so my first month of nl25 is over, I grinded a lot last two days because I needed 1200FPPs more to got goldstar. It went smoothly but unfortunately masstabling (16-18) and robot play reduced my winrate alot, so I'm not really happy with winnings but it'll be better
KEY fucking points of my poker career, I played so many MTT's in my life.. final tabled some, but never could win
funny thing is that, if I ever won any of em i'd probably have broll to play atleast nl100... but still, KEY fucking points they outdraw me...
im still waiting for my age to come, but this is really depressing for me... seriously playing ur best, putting ur money in good places for year, but yet cannot win any of these... yesterday I lost AK to AQ on final table, two fucking biggest stack clashed and I lost to his flush, we had opposition crushed, I was the one who shoved preflop so he really could fold but yeah... got 90$ and 1st was for 5k, im gonna cry now

thoughts on NL100HU: it looks like everybody is using KRANTZs strategy ;0. That means its a lot harder than tight passive nl50
After my good 34k month in december i finaly got the br i wanted
and all my winnings for 2009 => cash out
So
i started january very baddddddd
Im so dumb
I use to play nl400-600 HU and 1 nl1k HU
And i started to play nl1k-600 6 max, lol, im so bad
I got alot of problems to fix my play for 6 max
So i started the month -11k
I still have ALOT of leaks in HU and i have alot more in 6 max, trying hard to fix this
I still have problem to run PT and stuff correctly on pacific... this software crash so often, and when it
crash it fuck the hands and they all gets errors while importing into PT
So if the software crash, you have to open it, close the tables you were playing(and you dont want to do that, lol)
and open it back using handgrabber like always
So when you crash you say '' fuck that '' and fuck PT
This is why my PT dont show all my winnings http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/006adc04537271085f35aa1b4ebf5df6.jpg
If you guys have comments about my stats and stuff feel free, i have no idea what kind of stats i should have
i know of one my big leaks is that i call way too much preflop from bb(so oop)
Anyway.....
~11k missing on PT
So im up 28k month for january
Not as good as december but im still very happy
This ''life'' is kinda new to me...
its the first time im really winning and cashing out real amounth
I still want to get a car...
I still have to think about it but anyway
I went to ''montreal auto show'' ...2 weeks ago i think, and i took somes pics of cars i may get...ill make a blog about it later i think
I have to keep it up with poker, i wish the next month will be good too...
Since its new for me, i have no idea if it will keep going this way !
Im also interested into getting a coach since a really want to keep winning.. so i think i have to make more efforts and more thinking into the game...
If someone is free, tell me
Also, im thinking about moving maybe 10k into another poker site...because since im a HU player..i can wait like 1-2 hours before getting a game (and it can be a 200$ game..''wow'')
If you guys have any idea what site is good..tell me!
Im thinking about ipoker
This is all what i can think about atm
Gl all for the next month!
January was a good month for me in poker. Started off running sick hot and winning a lot in the first 10 days or so, then the rest of the month had an ok run. Played a bit of 10/20 NL too recently, hope I will be able to beat these games longterm. So far it seems promising.
That is about $38,147 usd. I played a bit on other sites too + some tourneys and a bit of live poker, actually lost a wee bit in total in those other areas, so total for the month is +$36,478 usd . Pretty good result by my standards, not my monthly record, but one of my best scores for sure.
Hope it is enough this time Sean...
Future perspective
Just to say a bit to my 2009 goals. I dropped school for (at least) the next 6 months, I am actually going "full pro" for that time period. That means that I will try to give poker a bit more time and will take it more seriously. My primary goal for this year is basically to see how far I can get in poker. That doesnt mean that I want to or even plan becoming a nosebleed player in 2009, but I want to at least taste it. And I hope to be able to tableselect and play any games up to NL 25/50 regularly with positive expectations by the end of this year. If that fails but I will be able to beat NL 5/10 for good winrates, then I will probably focus on improving my multitabling skills and go LA's way (it is the less preffered option).
As for monetary goals, I would like to win around $365k usd this year, which would mean $1k/day on average. It is more of a guideline to me though, not something I will hunt for any cost. Also, the number may change both ways during the year.
Other than that, I would also like to find a good, balanced life-style as a poker player. It is quite an important condition for me when I will be deciding whether or not I want to pursue poker for the next several years as my main focus. Besides other things, it also includes quite a lot of travelling to some poker events and possibly staying not just for the tournaments, but longer. Will see about it though, dunno yet.
Yaye! I just won a seat to the EPT Copenhagen. Spent probably like 2-3k on sattelites so I would have been pissed if I didnt win it. I think its going to be awesome, Copenhagen is a sick city and this will be my first major live donkament ever so Im really exited! I also hear alot of legendary lpers are coming like mezmerizeplz and nolan.
January was very good to me. Finally well started at NL25 and looking forward. Milkman convinced me to switch to FTP for rakeback in his video, so I'm gonna do that soon.
November and December had been shit.
I had grinded 150$ at NL10 before losing it in 1k hands at NL25 in November, then I grinded it back just to lose half of it in 160 hands giving a second shot at NL25.
I needed a change so I gave a try on FR tables and it worked well. I found out that FR is like 0 variance and anti-tilt since it's super smooth. Fishes are much more obvious and fishy at NL25 than at NL10 imo, but since going up from NL10 to NL25 is soooooooo tilty when you get unlucky because it's 2.5x buy-in and the average player goes from super nit @ NL10 to superspewmonkeytilt @ NL25, I think it's better to get used to them at FR for a couple thousand hands before switching to 6max where you can abuse them so much.
Also I watched Myth's video and everything he said about abusing fishes (and showing how to loosen up against them to do so, isolate, etc.) has helped me alot. Milkman's was really good too. Now I realize how value betting stations at NL10 is boring.
When I first started coaching with sakisaki everyone was asking me if I was gonna be learning HU since he's a HU specialist. That was never my plan - I was a 6max guy and learning a new form of poker sounded daunting. Plus my BR was hurting and I wanted to rebuild to a level where I could actually get some profits. Then of course, I just had so much to learn about 6max.
Now I've learned sooooooo much from the coaching and feel my 6max game has improved like crazy. There's still more to learn, but I realized that the areas I want to improve would be served by learning HU. Basically postflop poker and hand reading are what I need to get better at and if I can become a good HU poker it will greatly improve my 6max postflop/hand reading game.
So I asked sakisaki to teach me HU now and he's agreed! Awesome =) My plan is to finish out this weekend / jan playing NL100/NL200 6max and then starting monday I will switch into my HU lessons. Feb will be a HU month. I'm excited!
