i'm looking for that thread where the guy posted a hand ( i think it was a live hand ) and everyone was like wtf quad flush. instant classic thread but i can't find it
I've been running extremely bad lately, a bit over 10k downswing at NL400. I mostly played good but ended up tilting at least 7-8 buyins because I couldn't bear losing anymore. It's been quite crap, If anyone want to look up my HH and politely show me the error I'd greatly appreciate (Ignore the tilt comment). A lot are just crappy beat but some are def spewy or spot where I have no clue. I basically lost all my profit for this month it sucks a lot, haven't had any good month for around 3-4 months. I've been playing a lot of tables, around 12 to 14 and tried to cut down to 6 and 8 and didn't work, hit some horrible setup and had an hard time staying tight with so few tables.
Well Obama's heater is over - it's 49-45 with Obama holding a 4 point leading, not as good as yesterday's 50-44. But I still think it's the economy, stupid.
cashed for first time in tournamentby Night[Mare], September 21
Ah this is the first time i cash. Tourney was 30 people $1 + .20. Ended in 2nd place being the largest stack on the HU, i had a couple of bad luck rivers and then finally lost JT vs AQ .
Selling pieces of myself for the WCOOP Main Event later today. I'm selling up to 50%, with buyers having to get at least 5%. There's no premiums or anything like that.
Slow-playing one pair on drawy flop (board)by T8Suited, September 21
Don't know which board this topic should go, so how about my blog?......
During my recent sessions I have been checking TPGK+ / overpair on drawy flops quite a bit, vs both decent player or stationy donks. The downside is of course I give out free cards to drawing hands. On the other hand I keep the pot small and/or underrepresent my hand quite a bit, and could get a worse pair to try to bluff catch vs my apparent missed overs. Or I can induce bluffs vs aggro players
Doomers blog made me realize that I should have been telling people how to register to vote as part of my blog posts. It's a hell of a lot easier than you would think, and the Obama campaign has set up a sweet online tool which will help you register, switch to mail in ballot (skip the lines!), find your polling location and more! It only takes a couple minutes and this year is way too important to sit at home when such a small effort on your part will get you registered with a mail in ballot.
Ok so i just made up my mind and decided im voting for obama.
There is a problem though, I dont want to physically go and vote because I'm lazy as fuck.
So im looking for someone that is going to vote for maccain, and i want to make an agreement with that person that neither of us will vote. Who is intrested in staying home ? :0
I was at $490 with only 1 buyin to go at NL10, and then i lost 7-8 80-20 pots and spewed a litle money, and ended up down 9 buyins and at $400. Today, I decided I was in a good mood, and I was able to concentrate pretty well, and I was able to make 4.5 buyins in 1k hands. I ran a little well, which helped as I had only 1 cooler, top set vs flush draw, and he hits on river. No biggie.
I am not sitting at about $445, and I feel like I can get my game going back well, so maybe I can finally hit NL25 soon. Almost a year of playing, and 215k hands, and still haven't hit Nl25 yet. Soon I hope it will happen.
Bad Beat: Hold'em Manager starts up and says "Stopping auto-import" when it just started, and I didn't even tell it to import, and it wasn't. Gonna check that up the holdem manager support or something. anyways I was thinking about cashing out, because bad beats were a bitch, or put myself on a 1 month self-ban. But I think the small heater really helped me out.
Rare session -- afterthoughtsby T8Suited, September 20
Basically there's too much stuff going on in my life. So I have quit playing intense poker. Nowadays I am playing once every 2 weeks.
Hands from an enjoyable 500-hand session: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/530794 97c I had a moderate feeling he was slowplaying a set, but I was too weak-tight to shove with a backdoor flush on the board...... http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/530791 AA ......but I trapped the dude for his stack the next hand......
