Don't know which board this topic should go, so how about my blog?......

During my recent sessions I have been checking TPGK+ / overpair on drawy flops quite a bit, vs both decent player or stationy donks. The downside is of course I give out free cards to drawing hands. On the other hand I keep the pot small and/or underrepresent my hand quite a bit, and could get a worse pair to try to bluff catch vs my apparent missed overs. Or I can induce bluffs vs aggro players

Examples. These are all good:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/531402 QQ Suboptimal turn and river, but I still caught up on the betting and stacked the dude
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/531408 KQd value vs flopped pair+draw that didn't improve
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/531421 KK luckie flop check

Any thoughts?

i don't like the AA check behind, board isn't nasty enough. sure you don't wanna get check/raised but the board isn't bad enough that even his calling range is doing really well against your AA. i like where your head's at but if you are checking AA on this board then you're overdoing it.

the QQ is overdoing it too. i like checking if it's 548 all spades and you don't have the Qs but, once again, enough of the range that he CALLS with is drawing really thin, so can't forego a value bet on this flop.

the KQdd is a little better, really tough to get 3 streets of value anyway so checking this flop is prob neutral or good (compared to betting).

the KK looks fine also.

Eh, I can go a few more orbits in life, before taxes blind me out - PoorUser
