Poker poker poker. I took a month off from the game in June and had a horrific time getting back into the 2/4 and 3/6 games on Stars during July. In late July I started playing fewer tables and had some initial success but then suffered through the longest break-even stretch I'd ever encountered [100k+ hands]. It began with me running terribly, but by the end I just wasn't playing winning poker.
After taking another short break I decided to move down to 1/2 to regain confidence. Things have gone very well so far as I've managed to maintain a $220/hr pace over 34,000 hands. I'll probably play a few more weeks of 1/2 then start mixing in some 2/4.
I'm still not really enjoying the game, though, and I just can't imagine myself ever moving past 5/10 or even 3/6 at this point without re-discovering the passion required to continue improving.

Totally blank streets too, except I guess that 9 could make a straight, but I was literally just afraid.
1 part dark rum
1 part ginger beer
1.5 hours of drinking every time Biden or Palin blamed Wall Street for people spending outside their means

5 hours of smashed poker to unwind =

53/19 over a small sample.
Flop is obviously great; a draw that I could possibly overcharge someone like him to pay, and my paired K. I lead out as normal, and he called pretty quickly, so I figured his range was mostly flush draws or weaker kings. The turn was kind of a stupid card because it's unlikely he had some sort of two pair. I lead out with a weaker block bet (first time ever this session) to see where I stand, and he responds with a pretty quick miniraise. I was certain he had a flush, but for so cheap, I figured I'd call and reeval, or maybe even spike a full house. After his strong bet on the river, I folded.
I found my face in my hands many times last night when Palin started answering a question in the debate... wait, I mean when she dodged a question and just talked about Alaska and energy. It was obvious that she'd spent her time in Arizona memorizing a bunch of talking points and attack lines to produce during the debate, and so she just made sure to go through all of those points and try to throw in an attack line whenever possible. That's why we got to see this horrible flop of an attack line from her:

Rather than this genuine zinger from Biden:

On the other hand Biden gave the performance of his life. He didn't talk excessively - actually I think Palin took more time on the clock cause she just wouldn't shut up even if she wasn't making a point. His answers were clear and concise and showed his understanding of the policies and gave us specifics on the plans and why they were important. He focused on McCain while Palin tried to pull him into the mud.

While Palin is just trying to win America over with a wink and a smile...

There's also the fact that she had a few gaffes while Biden, the supposed gaffe king, had a clean night. She got the name of the general in Afghanistan wrong and also got his position on the war there wrong. She said that McCain was in favor of bankruptcy judges having the power to rework mortgages when McCain is totally opposed. And then she kept up the usual lies with things like saying that Obama's health care plan was a takeover by the Federal Govt, which isn't true, or that he was going to painfully raise taxes.
I think she did better in the debate than she did in the sit down interviews - why? Cause it's a great format for her. A bunch of topics, 2 people sharing the time, and no followups. So she could just throw out memorized talking points and attack lines and it's all good. In the interviews there was more depth and time for her to mess up, and boy did she. So yeah, she was better in the debates than the interviews, which I expected. She didn't exceed expectations. But I think Pat Buchannan said it well when he pointed out that if you liked her you loved this performance, if you disliked her this made you hate her, and if you're in the middle then who knows.

So anyways ive deposited all my moneys into PS cos neteller was running this promotion and if u transferred money thru neteller they give u like 400 back if u transfer around 2k.
And i decided to give PS a try since every1 seem to be in love with it. And it seems that they were right. PS is pretty good.
Still havnt got the money from nteller but i hope theyll give it to me. ANyone know about this?
btw check out my BB/100 for NL50 FR it must be a sign lol.
This is my best month money wise i think. It isnt impressive cos i usually suck lol.
So anyway i played some, won some and as usualy started loosing. I had a crazy tilt session on NL25 jsut for fun but it ended up hurting my BR by more than i thought lol -400 bux in very few hands - fkn siiick.
So after that i was feelin really shit, and decided to give Full Ring a go at NL50 and was doing fckn great as you can see from the PT. Then i gave shot to NL100FR cos i was rolled for it as well but it didnt go as planned. Dunno why. I think cos its full of 10/8 nits on every table.
SO then i played around. at NL100, NL50 6max etc and seem to loose moneys, as my highest point was BR of 3k but i ended up at 2440 bux. Which is my highest BR ever!!!! but still not happy cos i couldve gotten more.
I also ordered few books from FPP store - Ace on the river, Mathematics of Poker and Poker Mindset, ive already got them all delivered and started reading Ace. Ive also ordered ipod shuffle but that still havnt gotten to me. HOpe its not lost.
