for different reasons. Go hang on 2p2 for awhile, help others, and come back once you've made something of yourself, thats my advice. That, or change the nature of your blogs if you want to keep people involved in your life, and discuss things other than poker since everybody disagrees with your life strategy.

newbsaibot you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. i guess there's some bandwagoning but a lot of his harshest critics also want to see him succeed and have offered him lots of good advice (both wrt poker strategy and life).

He needs to get a fucking JOB and remove himself from ANYTHING to do with gambling or poker.
