Actually for the 1 year he played he did remarkably well and had he continued he probably would have been good. Baseball is a very hard game to just jump into and to jump right into double A is no small feat.

WTF are you guys going on about, he's not in some crazy form of denial or suffering from mental health issues, he's simply on his own without a backer and a limited income. I mean for christ's sake you have a premier player like longple piss away half a million for the lulz, beg for money, and basically go completely busto for no reason whatsoever. Neilly has never done anything this extreme. He always tried to play what he thought he was capable of, not purposely dumping ridiculous sums of money just because he can. He lacked the financial maturity to control himself because he's had a get-out-of-jail-free card in the form of a backer for like 2 years now.

Personally I think he'll have a normal job in 6 months or less unless he goes on some sort of sick heater, but the amount of hate and people hopping on the bandwagon is disgraceful. Everyone just taking shots and picking on someone while they still can. He makes an entertaining blog that almost everyone reads daily. He purposely puts on this front like it doesnt bother him and stays positive with everyone and you still bully him.
