| | Its been awhile by veryGUd, June 30
Hello all.
Been awhile since my last entry. Right now I am again at 25 nl after my sad sad run in June. Hopefully July will treat me better. I've only played approxmiatly 7k hands so i'm not really putting in the work. I think i'm on a 600 dollar downswing or so. I'm getting lessons with NOLAN every week now so hopefully i can be moving up soon.

| | Punished... by spets1, June 30
by the poker Gods.
I didnt keep the promise of not playing till 28th, and have been punished severely.
Unknown forces made me donk off my money randomly.
Horrible, horrible plays such as these.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221060 - who is spets2? biggest donk on the planet thats who...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221151 - retard, retard, retard
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221159 - DONKING MONEY LEFT AND RIGHT. The dude's call is questionable also, i guess he had heaps of outs... if he was behind...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221061 - yeah go broke with one pair... fucking idiot.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221154 - (villain 21/10/2.5) well this one isnt so bad... i think but i might be wrong, not many things i can put him on re-rasing me, that i beat.
I guess AJ is kinda possible. Maybe a draw, but anyone with a draw would flat my re-raise. Comments on this appreciated
http://spets1.googlepages.com/June07.JPG
As you can see I have also played a little NL10 with experimental looooooseness, didnt go too bad. Maybe i should do that more, to practice my postflop play.
July here I come.

| | NL50 running good by NeillyJQ, June 29
So I decided to stop screwing around on the microstakes and start playing my best in some tougher games (NL50).
Today went way better than I could have ever expected. At the beginning of the day I dropped 4 buy-ins with some coolers and some careless mistakes, I then took a few minutes off to regroup and opened the tables back up.
After restarting my session I started running great and playing my best. Before I knew it, I had won 12 buy-ins on NL50, one of the best days I've had in the last 3 weeks. I started making a few careless mistakes at the end of the session so I called it quits after dropping a couple pots I could have avoided.
Here are my stats from todays session on NL50;
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 3589 hands and saw flop:
- 235 out of 481 times while in big blind (48%)
- 153 out of 484 times while in small blind (31%)
- 384 out of 2624 times in other positions (14%)
- a total of 772 out of 3589 (21%)
Pots won at showdown - 93 of 174 (53%)
Pots won without showdown - 481
I'm gonna get stoned as hell n watch some high stakes poker for the next couple hours. I'll post some good hand analysis soon!
I still need to make over 4,000 FPP tomorrow to maintain platinumstar, so look for a ton of hands from me~
PS - 26,625 FPP til Supernova!
GL everyone!

| | Ending a session short by Critterer, June 29
I really hate to have to do it, i wanted to play 1k hands but after just over 600 i feel on tilt so im ending it to cut my losses.
Every fucking time the short stack wins. I've gotta start treating them with respect, but then how the fuck am i supposed to when they push when miles behind. Idk maybe im running bad, maybe im playing bad, probably both.
I think im going to start treating short stacks with more respect though i feel its a leak in my game.
Finished on $425 today. gg
I'm comfortable at nl25 though, and my BR would be bigger if it wasnt for my earlier cashout, maybe its the curse of the cashout thats making me run quite poorly.
I dont even want to start thinking about going back to nl10, but if my BR drops to $200 i will move down, i feel comfortable playing nl25 with 10-15 buyins and i feel i have enough discipline to move down to nl10 if i do infact drop to 10 buyins for nl25.
Hopefully wont come to that~
Gl all~
edit- wtf is wrong with me? im down less than 2 buyins total since restarting Nl25 and im crying like a little bitch. someone shoot me.

| | Another day in hell by Peligroso, June 29
Seriously... What the fuck is going on?
I did as I said before and went back to play some more hands. Played another 900 hands so a total of 1550 hands today. Todays' result? Another nightmare, -$200. 8 fucking buyins.
I really don't get it, so I started thinking, what's actually going wrong here? I looked a bit in pokertracker and found out that in the last few days (since I started blogging here), I've only won 6 pots over $20 and lost 14. In todays' session I won 3 and lost 9...
The 3 I won (listed in order of pot size):
AA vs KJ
JJ vs 66
AQ vs A8
The 9 I lost (listed in order of pot size):
AK vs AA
AK vs A2
JJ vs K9
QJ vs Q9
88 vs KK
KJ vs A2
AK vs 53
KK vs 88
A6 vs Q7
So I started out as favourite in all except 3 hands of the above. This is obviously a bad sign and a very important issue. What is it that I do that makes me lose the big pots but not able to win them? I win tons and tons of small pots (well at least I have 40+ W$WSF) but not the ones that really makes a difference.
I'm getting the feeling that it's not just bad luck anymore, cause this has been my biggest poker problem for ages and it's nowhere near evening out, if anything it's getting worse.
Anyway, some more hands:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221032
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221001
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221028
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/221040
I'll admit that I'm not proud at all of my play this session because while I do know that it's bad as a poker player to be weak and get tilted, this is definitely starting to get on my nerves very badly and I'm affraid it makes me a worse poker player. However, the main problem about big pots still remains because I have that problem when I'm playing "good" as well.
Suggestions?
BR down at $644. Need to win $256 and, more importantly, learn how to play before I get to move up to NL50 :/

| | May Stats at 100NL by mrpav.com, June 29
Hi everyone, just posting my stats for May at 100NL. Not too bad i think, plus it gave me enough bankrole to play at 200NL now so i'm pleased. For some reason, not to be cocky, but 200NL seems a little easier to me than 100NL. Like a lot of the times in 100NL people use to call preflop with hands i couldn't put them on like K4 and J5 and shit like that. At 200NL they dont seem to be doing that, so a little less stress =) Plus, yesturday, we went to the grocery store and some idiot hit our car while we were shopping and drove off. We just got a new car like a month ago and no one wants to see that. Anywho, going to go watch the new Die Hard in the theatre in an hour with my brother, so i hope its good, because the trailers looked amazing!

| | Vegas next week yo by egood, June 29
So still been doing well with pokerz, NL 25 is easy compared to NL 10 imo. Heres a graph
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v670/krzxalien/shipit.jpg
UB is soft as hell. Hopefully 50nl is as easy as 25nl.
Flying out to vegas on sunday and staying for a week. I'll be staying at bally's and hope to play some 1/2 and 2/5 at MGM as well as 1/3 at the wynn. Maybe some 2/5 at bally's if they have some games running. Gonna be hanging out with n0rthf4ce, grass.ns) and some other friends that are going as well. Gonna watch some of them play in the WSOP also, should be a sweet week.

| | HU is sick by SneakrFreakr, June 29
So today in the morning I had spare 50 minutes so I decided to open two nl100 HU tables. The session was pretty sick and I won like 7 buyins in 350 hands or so (most of it from one guy who I played 2 tables against). I made some good plays and good calls and ran good too obviously. Then in the evening I played for like 2 more hours and had 2 ultra donks on both of my tables but ran terribly and dropped a lot due to constant 2-5 outers or setups. But I managed to win everything back and even finish the evening session being up over a buyin. Here's the graph for today (nl100 HU only):
http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/205/huhuhy9.jpg
I also played some nl200 6max for the past 3 days. On Wednesday I ran very hot at the beginning of the session, got some coolers and beats in the end but still won like 4 buyins. Yesterday I dropped like 3 buyins pretty quickly but managed to win back a bit and finished down only $300. Here are my stats:
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3972/nl2xj0.jpg
I finally loosened up a bit and I'm not the biggest nit at my stakes anymore which is good. I feel very comfortable playing nl200 now (both in terms of money and skills) and my bankroll is now at 9,1k or so (plus I'm gonna get some rakeback on 5th July). I'm not even thinking about nl400 now. I want to get a healthy bankroll (14k at least I think) and get more experience at nl200. I think I'll spend at least the whole July at nl200 but we'll see how it goes. I'm also gonna try to play HU a bit more regularly.
I'd post hand histories from my HU session as quite a few of them are interesting but I don't have much time left. Today it's my name day (don't think people in other countries celebrate it) so I'm going out with my friends. Most of them also got their final exams results today (two of my best friends got into the medical school) so there are plenty of reasons to celebrate. I'm afraid I'll get totally pissed and spend too much money but whatever. Holla

| | LOL back to NL25! by Oddeye, June 29
WTF seriously, this is worst than I could ever have imagined it. I got sucked out 3 times, I guess I played this bad or something... lost AK vs JJ, AK with 2 pair vs AT that made flush on river(on 3 bet pot), AJ vs A5 where he made lucky straight... oh well, variance eh? lol

| | 2 bad sessions by Peligroso, June 29
2 bad sessions
Well, I've been playing some more NL25 yesterday and today. Going to be pretty short here, but yesterdays' 800 hand session ended at -$4 (though I also spent $21 in tourney fee) and so far today after 650 hands I'm -$28. I did however get my $50 deposit bonus so if I cheat a little I could say that I'm nearly +/- 0.
I recieved some feedback from a good friend of mine (an excellent poker player) and am currently taking it in and I'll probably try to play some more hands a bit later today. I think that my stats are shaping up a bit and heading to about where you want them to be at least, currently at 20(23)/15/3. However, my W$SD is still crap (40), which is about same as my W$WSF.
Some lovely hands from yesterday and today:

| | VEGAS!!!!!!!! by MezmerizePLZ, June 29
so alex and i started our 11 hour drive toward vegas.. he hadn't slept at all since 5pm ( it was now 5am) and i had only slept 1.5 hours (i woke up at 12pm).. he started out driving, and i drove the mid-part of the 11 hour trip, getting up to 150 MPH. We finally reached vegas after awhile even tho the drive wasn't nearly as bad as you'd think since we both stayed awake the whole time... we met up with Milkman and Action DJ and got us checked into our room at the Rio.
The room isn't bad, 2 beds and a couche with internet and a ncie bathroom/shower n stuffs. we brought like guitar hero and some trash bags full of clothes b/c i had no time to go buy suitcases and milkman made fun of us cuz hes a hooker...
we went and railed action DJ and rainkhan for a bit in the 5k NLHE 6 max event. both seemed to be doing OK. The break started and DJ had a shorter stack with like 15kish>? and rain had about 47k (avg. 40kish).. not sure what the blinds where but we met up with a whole bunch of LPers and went out to dinner ( me alex and milk had already eaten like steka ad chicke).. we went to 'Gaylord' restaurant which was indian food and rainkhanwashedhis hands with drinking water lol.. I got to meet tons of cool people and everyone seemed chill. Daut, TJBentham, rikd, actiondj, rainkhan, pmilanov, lyric, mangod, ket, beast, some one named luke forgive me if i left someone out i've been up for forever....
they all played creditcard roulette and TJ lost, owned. We went and chilled back in the hotel room for a bit and then actionDJ came up and told he busted (JJ vs AQ AI PF). wehung out for awhile debating what to do and had some alc. and then went to see if rian wawes still in but he had busted and i think i saw TJbentham leaving also (assuming busted).. we called up cosmo and went over to actiondj's place, stareted making small bets on who can drink beer faster etc. eventually ti escalleded prettybad and cosmo + sakisaki + foxfox1 + iamalex + me + actoindj were all there, DF_Newb was sleeping bc he was sick. we made alot of small prop bets (eg. who can do more pushups/drink beer faster etc.)
we then went out to the 'jacuzzi' but it seemed pretty lame and then security told us we coudlh't have alc. in the pool or whatever so we went back up to the room and played blinds man bluff (holdme w/o seeing ur whole card sbut seeing all opponents).. i ended up taking it down for $35 and winning about $55 (maybe more idk) in prop bets. I am also taking 40% o factiondj in the 2k even tomorrow and 60% of jonnycosmo. gl to both cyas

| | NL25 & NL50 by NeillyJQ, June 29
Today started off really slow on NL25, and went down -3BI due to variance, losing with cowboys vs jacks n so on for stacks..after a while I heated up and made back what I lost. During the session all I could think about was moving up and getting into some real games, so after I went up a couple BI's on NL25 I moved up to NL50 to see how I'd fair.
It's been over a month since I've played on these stakes, but I felt more comfortable than ever. My game is perfect for the NL50 dynamic and I definately get paid alot more there. I'm going to play NL10 & NL25 mostly, as I only have 20 buy-ins for NL50 which takes away from the comfort level. I'm definately going to take shots at the end of winning sessions on NL50 though, and hopefully be full-time there soon.
Heres todays stats;
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 2887 hands and saw flop:
- 225 out of 400 times while in big blind (56%)
- 126 out of 390 times while in small blind (32%)
- 363 out of 2097 times in other positions (17%)
- a total of 714 out of 2887 (24%)
Pots won at showdown - 92 of 160 (57%)
Pots won without showdown - 354
I'm going to go over a few key hands then go play some starcraft and relax, I'm only going to post large pots for now on, the smaller ones are pretty much never worth posting.
vs ekfrl - Open my AQ in MP behind the UTG limper, pretty standard. I was cont betting 3.5 into pretty much every pot I played, whether I was shutting down on the turn or continuing was up to what I had and my opponents holdings. He bought into my flop bet, and well... I just couldn't see him playing a set like this. Stacks went in and I took down a nice pot.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220624
vs redfall - I really don't know what this guy was thinking. Pretty obvious on the flop he has nothing, just flat and let him hang himself.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220622
vs FrankieF4F - Frankie had beaten me in 3 consecutive pots we had played together. I'm pretty sure he thought I was reraising him light out of frustration. I got a nice flop & stacks went in.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220615
vs Trigger1985 - Unfortunately I just lost a big pot on this table taking my stack from 80~35. Didn't reload, shit! Flopped a dream flop from the bb and semi-trapped trigger. My line screams set, can't believe he couldn't let it go. Oh well, guess he thought I was tilting from the pot before.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220608
vs Sir Poko - This was definately my worst spew of the day. I don't know what the heck I was thinking, but the only hands I beat is KT/KJ. Psh...I'm going to do my best to never spew like this again.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220606
vs Flugihempi - Man this guy sucks. He beat me in a 70/30 flip and a 54/46 flip...what a dick.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220605
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220600
vs JamesMax - Opened my QQ in MP and got a couple callers, along with an optimal flop. A couple open enders with a top pair lower than my QQ. I put out an overpriced bet for draws to draw to, and picked up a caller. At this point I'm putting him on a jack or something like QKs. I make him pay and he does just that.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220603
vs Steev1988 - sb vs bb - I didn't think he would be reraising me this light with my raising out of the sb behind a limper in MP. But oh well I was mistaken. I repopped and got value PF, but was scared to bet down since AK shrivels up on a 3across face card board. Was check calling just about any bet though.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220602
vs Super020 - Not really sure what this guy was thinking. I put him on a strong draw, maybe a completed flush. At this point vs his stack after the bets were made I wasn't going to fold so I just shipped it. Was happy he turned this hand over and not QK. I don't really like this play in the long run.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220599
vs Elbocanegra - OMG. OMG. OMG. WHAT THE FUCK. THIS SHIT?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220598
vs Pityu85 - Good opportunity to bluff this river and pick up the pot. Put the villian on something like 9T, QJ or something like that. The river was perfect.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220594
vs Pokerpimus - This hand was nice, was pretty sold he was on a weak king til river. I think if he is on a king on this river a good C/R AI might be a strong play, what do you guys think?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220591
Well thats all I'm going to post today,
I'm going to have to make like 5k FPP in the next couple days if I want to maintain my platinumstar into the next month. Took a long time off this month and spent so much time on microstakes...kinda hurt me. Think I'm gonna enjoy a nice pipe & some starcraft for now. Worry about that later.
GL to all of LP,
Ryan (DReaMe)
PS - 27,710 FPP til SuperNovA!

| | Back to NL50! by Oddeye, June 28
I did get sucked out horribly this morning, but I kept playing my best game without too much stress and it went well. If you have any tips for NL50 or anything feel free to post. All I need is to keep the mind calm and ready. Also I try to play much shorter session, 2hrs is now my maximum and I stop no matter what, well that it, Peace&HF! I'll try to keep this blog updated a bit.

| | Undoing mistakes by T8Suited, June 28
After the debacle on Friday I was able to settle down and turn in a few decent sessions. I made ~2 BI each on Sunday night and Monday afternoon, broke even on Tuesday afternoon, won big (6.5 BI over 2.5k hands) on Wednesday evening, and won a bit more than 1 BI in 1-hour session on Thursday.
Obviously I tightened up my play, especially vs regulars, and it didn't take me long to realize that straightforward poker at this level = $$$. Why I can't keep this point in mind all the time, I really don't know.
Sunday evening hands:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218604
KK, overpair all the way to the river. I played this feebly, even though I induced and picked off a huge river bluff.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218605
88, flopped set, against opponent who stuck around with 66, picked up a straight draw on the turn and went broke.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218606
Aces-up against TP on a somewhat gross board. It held up. Good for me.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218607
A preflop limp-reraise with JJ worked out fine. A shortie went broke with his 99 on the 7-high board.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218608
QQ. Wierd line by opponent. Not well played by me either, but at the end I picked off another sizable bluff.
Monday hands:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220310
Early on, a questionable preflop call led to a turned flush with suited crap. Opponent turn a worthless TP plus the dangerous Ac, but decided to call a big bet after not improving on the river. I didn't mind that at all.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220312
Bluffing flop with possibly no outs, but my opponent believed I turn the flush -- at least that's what I thought.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220315
77 was dynamite for me on this day. I barely had odds to set hunt after I was reraised preflop, but I got my set and doubled up.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220322
Another set with 77. I think this was well played.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220332
AsAc, lost race. Ironlaw likes to play his draw aggressively. As long as I saw the flop I rued that I made a relatively weak preflop reraise.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220334
AK vs AQ preflop all-in
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/220335
Playing TP for stacks. If opponent had a set he could have easily raised my feeble bet on that drawy flop. So I stuck with my read and prevailed.
More hands later......

| | June results by Sheitan, June 28
I went to the conclusion i fucking HATE FR, it's sooo boring, basically you wait for the nuts then try to trap a fish, repeat all day long, you don't even have to think at NL10. It's pure grinding, it's as painful as a shitty job like flippin burgers at Mc donalds. The real fun my friends is at 6 max ! I was so bored i thought fuck that let's try sum 6 max and throw in like 10k hands.
It was a blast, i think i'll never go back to FR, since im moving in 2 days my month stops now so here's the graph:
http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/647/junegraphuj1.jpg
I'm definitly a 6 max player, im well rolled for NL25 so i plan to grind this level till i hit 1.5k or 2k BR then move to the next one and see what happens. I heard NL50 is rigged at Pokerstars, plus i hate to see how much rakeback i lose playing there, makes me sick to my stomach when i see PTracker and it says i could have won like 200-300$ just in rakeback. Im a greedy sob so i'll prolly switch to an other site when i can move to NL50 and get an awesome rakeback + bonus.
I'll look to sign up through lp.net since i think i owe this site a shit load of free knowledge and would like to contribute as much as i can.
Ptracker stats:
http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/6203/juneyz8.jpg
Besides poker we move to the new house this saturday and since im a lazy bastard, i paid a company to bring my shit over there. So no more Intarwebz and no more Poker for the next 3 days at least, badbeat. Now new house has a nice swimming pool and i will prolly BBQ like crazy in the next days, heater.
Im very surprised by the results of lp.net members at Wsop, i mean wow just amazing. We got some very talented players around here and i can't believe they share their knowledge with us, thanks guy and i hope u guys keep crushing the wsop this year. Speciale cassededi a Cuts, j'espere que tu vas remporter un bracelet cette annee vieux.
Cheers.
P.S: ROFL second one is gold haha http://www.filecabi.net/video/PrairieDogCurses.html
