I was up +16BI and everything was going decently, was not makin tons of money or crushing the NL10 limit but I felt like I was learning lot while making profit too so its a good combination.

Yesterday, after 3 days off poker, I really wanted to put some hands in, was fresh, focused and ready to go !

-13BI in 1 session. I lost all my month profit (well almost) in 1 session.

Good point ? yes there is one, no tilt, not even affected since their was nothing I could do really.

2x nut flush beat by a boat
2x top 2 pair got river str8
3x AA didnt hold while AI PF
even have a boat beat by quads !

you know a night where nothing goes your way

I kinda rewatch my HS and I dont feel bad about it really, yea their is some spot I could have played differently but I dont think it would have change the overall outcome of the night.

Like some ppl said thats poker and every player get that kind of night one day, so their is 2 options atm

Call it quit while raging, beating my kids off and throwing my PC throw the window !!!

Or just suck it out, keep learning and grind it back...

Forgot about these 50 bucks that have been there forever... Along with 500 euros on NoIQ that i suddenly remembered this night for no reason, i was almost sleeping then it hits me: 500 euros = lot of drugs, holy shit !

As I said in my previous blog, I have switched to PLO.
I just really enjoy learning PLO, whereas NLHE has become a grind for me.

Played 25plo and moved up to 50plo.
Running good but also confident that I beat these games consistently.
(Swings can be pretty ridiculous though as you all know )

Sucks that Rushpoker has made the games harder on FTP, but hey it's good practice!

I had "1K month" in the back of my mind for the last week so it's really quite awesome that I hit my pseudogoal the last day of the month (gone for the next few days).

Hey guys. I haven't had an actual bankroll for about 4 years now. However, since I'm recently done with school and all, I decided today to start playing poker again. One thing I've noticed is thanks to mass poker training websites, the profit margin at Holdem is too small for me. Even at microstakes people won't pay you off. It's just a bunch of blind stealing and I'm pretty sure I'm outmatched at postflop play. The solution? I'm going to play RAZZ exclusively. It's a pretty simple game, and I read the Razz chapter in doyle's super system over winter break so I should be set for 4c/8c on ps. My buddy halflinggenius lent me $5 and I played a session today.

Ran massively above EV but I don't feel like I ran that amazing completely, or maybe I'm just deluded. For what it's worth I feel like this is just my EV evening out from 2009 . Either way I'm satisfied with the month, although this ends up being the worst january of my career (2008's January was +16k, 2009's January was +20k). Still though, if I can just clear 10k months consistently and hope to bink a tourney or two along the way I'd be amazingly happy and be able to hit my 200k year goal. I blame lackluster results on me spending a lot of time trying to figure out Stars' games and regs though, so hopefully I can do better in February now that I'm a lot more prepared for these games.

Haven't blogged much cause I've been too busy traveling. Stopped in Korea on the way to Thailand and had a great time with Midian and lilsusie. Also hung out with slog a bunch. Korea was awesome thanks to their company... and well, the country just pwnz.

Been in Thailand for nearly 1 week and had a pretty good time going to beaches and partying. Met up with Night2o1 and have had some good party nights. Here's a few quick pictures:

i bought a really fast pc rig with all the bells and whistles, prob is i have no idea what good games are available? i know google is my friend but i have specific taste when it comes to games and since most of you loved starcraft/diablo/cs then i feel your suggestions would be closer to what i would like to play.

i need some diablo/starcraft clones or something which is similar. i see all these titles online and tbh ive been very disappointed with every single one in the past - god why did blizzard kill my love of gaming with sc and diablo lol. thanks in advance guys

Got my 500 transfer done to full tilt, ty lachlan.

Got home today from work, smoked a J and played some 25PLO RUSH POKAHHH

My plan is to put another 1k on FT soon but ill see how I do with this 500. For now I plan is to grind 25k hands at 25PLO/NL before I move back to 50NL. I really think this 25PLO is amazing, its a fish fest. I figured if i just played solid fundamental omaha I could kill this game. Wow did this plan start great. PLayed 1200 hands today rush PLO ended +183, 7.5 buyins. Obviously I ran hot as hell and it felt fukin great. I crushed everyone. I dont have HEM For PLO so i have no idea what the numbers were. I can however provide the second best thing to a graph. A description of a graph. OK so if you imagine a graph thats going up at a very steep rate, thats my shit.

After moving down to 50nl yesterday, I´m running 14bi below EV over 10k hands. Not meant to be a whine post, and I actually feel pretty good regardless of results, cause I feel I´m playing my A game. Not much I can do besides grinding it out. I have been playing a little tighter 19/15/3.5 with 27%wtsd and only 45%wsd.

Well it started bad and ended bad, but was somewhat good.

I endeavoured to chase SNE for the first weeks, but have since burnt out. It was pretty much physically impossible to do while working.

However, it did motivate me to clock a lot of hands.

It was the most hands I've ever played in a month, all sessions were mostly 20+ tables. Subsequently my winrate was scraping the barrel at 1ptbb, however you still seem to make decent money ($700 per day) when you take into the sheer amount of hands and rakeback.

look at the stupid shit I do, lately i've been losing atleast 1 BI every session by doing stuff like this. idk what im thinking at the time, when the hand's over I know how bad i played it, i know all of my mistakes, but i just keep making plays like this over and over my winrate would double if I could just control myself

Was okay, woke up late. Got visited by an old friend randomly, didn't expect him at all. We got some indian food and had a good chat. He's visitng some other guy in SF and will be staying at my place I think.

Summary:

Was 4 tabling today. Everytime I had a draw or a set, the exact opposite of what I wanted to happen, happen. Flush when I need straight, straight when I need flush, etc. Also I laid down several hands where the villian was obviously holding a naked flush draw because of the river flush card. Hand histories above should also make it clear how people were hitting their hands against me. Last 100 hands I hit the two JJ sets I posted above and they helped push me back over the breakeven line into profit line.

All in all, I think I persevered okay through the bad parts.

started the day off -133 USD on NL50 becuz of damn HUD (and well me spewing which i wouldn't have done if i didn't get on tilt cuz of the PT3 HUD not working properly) but ne wayz resumed another session at night and won 20 bux after going on downswing after being doomswitched on few KK, AA BUT everything worked out fine becuz someone hit the bad beat jackpot on the stakes that i was playing! which means i gained back everything i lost today plus extra 400 whoooo what a day xD
