For some reason my HEM got all funky yesterday. It kinda self shrunk... now I can open it and it goes to the systray in the bottom right, and I click that and nothing pops up on the screen but it is in the bar on the bottom of my screen. I have to right click that and choose "maximize" and it will appear again. If I try and get it to a size where I can resize it, then it disappears. Any ideas on how to fix it?

AK hearts, sets and possible over pairs are the majority of his range. I figure flush draws are commited, TT JJ will fold out (but the pot's so big already), AA KK and sets will call. i mainly shoved because i didn't like the idea of the flush completing and me being in a shitthole spot, nor did i like the idea of a flush card missing and him possibly getting away from the hand.

America is like so cool! I love every second of it! Its superhot, always 100% sunny, wonderful beaches, lovely cities and nice people! Since I arrived here I havnt been still a single second and I wouldnt want that to change a bit!

The first day we decided to visit Universal Studios since it would only be 32'C and maybe 2 cloudes on the sky. It was awesome! Pretty cool to see all the studios etc. Especially waterworld was a really good show they had put up.

The day after that it was beach time, so we moved to a hotel in Santa Monica and went on the beaches there.. they are just so biiig and long! it was really fun to go swiming too since the ocean had a perfect temperature and it was a lot of big waves etc.. Ofc you have to end that with som UFC and a big buffé to become a perfect day!

Yesterday we moved to Hollywood and did all the touristy things you can do there. Walk down the walk of fame, take a tour to see the celebrities houses, take photos of the sign, see some celebrities (most famous Jay Leno) and buy some souvernirs etc. Pretty fun to do ones but I dont think there is much point doing again if you dont wanna really go ballin and spend lots of money on clubs etc.

This morning we rented a car and went on a small roadtrip. Stopped at a couple of places (like newport beach) and finally ended up in San Diego. I must say I love this "little" town (bigger then Stockholm, but compared to LA we came from) and even a city I could imagine myself living in. Very pretty!

So far, the trip has been perfect, and the best thing is that the best parts of the trip hasnt come yet! Thats Vegas(!) and the plan is that we will arrive there either tomorrow night or the day after that in the morning.. I will be sooo sick! I have longed for this day now for a long time and now it finally will happen!!
We are planning on staying at Bellagio atleast one night (it will be fun to see Bobbys room), and in some other hotel 2-3 nights, depending on a lot of things. Any recommendations? It would be fun to see a lot of different stuff when we´re finally here.
Except from poker I must visit a show too somewhere, havnt the slightest idea of whats running out there but I guess there are brochures on the hotels.

Hope to see some of you guys in Vegas the next few days!

I've been grinding a lot since coming home and I think I've been playing really well. The live sessions in Vegas actually taught me a lot about exploiting fish and gave me practice at creative thinking which has allowed me to take some new lines, make more bluffs, and value bet better. Overall I feel like I'm playing really well with lots of patience and emotional discipline.

I know I've had at least 1 losing session since I came back but I think the rest were break even or winning. I dunno cause I'm still not checking results. That's also why I haven't posted a end month results blog in ages, cause if I'm really playing for the long term a single session, week, even month is just a small part of it all. I think yearly results make a bit more sense to pay serious attention to, or monthly results if you're playing 100k+ hands a month. This also helps me to approach wins and losses with the same mindset. I don't think huge highs from wins and gigantic lows from loses is a healthy way to live, cause while the highs are awesome the lows are devastating. If I can approach the entire game as a long term investment and just focus on how I played then I can be happy all the time as long as I keep playing well. Letting my happiness get tied into how my bankroll is looking always caused me more pain and suffering than joy.

BTW for those who read this, i don't pretend to be some PLO master, i just decided to write my considerations about the game cause i needed to get my ideas straight.

Preflop ranges against your loose passive micro stakes PLO fish

VPIP 45+/PR:4, and their range is pretty much any pairs, any double suited cards, any 3 straight cards. They have such a wide range that any flop can give them a set, two pair... You don't know that much about their hand. The rare time they raise, is clearly aces, kings, or double suited high card wraps. The flop comes J43, he could easily have TT43 or something silly.

I found that against these guys who limps A LOT, your better out overlimping a large % of your range, because first they will never limp fold, and so your often pushing a small preflop equity. ie:

Villain1 has Ks7s2d4d 25.44%
Villain2 has Ac2s7h8h 33.59%
Hero has QdJcTh9d 40.97%

Something like that is really really close. Your better off waiting to the flop where you can crush him with real equity. That dosen't mean you should never raise, because QJT8 will sometimes completely crush lower wraps, but you should still be careful. With these people its simply ''which equity do i want to push the most, a 5% or a 15%.''

Again i want to make it clear that this is mainly against loose passive. Against a tag, you need to push any equity you can have, cause thats probably the only one you will have.

Anyway, thats my 2 cents.

First of all, gratz of reaching ITM in the main event, too bad you didn't FT, but still nice score.
Now let me make it clear that I did not STEAL john's money from his wallet. I was informed like 3 days after that happened and I find it quite unfair and really uncool that you guys accused me of it. I am really really pissed off by this.

- i got about 4k from john online when i was in the philippines, paid for my own tickets, but i RETURNED it online like a week before when i decided not to play the M.E., it wont make any sense for me to steal 1500 there when i just couldve kept the 4k and just delete my msn and not bother buying fucking plane tickets. look ive known john for over 2 years now, and im pretty sure ive dealt with him enough for him to trust me with money. im just pissed some you guys suggested i stole from him, esp when im not around to explain or defend myself.

- i sold about 6kusd for his stars money when i got there to john, without any vig of any sort, i HAD money when i was staying at the house (about 10kusd cash), I even slept with my wallet in my pocket coz I didnt want to lose the 4k I had left since i was going to LA in a couple of days.

- i've already talked about going to LA if u remember, i dunno if john remembers it or not, but the only reason i stayed till the weekend was coz john told me to come to the lp party, and i wanted to go as well.

- I havent even seen your rooms or the 2nd floor for that matter, i stayed at the house coz i wanted to meet hang with john, so from staying at the new york new york for a week i stayed in the house's couch, which now i kinda regret after this accussation.

meeting you guys was kinda cool, but i just have to clear my name regarding this whole wallet theft thing, it's just not ok for me to be accused like this. well the thief is prob still there at the house so this is a headsup as well. i hope john just misplaced his money but whatever, I just hate being accused of this shit. i tried calling u up but u were prob playing the ME or something.

Spent the weekend with my lady cause I missed her like crazy and had to catch up on lost time. Had a lot of fun. Friday we went out to dinner with my dad and then partying in Boulder with a bunch of HS friends who were in town. Saturday we chilled during the day and then went to a home poker game with friends that we made while working on the Obama campaign. After the game we went out dancing. Then yesterday we tried to go on a hike but as we were driving towards the mountains we saw huge rainclouds coming in, so we ended up doing a picnic in the park by our house instead and then spent the afternoon lounging. I've had a shitload of fun since I got home =) It's nice to be back in CO!

I'm spending today catching up on a million errands that I have put off and also trying to get back into the online grind mode. Gonna start back into coaching on Wed, already have a session set up with my full time student. If you want coaching sometime this week send me a PM with the info from the bottom of this post. Obv if I've coached you before then just send me a PM with a time you'd like to do it.

My big goal right now is to find some live cash games to play in locally. Now that I've seen how ridiculously easy it is I wanna keep building up a live roll. If I can find a NL200 game live it will be so much easier to make decent money =)

Sweet, so this will be my first blog and depressingly it won’t be about poker, but about a girl. Read further if you want to, whatever. So, I’m taking a microbiology lab course this summer. The first day of class, I was a little late and so I found the first table with an open seat. As I go to sit down, I kind of notice through the corner of my eye that the girl sitting next to me has been staring at me, although I’m not too sure so I look and our eyes lock for an awkwardly long time before we both smile. The girl is very cute and I’m thinking cool beans. As we begin our first lab, she introduces herself and tells me her name, Joanna. Since that first day, she has been extremely good to me. For example, everyone gets their own safety goggles, gown, etc for lab from the storage shelves, but she always gets my things for me. She gives me a ton of attention and is super, super nice and she’s giving a ton of vibes that she likes me, including waiting outside of class for me if she finishes her exam or quiz first, etc. We have great chemistry and are really hitting it off. She giggles and blushes like a little school girl at my lame jokes. I am like, 99.99% sure this girl is into me. Damn these manly, rugged, handsome good looks of mine always getting me in trouble.

So we had an exam this morning, she finished about 5 minutes before me and after I finish my exam, as usual she is waiting for me in the hallway like a dog waiting on its master. She drove today and kindly asked me if I wanted a ride. I snap say yes. So, we’ll in her ride and she starts talking about how her parents are going to Florida for the week and she’ll have the house to herself. I’m like, damn, this is like flopping the nuts! Full boat baby!! Ship that shit mothafker!! Eat my penis bitches!! And then she says that while she would of liked to have gone to Florida, she will instead go up north this Thursday. So okay, fine, I ask her what’s going on up north? She says that her boyfriend has a cottage up north and she’ll spend the weekend up there.

Wait, boyfriend? Come again? BOYFRIEND?!! WTF you cock tease! Gawd damn shorty, why you gotta be all nice and flirty to me and shit for the past 4 weeks and then telling me your parents are gone for the week making me think I’m gonna be riding that sweet young juicy rump of yours to kingdom come this weekend. Boyfriend WTF, boyfriend?!! R U SERIOUS? I feel like I misread the board, or my reads, or something. FML. Not sure what is going to happen from here on out, she is sending some weird mixed signals, maybe she just wants to be friends, or maybe is interested in a new BF, I dunno, I’m quite confused and I'm kinda in shock right now. I mean, I did not think she had a boyfriend the way she was treating me. I don’t think I’ll be flirting with her anymore. Yeah, I know, “there’s plenty of other fish in the sea” but I was really liking her. Plus, I was thinking that I was going to get some action this weekend, but now the only action I’ll be getting is from other micro donks like myself, super nits who always have the nuts, and Rosey Palm.

Anyways, poker wise, I’m still toiling in the micros while guys I started out with are in midstakes and higher like Exhilirate and Rockman. Another FML. Also, I just missed getting into grad school, FML again. Gonna go listen to some Interpol…..GL everyone.
