| | flyff mmo =) by Ibsu Bai Hui, November 08
a few things:
1. graphics are way less interesting than those of 2moons. they are cute and pretty cool but not the realistic emersive landscapes of 2moons
2. you will take 2 days of grinding with 0 skills (OR you can waste skillpnts), before you reach lv15 and can choose a class.
3. you NEED to read the forums/guides. this is the least newbie-friendly game EVER. if you dont then you'll eventually read a guide at lv15 an find out you needed to collect a certain q item in order to join a particular class - and that you CANT GET IT ANYMORE because you're too high for regular drops from the appropriate NPC. god yes it's a PAIN.
4. it seems like 1 class is completely crap and has bugged ultimate spells which dont work properly (elemental mage) and another is insanely overpowered (going pure dex acrobat + using bows + spamming the same 1 skill, then later going bow-jester instead of bow-archer like you're 'supposed to'"
5. i'm on the PK server of course. they made all servers PK but everyone complained so they removed and left only one. it seems like it's hugely underpopulated. i thought for a decent while about switching to non-pk, more populated server, but what's the point in a non-pk mmo?? right now, i've actually got about 10 people on my friend list, and maybe i just haven't visited the Main City to see the crowds yet.
6. this game looks more grindy than 2moons. like i said, it took me 2 days (although i had work) to get to lv15 ... 2 days before i even CHOSE A CLASS -.- npcs now, at the same level as me, give like 0.5%/kill i think. and i'm lv20 good job with this overpowered class i'm able to solo npcs 4-5 levels higher.
7. flying is cool! i can finally fly (lv20). i bought a cheap broomstick and hoverboard to try both out.
8. i really couldn't decide which class to take, none reaaally appealed except assist (healer) but i found out they can do NOTHING except sit there and heal. but then i found a fighter assist hybrid is possible and i'm going to make one of those.
9. when i first logged in i (of course) made several characters and experimented to see what they look like and with different hair colour (ingame). unfortunately i found, if you make then delete a character, you have to wait 10 days for the name to be cleared -.- so basically i used up the names Perisie, perisie, PeRiSiE and had to then settle with xxPERISIExx and now will wait 10 days before i can remake Perisie and make that my Assist -____-
10. screenshot =) me flying over some town

| | October summary by BaB, November 08
Well, i quess i should write down some progress so far. It's over a month till i wrote...so what happened? I was going through some rough times in October. Firstly i dropped down from 2.3k below 1k and had to grind NL50 for some time. From than i skyrocketed to NL200 and my BR reached 4k$ for the first time. Well sound good?...Yea, but than the worst downswing hitted (dropped 2k in 2 days) and started NL50 again :D Have to say, i cleared like 4-5 bonuses on Tower and in fact iam still up just because of that. Reaching 100k hands for this month was not real, because of moving to a new place so i couldn't play as much as i planned. Played around 80k hands.
Overally this month was a BIG dissapointment although there were a good times too ( NL200 grrr :D)
PT stats:

Graph:

Goals summary:
80k hand - little less but its ok
NL100 is beatable for sure
Overaggresiveness is still a case...
Tilt is still the case...atleast in some days (loosing is depressing...)
Banking just for living...so far not bad, but looking for improvement soon!! :D
Goals for september:
80k Hand.
NL100 (stop with progressive BR management....NL 200 with 25 BI).
Clubbing twice a week atleast
Dancing lessons twice a week.
Wing Tsun training twice a week.
Stop my wuss attitude :D
Enjoy new city ( Brno ).
Well enough for now, wish u luck on tables cya.

Well
first i lost 18 $ playing HU SNGS ...
then i lost 3 buy ins on NL20 over 1K hands ...
Firts i got some decent suckouts
then i started to play bad ...
I completely lost motivation at around 600 hands ...
Its just not fun getting like 2-3 coolers , setups and stuff every 100 hands.
SO yeha this is probably my first loosing day after 21 winning days.
down like 4 buy ins overall.
Not dramatic but i hate it.
gona play a few MTTs now then go to bed

| | My sister needs employment by alphablend, November 08
My sister needs an employer, problem is she is in school and has a poor schedule (heavy class load). Don't suggest poker as an option please. All the places she has applied will not work with her schedule. I was thinking a job like data entry would be good for her, so she can work on her own time (possibly from home). She did get accepted at one place, as much as I hate my sister I dont want to see her working at there, I know the people there, and I dont like them. Not only that, they pay is ABSOLUTE SHIT...
Any suggestions or a direct source to a data entry position? I realize I could do some searching for her, but I have seen multiple people in threads and blogs mention they were doing data entry at one point. I haven't done any searching for her because there are alot of "work at home for $4,000 a week" scams. And having never done any legitimate work myself I dont know where to look. Thanks.
Edit -- Make note No poker nothign illegal...

| | I still hate myself... BUT! by Cro)Deadman, November 08
Lets get something clear,a baby chipmunk could probably play poker then me and I'm convinced I suck at this game, but you know what they say, acceptance is the key twards salvation.
So lets pretend for a minute I believe in that shit and I expect to become better in the future(el oh el).
Today I grinded stars (this morning to be precise) and I played 3k hands...In the first 2K I made like 3 buyins went from 250$ to 288$ (started at 266$ but first hand was me KK vs AA vs QQ so lost a buyin there).
After a while started to get a bit coolerd so I lost a bit,and im like yeah yeah fuck it,then it just continued and made me tilt and shit so the morning ended at 252$(So ofc,I was a bit pissed)
So after talking a bit to radiohead (just whining how I suck pretty much)I decided to give it a go and to play supernitty and nice overall.
Hit a huge heater!Played only 8 tables but constantly AA somewhere, draws hitting all the time, getting sets etc.
So the day finished at 302$ on stars!Yippie!
Now in a hour I'll go play noiq and see how I'll do there.
P.S. Ofcourse I hate 2p2ers their stupidity and ignorance exceeds normal limits,LP is teh shit.

omgwtflol watch part 3 of todays episode of PAD. He gets away without any bets with AQ vs KJ on a 9TQ-board in a raised pot bvb. It was just sick. And it gets even better, next hand antonio dubble barrels with K high and gets the same dude to fold A-high. lol. Good stuff.

| | 2+2 sucks by Big_Rob_48, November 07
I have been reading up on 2+2 a little bit lately, mostly midstakes, and I just hate all the shit they talk about, all this theoretical stuff that make me think like "maybe if you got a little more fundamentally better you should worry about that, but you aren't so quit talking about making some kind of crazy fold and learn how to play simple poker better",
exhibit 1 is this thread:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sho...ber=12854726&page=0&fpart=1&vc=1&nt=2
"When to fold a set for how many bb's?"
Then Aislephive, who seems to be a long time and esteemed poster at that site, says "I don't "love" getting it in, since we're behind a decent amount. I'd get it in because I think it's +EV though."
So you're behind a decent amount with a set(??? WTF???) and its EV+ to get it in if you are behind a decent amount? OK..... that makes PERFECT SENSE.
The players on LP just seem so much less douchey and open to new ideas and have helped me get a lot better, 2+2 just pisses me off half the time, i'm sure their high stakes is probably really good and stuff but they just have so much BS.
End rant i guess just thought like posting this for fun

| | November week 1 by Critterer, November 07
So far its going okay, pretty swingy but i'm up.
Running pretty bad, especially on sunday where i had the -5.5 buyin day which is pretty rough over 2k hands. So i cant complain, glad to still be up despite the swing.
Heres graph and results of week 1:
http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/8620/novemberweek1di9.jpg
I'm happy with the number of hands i'm playing too, will try and keep this up until near the end of the month when ill probably try and squeeze a few extra out so i can hit goldstar (950/4000 for the month so far, so i'm sliiightly behind but almost dead on track).

| | New Love in My Life... by JonnyCosMo, November 07
Yea that's right, I'm in love. I've known about her for years, but we were only formally introduced just recently (like a couple months ago). At first, our relationship didn't start out so good. Definitely a little rocky at the start. But the more we started to be around each other, the more my love for her grew. Now I can't go a day without her, she is my everything, my light at the end of the tunnel. She is beautiful in every way. At night, when we are alone, she likes it rough and dirty. And yes, I give it to her like she wants it. I give it gooooooood.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/JonnyCosMo/Josie.jpg
... She is heads-up poker. And I rock her world.
Recently I've been playing a ton of heads-up on FTP and Pokerstars. Started out at NL200, and have worked my way to NL400. I love it. It's amazing. The most beautiful thing about it is there just isn't enough information out there about how to play a proper heads-up game. And even the information that is out really won't help players too much since the situations you get into in heads-up are much more player dependent, so there really is few universal truths to the game. On top of that, most people at the middle stakes just haven't played enough of it. Stars only recently came out with heads-up tables for the low levels (and they have them capped at 10 tables max), and FTP didn't have them before this year, and they really aren't that popular compared to 6-max or full ring. With that said, there is a ton of dead money in heads-up games. People make the wrong adjustments, misjudge your aggression, and basically make a ton of basic errors then somehow justify it as "coolers" because they are heads-up. It's pretty laughable. Best of all, you run into the biggest shit talkers in the world when you play heads-up. People think they are god, and will berate you for every mistake they think you are making. If you ever want a good demonstration of natural human stupidity, play more heads-up poker.
That's my 2 cents for the day. <3
