Like few weeks ago i cashed out quite a lot from my br leaving enough money playing for 200nl, today i hit the 14$K br again and i am lost should i give another try to 400nl or not. I have tried to move up to 400nl 3-4 times, non of these tries were successful, the last try was decent, i was break even after 10K$ hands, but i thought this isn't profitable to play 400nl if you can't be winning.
Today is friday, so the traffic should go up in the evening, and i think i might give another shot to 400nl, but right now i am lost and i don't really know what i want from poker and on which stakes i want to/able to grind.

Hi again. I've finally decided to blog my poker sessions just to see how I faired from a different perspective. I know a lot of below average players like me have a difficult time reading all the $$$$$ the good players make in one session (I know I have) well sometimes is inspires but most of the time it's really just depressing lol. I've started my session 8 tabling at that rigged FTP site and so far things were ok. I implemented the changes needed to see whether being spewy made a difference in terms of winrate. I really wanted a 22 18 type of stat in my tracker but it's really hard at these limits because preflop it's way too cheap to fold and one more card isn't that much of a big deal. Won like 3bi today and i hope i can maintain a higher or just average winrate at a consistent level. Here's one of those bad beats for the day.

hello fellow LPers
Its been a while so let me update you on my poker life.

Been grinding it out at 25 nl for the last month or so. Haven't been running great but still up for the month. I think my lessons with NOLAN are helping me out and i'm trying to put in 1000 hands a day now.

50 away from 1500 so hopefully i can take a shot at 50 nl soon.

Went to wild water kindgom last week. It was a little too cold and my Amanda pie got sick and lost her voice. All in all i'm getting closer to my 20k goal. I'm still doing some stupid plays and calls, which i'm being aware that i'm doing, and really sitting down everyday and evaluating them. I'm still doing some pretty retarted plays, but less than i use to, but that doesn't matter, i rather have zero stupid plays than a few. One example is http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/234482 . so i rise and shine around 11:30 am. make my way to the bathroom to handle the hygiene when i here a knock at the door. im in basketball shorts at this time. i go into my room and grab a shirt. i go to open the door, but i got one problem. a raging morning stiffy. i hang the shirt over it and lift my leg up and place it against the wall and immediatly grab the thing to sign for it and pretend i lifted my leg to use as support to write on. he looks at me for about 2 seconds then turns around, probably trying not to laugh. i give it back to him and he heads out and im just sitting there thinking.

next time should i just say fuck it and not hide the beauty of the stiff one eyed gofer?

anyway, intresting start to the morning. i think imma start taking some shots. cheers.

So yesterday I was being metal... wtf I am every day.
Been waiting it for a long time, about 16 years passed since such a great band was here in Moscow last time.
The whole thing started with some crappy emo donks like HIM and prolly somebody else which made no sense at all, while we were only coming to the greatest part of a show to see the metal legends themselves.

Commentary:

Loss of focus (KQo) cost me $30+ today. And one very questionable play (AKo) cost me another $25. These were both situations where I could have just flatted the river, but instead I pushed.

With more than half of the month behind me, I'm down $32.50. I'm hovering right at the 20BI mark for 50NL, but I still feel like I have a strong hold on what's going on at the tables. I'll continue 9-tabling 50NL, and re-evaluate my position at the end of the month.

I made a couple pretty good moves against known players, but my sloppy fucking retarded-as-shit hands pretty much negated them. Having one of these per session is not acceptable, and unless I can fix it, I'm definitely going to need to decrease my tables.

Please berate me.

The following pictures require a bit off back story to comprehend. Me cosmo, derric, milkman, clay, alex, myth, echo, lyric and mango are hanging out at lyrics house playing beer pong. Milkman was pretty drunk when we got there and he wasnt improving as the night went on. In one particular game, he had one cup left against Myth and echo(correct me if im wrong here) while Mecho had 5. He bet them that if he won they would dress up in bikinis and jump in the pool, if they won he would do the same. A couple of seconds after the deal is set in stone Milkman drunkenly drops the ball in his own cup. DOH!

Being a man off his word, Chris humbly and drunkenly slowly dressed up in one of mangos bikinis.

Heres from one of the last nights when we got a vip table at Tryst, a nightclub at the wynn. Definitely the most baller nightclub ive ever been to, it was sick nice. They even had a fucking waterfall inside the club (which im pretty sure cosmo has like 500 pictures of). Anyways, it was a really fun and extremely baller night.

I have saved the best one for last. Me and cosmo are walking through the Bellagio when suddenly cosmo pokes at me looking really exited. He points at the nearest craps table whispering "TJ cloutier playing craps!" I look over and instantly byrnesams picture of TJ playing craps nude pops into my head and I realize, I fucking need a picture of this! Unfortunately taking pictures in the casino is forbidden. But I dont care, I NEED THIS PICTURE! I stand back a bit, take up my camera and start fiddling with the settings trying to turn of the flash. Being really excited I just cant remember how to turn it off. Getting eyeballed by some casino employees theres strong tension in the air. I decide its now or never, flash or no flash. I take position, slowly and gently squeeze the trigger and WHAM! Half the casino gets lit up by my flash, I swiftly turn around and walk really fast towards the exit, disappering in the crowd with my priced photo. VICTORY!

Basically i'm up 2400 in two nights of live 1/2. The play is horrendous and I chopped a tournament with a guy for ~500 profit. Live poker is so bad, I cannot even wait for Vegas 2/5.

So i thought i was beginning to play solid and all and that this was the start of a better poker life for me - not true.
Lost about 2/3 of my bankroll now moving down to 25nl again!
It's really sad and depressing how confused I am and how all the good that happened makes me think that I really got lucky last month and that poker is about luck really. I know for a fact that poker is more of a skill game of course but sometimes the psychology of the whole scene brings my demons of old back to haunt me. A good friend of mine has had good success, albeit he plays NOT on FTP(which is really the wisest choice hes made). I wish him all the luck and I wont stop trying to play online, just sux how im back to 25nl hell again. gtg
