My game is fckn amazing. I play my best for some time and then I do a Bye-Bye-50$-Idiotic-Move. I know I should fold, but no - I raise. Fuck!
I played a tourney also ($10+$1 freezout), of course won nothing, loosing all chips on a very stupid play (normal).

Hands: 1,243
Balance: -$53.75
Total hands: 5,896
Total balance: +$10.20

veryvery first entry by redrain0125, January 20

hi i play 0.01/0.02 stakes on pstars. I started out about a month ago with a small BR my friend gave me. I worked steadily to $130 while having hit a few brick walls.

reason im blogging right now is to blow off some steam (i seldom blog). Todays session was the worst FUCKING DAY imaginable. im sure when u played micro stakes uve noticed how incredibly NITTY AND RETARDED THOSE GODDAMN DONKEYS ARE SITTING WITH THEIR $1 STACK. SO YEAH I HAD NO ACTION FOR AN HOUR AND HALF AND ENDED $1 DOWN GG. LAST HAND: AA 12xBB RAISE PREFLOP I GET MANY CALLERS I WAS LIKE WTF AND THIS IDIOT WITH 7d4d RERAISES, SONOFABITCH DONK. FLOP IS A DRAWY ONE SO I BET AND GET RERAISED AND NEXT THING I KNOW THERE IS A HUGE RERAISE WAR ENDING WITH ALLINS. I FOLDED AT FLOP FORTUNATELY. I HAD ENOUGH OF THIS I AM MOVING ONTO 10NL OR SOMETHING JESUS CHRIST

Starting Over Again by iD.iNsky, January 20

I did last night what I have done about 8 times now. Come home completly black out drunk only to find out the next morning that I decided to play a little poker that night. Looking in my Cashier I found that once again I took my 50NL roll and was left with 100$(playing high limit of course). So I decided to make this for myself to see if I can grind it up once again(maybe this will keep me more focused to stop playing drunk). Anyways I am going to play .02/.05 for awhile, did one session today and ill probley to another later

moved up to NL200 by Joe, January 20

ok yesterday i finally reached the BR i wanted to have to move up to NL200 (for the 2nd time) and so i played some NL200 today.

the session started off bad when i lost vs some sick maniac crazy tardo guy who minreraised my pf raise with T2o, i had AKo. i flopped a pair of Aces and he flopped a pair of deuces. i called his flop bet and raised his turn bet, but he called unimproved anyway and spiked another deuce on the river to stack me. i managed to steal some money back and then i also won a buyin with top two pair vs pure bluff.

it was kinda short session, only like 1 and half an hour of playing 4 tables and i ended slightly up, like $80 (3.8 ptbb/100). anyway i am quite satisfied with my play so i hope i will keep doing ok.

as for the difference between NL100 and NL200 - it seems to be pretty simmilar, but i noticed the games were slightly more aggressive on average than NL100 games.

Live tourney
i also played a small live tourney today in a poker club. the buyin was only $15+$3 and there were only 19 players, so really just a small tourney for fun. i played pretty solid imo, i managed to keep gathering chips without showdowns continously. i was the biggest stack at the table for quite some time, but then this hand came: i was dealt AQ in bb. two guys limped and i raised 6bb. i had quite a lag image at that time so one of those guys decided to move in probably hoping i was just trying to steal it. i snap called and he showed ATo. i am sure u guessed it, the river spiked a Ten, crippling me to only like 900 in chips (2nd shortest at the table). i then managed to gather up some more, to like 1700, but the blinds kept increasing and it was now 100/200. then came my final hand: a guy (fishy) minraised preflop and was called behind. i was there on the big blind with ATo and instapushed. the original raiser snap called and showed KQo. of course, the turn was a Queen and i was out. omg donkaments.

thats it for today. i dont know if i will find some time to play tommorow since i have (school) exams on monday and i havent learned for it yet (pretty standard for me).

Played like a tardo late yesterday at 25/50 headsup
tilted some and lost about 20k to Mjorgenson13, who i've been told is westmenloAA on stars, he seemed to play pretty decent, although it is hard for me to judge my skill relative to his.
(the first 10k from losing some coinflips and being a tardo, and the last 10k from tilting like a tardo)

i think im going to drop down and only concentrate on 10/20 and 5/10 for awhile again, hopefully i'll be able to motivate myself to play

and btw, tardo is the word of the day

Boooo.....100NL by TimDawg, January 20

Just dropped down after having another -800 session last night. Lost 2 buyins to a couple of coolers and then tilted a little bit. I don't know what's wrong, but it seems like i'm just destined to lose in every session.

But anyway, I think I should be able to crush 100NL playing very LAG, because on Stars there's nothing but weak/tights.

Some hands from the 200NL session last night:

Played a couple hundred hands at 100NL this morning too, and ended up quitting after losing these two hands:

small analysis of NL10 by PetrBlaha, January 20

Proper topic : Day4

After previous "not so gooood" day I wanted to challenge all those stupid shortstacks and donks that play there (well, I'm probably on of those donks, but at least I try .

I started playing usual 8 tables of nl10 but soon I had to discover that today won't be easy day as featured in this hand (note that I've lost nearly all today's KK, vs AQ, AAs etc, everytime A came..)

I told to myself (after reaching 88$) how GREAT I'm to be after 3 days again on my start. So I've changed my style a bit and managed to dodge some serious beating (like folding KK(AGAIN !!) vs set or 222 vs straight).

Very happy that I could dodge so many "problems" I started to play so much better and about 800 hands I've gain nearly 4 buyins. I think I will play more today ... I must try all those new stuff I've learned today

After this session I feel that I've learned 50% of things that I do now know. Today was excelent day not only for my BR but also for my psychic, skill and my self-confidence.

I've understood that sometimes laying down "big mommas" AA,KK or QQ can really help you, even if I wasnt sure 100% that I'm beat there I've realized that there will be 53289048320982 situations where I will use those cards better than I could in those situations.

20 january 07
BR : 120$ (+23$)
stakes : 0.05/0.10 $

edit:

Well, as I said earlier, I went to play for a bit while (about 800 hands). I must say that I was right when I was talking how "big lesson" this day was. Eventhough I've came across some shitty stuff I've managed to play well (in a ways that 4 days can be )so...

20 january 07 (evening)
BR : 141$ (+44$)
stakes : 0.05/0.10 $

omaha hi/low by DustySwedeDude, January 20

so I played some PL25 omaha hi/low on party. I barly know the rules but I made like 3 buyins in 90 minutes or so. God they sucked. It's a pity that there aren't many PL50 games on party cause I feel that the general skill level in omaha is much lower then in texas hold'em. Also, I've won back almost everything I lost during my little downswing. Dusty is back!

edit: I can't spell.

lol nits by SakiSaki, January 20

After cashing out and proceeding to suck at poker I have been toying around a little in the lower limits (50nl, 100nl). Playing there I have had the pleasure of playing some lpers. I just realized lp is full of damn nits! Jesus christ!

Ok, you dont want to get fancy and you dont want to play LAG at these stakes. But 12/8/3 is NOT solid 6-max stats. FFS you guys seriously need to loosen up a bit. It will make the transition to higher stakes much smoother and you are loosing so much value by nitting it up.

Playing these stakes also made me realize why i can crush 100nl so easy and still have problem with 200nl and 400nl. Playing 25/23/7~ works sooo good on 100nl just because players are so weak and nitty. On 200nl there are so many more loose passive type of players making a 7 agression factor a spew, so Im working on lowering my agression where there is no FE.

Once again, just a friendly advice to you nitty low/midstakes players. Loosen up a bit! Dont go nuts just raise liberal in position and stab at a few more pots and you will see your winrate skyrocket.

On another note. I havent shaved in like 2 weeks and DAMN im so ugly having what little beard i get. I look like a 14year old with attitude problems. I would put up a picture but Im quite sure none of you would ever talk to me again after that so I wont.

Last couple of days by bigbb33, January 20

Played maybe an hour or two a day, 3 tables 25 NL 6-max at PS.

I did really well these days, partially because I'm running well (sucked out a bit), but I feel I'm improving a lot too.

My bankroll is now $1038, so it's nice to be back above the 1k level. I could take a shot at 50 NL, but I'm going to iron out a lot of my holes at 25 NL first.

My graph for the past few days, in the box:

January 19, 2007 by EnorD, January 20

Ok, so here's what happened last night. Because I did not have class today, I decided to stay up all night and play poker.

bad idea.

My total bankroll dropped down to around 20-30 dollars (from 72, or whatever it was) before I stopped playing. I was so tired near the end of this session that I was falling asleep during the tournament, causing me to miss hands/ect. I also suffered some rough beats (proof is my thread which now lives within the closed forum) as well that certaintly did not help.

Anyway, so I went to sleep around 10:00am. Woke up at 3:00pm on the dot and opened up two more tournaments. And then the craziest thing happened - I started winning again... a lot. I can almost feel myself getting better with every session. And boy, does it feel nice.

My Stats for the Day:
Starting Bankroll : $?? (I was tired and miscounted somewhere)
Tournaments Played: 32
Tournaments Cashed: 13
Net Profit/Loss : ??
Ending Bankroll : $136.37

I also broke my goal of reaching 800 FPP. I was going to get the book about bluffs, but now I have decided to wait for 1500 and get 'Ace on the River'. Unless, of course, someone can recommend me another good book that I can purchase now?

Oh, and be sure not to miss my poop thread.
