your not raising enough hands preflop, start doing so.. it takes focus so close msn and all the random shit u run at the same time and just focus on poker
try to get your attempt to steal % upto like 40 which means really focus on abusing the SB/BB nits, people are really tight from here

i would shove river for value most of the time but the call call bet line is typically strong and sometimes a weak queen.. depends which side u think he's on, there is a backdoor flush so i guess u could put him on like JTh, KTh or something... and call
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/234849
u dont have to bet as much on the turn, 15-16 is ok but he made a good call, usually i just give up on the river when he calls a turn bet like that

LOL, take a note on this guy
wow.. i guess u had a note on him already at this point, good double barrel i guess=D
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/234851
too aggro, if u think he's messing around (not often the case.. huh tokeweed? =]) just shove but i dont recommend it often
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/234847
what are u doing here? setmining preflop? then u flat the flop vs this monkey who ISNT going to do anything but shove the turn.. if your read is he's strong (which he turned out to be) accept it and just fold when u miss
this is a marginal setmine vs these guys though.. i think this particular one is like 18/15 or something similar so setmine vs his utg raises more often but 3bet pots i dont like it so much, in my experience the PiS guys do reraise light preflop fairly often vs light openers.. depends on the image u have i guess which is probably nitty.. in that case its fine

really horrible turn... u can probably fold this actually

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN | |

I'll try to open my pf play a bit, but honestly, I open with a lot of hands, and my numbers don't seem to change. I sit down with people who are 21/18, and it really does feel like I'm being more active than them pre-flop. Obviously I'm not though. I'll work on it.

I was very close to pushing the river, and I would have if he checked to me again. His TAF was below 1.0 over 100 hands though, so his river lead set off a lot of alarms. Didn't see KK coming that's for sure.
In hindsight, it was a pretty dumb move. The guy was being very active/stupid, and he even commented that he's doing better than he ever has.
This was the 2nd or 3rd time he 3-bet me pre-, and I wanted to do something about it. I was slightly tilted at this point, so I decided to disregard the fact that he's probably not fucking around with a UTG raiser from the BB (and a caller in between).

att steal 40 is abit extreme imo, if you're playing 13/11 and have att. over 20, that is pretty high as is I think.
Lemme put it this way: if some 13/11 with attempt to steal over 20 tries with my bb, you better believe I will defend
Make your attempt to steals less blatently obvious by raising more pf try opening stuff like QKs/ATs from utg, and loosen up on the co with suited connectors like 56 and the likes
btw, with such a low vpip/pfr difference, what do you do if say, utg opens for 4x and you're on the CO/btn/mp with 22?

You don't open with a "lot" of hands, lmao. You need to start playing 18/15, I already said this in a previous post.
I like many of those double barrels, actually, you're just doing them against opponents who won't fold, which is good, because that means that you can shove the river if you hit your semibluff 2nd barrel.
The problem is you're doing too much bluffing without outs - when you're called, you have no equity vs their calling range. It's something like checkraising with 88 on a T23 flop, if you're called, you're drawing to two outs - it's better to c/r with a hand like KQ, where you have 6 outs if called, understand? (This scenario does not apply if you feel that you are c/ring with 88 to protect your hand and the raise is for _value_)
Keep at it homie |
