I'm taking the next two days off for life outside of poker. I really do need the break I think. I'm pretty tired after today. I got to the final table in a 66 deepstack on Absolute but couldn't take it down also ran deep in a 11r on fulltilt. I'm extremely disappointed that I couldn't win it. I was really looking forward to taking down two 11rebuys on two different sites than possibly taking the next two days off from social events and playing every $10k guarentee tournament or more to try to get that triple crown title on Pocket Fives... Oh well that time will come eventually.
You should pay attention to your credit card because I bet they do this to you also. Banks like to do random $1.00 "Fees" for no reason whatsoever. Even if they tell you that it's a card with no fees, they will find some excuse. I personally think it's along the lines of them going "Ok we need an extra 500k, go charge everyone a $1.00 fee and we're good". Most people don't notice, and if they do they don't contest it since they figure it's legit or they're too lazy to bitch over $1. I'm not too lazy and I know it's not legit, so I've sent about 5 emails to my bank in the past year, each time asking them to give me my dollar back and to stop taking it in the future. Each time they give it back, apologize and say it won't happen again. And then a few months go by and I see another fee.
So here's my latest email that I just sent:
I guess this is my monthly message that I send to you guys to tell you to stop charging me these random $1.00 fees and to return the money. See, I don t use that credit card, it's only for overdraft protection, so I kind of notice when you do this. Please stop. I think you should have to start paying me in the future everytime I have to send one of these messages cause it's starting to take up time and be insanely annoying. Normally when you ask someone to stop something, and they say they will stop, they do stop. Not sure why this is different, but if you insist on consistently doing this despite my consistent requests for you to stop, then I think I deserve to get compensated for my time.
Anyway, nice talking to you again, please give me my dollar back and stop taking my money.

Ok so my overall happie-rating is up a couple of dots since my last blog. The fact that I used the term "since my last blog" kinda bugs me, but whatever, I like to write stuff. Since last time I've actually won a bit while playing poker (good), I've had a nice work out (good) and I've found out some disturbing stuff about my winrate. According to HEM it's as follows:
2/4 (45k hands) about -4.5bb/100.
3/6 (100k hands) just over 3bb/100
5/10 (85k hands) 6.55bb/100.
WTF is up with me? Whey the fuck am I down like crazy at 2/4? Obviously I'm not always playing my A-game there and a lot of it is 9-tabling for rake races and such, but still. Really happy about the 5/10 stats though. Obviously a lot of hidden random luck but still a nice winrate, which probably speaks a bunch for how important it is to actually care about the stakes. Not even going to post my 10/20 stats cause it's such a small sample (11k hands), but yea, the trend keeps going... Guess I should stop cashing out so much and get a real bankroll together
As far as getting stronger goes I planed to bench 85*5 3 times today. Did 5, figured out that I only had 80 and got tilted. Put on another 5, waited a while and did 5 more. Figured there was no way I'd do 5*85 again so I tried 90 and did that 3 times instead. Guess that means that I could probably lift 95 or so pretty easy which means that I'll probably be as strong as I've ever been in a month or so. Thought it'd take longer but that's nice. On that note I'd be super happy if people could post whatever crap they might be eating that has a ton of protein and/or healthy stuff and not too much calories.
Well today after my first mass grinding on 1c/2c, I don't think I can build my bankroll as fast as I thought. So far, my aces and kings can't seem to hold up to hands like KJ and 98 and donkeys that bet into my trips with top pair seem to always river their way out. Got fullhouse over fullhouse. I can't seem to hit any draws while my flop betting doesn't deter the cards from making my opponents' straights or flushes. Bankroll is at half at what it was yesterday and I'm in anger mode.
I want to build a cheap (less than $600) desktop with a graphics card capable of playing the newest games and supporting 2 24" 1080p monitors. Can anyone direct me to a thread where this is discussed or offer advice/link. I have built computers before...just not in the last 5 years.

... this isn't really even a whine post (though it can easily be interpreted as one). I was @ work yesterday thinking about some poker, when it dawned on me that I seriously could not recall how it felt to win... at all. I gave it like a good 10 minutes, to no avail. I jsut can't seem to conjure up what it felt like to win, and to be a winner...
It's actually pretty frightening... especially because I am positive it affects a lot of my postflop decisions...

Incredible, I tried everything within the last few days, but I ran freaking HORRIBLE no matter what I played. SnG's, tourneys, cash game, w-ever PS jsut wont let me win. I know that the brain tends to memorize bad beats that you took more than f.ex. bad beats that you GAVE, but this is really not some skewed thinking, I am freaking running horrible and it just won't stop. Crazy, but logical, someone has to be at the low end of luck distribution.
I was gonna search a coach but as im almost busto I obv. cant afford one anymore.... to be honest my motivation is almost zero right now as well, so fuckign unfair that i just cant win anything and i am by no means a horrible player or something, i surely have my tilt/discipline issues but im SURELY +ev @ nl25 and at that SNGS and shit i played. have to rant here helps me a bit well gl at the tables guys.
I was really hoping to get some hands in this month after completing my summer courses and returning from vacation, but at this point I have given up on pokerstars. Since July, I began experiencing major lag to the point that it is impossible to play. I have emailed tech support about this multiple times and this is all I get:

So I guess I'm just screwed because calling my ISP is not going to accomplish anything. I'm pretty disappointed that my only option is to withdraw my bankroll and find another site. My stats and notes on other players really help, so now I'm back to square one.
I have considered registering an account on Full tilt, but I don't know much about it. Does anyone have any advice or opinions about Full tilt? Are there any other online poker sites worth playing on?

Well guys, after my last blog, I've pretty much completely fucked myself over. I'm back at NL2 after playing bad and imo, running worse. Mostly playing bad.
Really though, I think it's important that this happened. I would also wanna thank Fudyann for something that helped alot. I was sweating him and made a comment about a AJo hand he played where the board sort of bricked maybe 7 high, and the limper donk bet into him about 3/4 pot and he folded. I said something like "tough spot" and he was like "wtf no, not a tough spot. we dont even beat AK there" or something to that effect. Anyways, it wasn't profound or anything, it just made me sort of realize I've been effing around too much and definitely incorporating wayyyyyyyyyy too much fancy play syndrome into my play. I need to stop floating and trying to push people off pots just because they limped.. or some dumb reason like that.
I'm embarrassed to still be at NL2 after all this time, but I'm glad that people are commenting on my HH and for advice/encouragement on the site. I really think I'm this close to wrapping up my "major" leaks and will hopefully be a NL10 player soon. I don't think I'm THAT bad and it's just frustrating. It's doubly embarrassing when I see players like Lemon who moved up so quickly in the time I've pretty much been doing nothing.
Anyways, I played 1389 hands today 4 tabling and ended up losing 1.22... which imo is much better than me 80$ in the same amount of hands because I spewed horribly and ran bad. Currently about 6-7 buyins below my all in EV, but I know that luck < skill in poker and that today I played well. When I got it in I was way ahead and you can see some of those hands in my HH.
Overall I am hopeful and determined to move back up although at the same time, scared that maybe it'll never be. Guess I'll have to grind a bit more and see.
Really I think I was just playing an aggressive style and hitting cards + getting paid off.. and when cards started not hitting I kept pushing it. Clearly I need to cool it a bit.
Anyways, I hope whoever is reading this is rooting for me to be a better player through LP.
In general what do you guys think? Time to quit? Still have a chance? Did successful players ever take this long to move up? T.T... hand quantity wise I know it's not alot.. but the amount of time I spent playing these hands was pretty long since I kept taking on and off breaks from poker. I dont know. so ive tried to import my old pt2 hands to my hem database. it imports and everything. did what the site said. but when i try to go change to select a name nothing comes up. its old UB hands. dunno anyone else have this problem?
School for me is starting next Monday. This is the cause for my taking it easy and sidetracking today because come Monday I will be doing a 16 hour semester as well as having to keep up a grind for income/bills/life etc... I'm getting a breather while I can.
The title of this blogpost is because I wanted to say thanks to the both of you for having a relatively small hand (but a hand nonetheless) in two of the classes I am taking. One is a foreign language and the other is Political Science.
To get a little more in depth, since classes are starting soon the school is busy and my processing and applications etc took a bit which means the selection of classes I got to pick from was dwindled down this semester. I've always wanted to learn another language but never really had the opportunity and it wasn't ever required for me to do. Now's the chance.
As for Political Science, I am actually really wary and hesitant to take this but again since it was one of the ones open I feel now is a good time to see what it is about. I'm hoping overall it's a good experience. It was either this or a computer programming class. I'm going in with eyes open as wide open as possible and I will try my best to not make all hell break loose but no guarantees =D
This school & poker is an interesting line I am taking to say the least and I'm not sure how it will all work out. Maybe I shouldn't be thanking anyone until after the semester is over eh...

First I think a huge problem in this country is our "Representatives."
This is daily business in the Texas legislature.
I have to point out that clip ^ is Texas government which is state and local government and not federal. I think with a dab of common sense it's obvious today that states in America are far from sovereign entities and they are reliant upon the Federal Government to a pretty big degree. So at least to me it's really easy to envision something similar as this clip going on at federal level as well as no real change nor accountability within your state until some of that reliance of federal funds is decreased. I try to always keep primarily focused on deflating the need of national government to bring the powers and rights back down to the states therefor much closer to the people. It is obvious to me that government today, whether it's state or federal, looks out after it's own welfare first to continue to grow. There is absolutely no cutting back. Every taxpayer dollar spent to create a bigger government then becomes a dependability and thus for government to evolve and move forward they need that money and then more. This clip shows the rats at work doing nothing more than looking out after their "union"

So a lot has changed since i last made a post.. moved twice.. got real depressed for a few months then met and fell in love w/ a girl in miami.. been with her now about 6months, ima change my profile pic to one of her. Finally feeling good really truely happy for the first time in a long time. I think its time to finally commit and focus on poker as a job. I had a talk w/ her and i need a real job for us 2 do stuff, yes my school and all my bills and living expenses are paid for by scholarships so i dont really need one but its time.
Heres wuts happening 25hours/week starting as of this upcoming week.
I will be playing only 6max tables starting at 10NL, I tried messing around w/ FR this week 5NL 20tabling w/ very minimal wins so I decided to play 9 tables of 10NL 6max w/ about 130$ ended upabout 20$ in 45mins so decided then that i was jus gunna play 6max. The next day I had about a 6hour window so finally got my first full long session in with some pretty good results:
with these results I more than doubled my bankroll (and my confidence). So i'm quite optimistic on where I can go from this, hopefully I continue playing well and the cards keep falling in my favor, and i can work my way up the stakes.
Starting now i have $275, after donking tournaments today which made me realize I need to stop playing tourneys until I have a much larger BR cushion even though thats wut I've made the most money by far playing, I want to get poker to be a reliable income, which isn't obtainable by playing low stake tourneys. I will be open to any, and all stakes for tournaments though, I will most likely save up and buyin to wcoop event 6 the 109.
Basicly I'm at $275 playing 10NL 6max, at $600 I will take a shot at 25NL 6max then if i get down to 500 move back to 10NL 6 max since I've won at 25NL before I want to try to get there fast.
I will update my blog every week and give updates on my progress. Also expect starting next week there to be posts with marginal hands that I would love input and advice on so keep a look out for those!
