| | Day 10 - Funny hand by TianYuan, December 10
25,074 VPPs collected this month
18,777 VPPs to go
http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/9241/day10am9.jpg
I took a pause this session to eat (well, I'm not sure you can call sitting out for 5 minutes while you bring dinner a pause) and I really have to make sure I do this everytime I play, cause I just tilt way too easily if I don't.
Nothing special overall but had a funny hand come up..

I play pretty good
OOKOKOK I KNOW IS UC
Ez HOTW IMO.
Even though I played like a monkey 8D If I thought there was any chance of him bluffing I should probably shove turn, although I guess he generally gives up bluffs on rivers after betting that amount on the turn.. Hm.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333448 - Is this the LP-Adam? I wanted to just call flop here because the guy behind me was a big station/bluffmonkey, so I thought an overcall or a raise was possible.

Yo,
I was looking for somewhere to keep a blog and then I remembered LP has a free blogging section so I figure I will give it a shot. My name is Austin, I play as RebuyFoolAA on PokerStars. You can find me at 200NL currently, although its more shot taking then full time right now. If you know me leave me a comment. If not then I hope to get to know you all better. I will start posting some screenshots when I have time/the ability to. All for now I guess.

| | Trip report by Kapol, December 10
Hey there, degenerates!
Yesterday I came back from Sosnowiec from a Polish Poker Tour (PPT) event. It was hell of a weekend, I have to admit. The climate was just stunning, the place where the whole thing was held was very nice, and the prizes there were moderate.
Friday
I was going to play a tournament which was supposed to start at 6PM. I had arrived at Falcon billiards club (where the event took place) at 7:40PM (a bit late ) and I started playing as soon as I appeared there. I was pretty card dead and busted out 36th out of 110 players (AQ vs AA pre-flop). There was one crucial hand where I could've doubled up, but I folded queens pre-flop vs a huge nit who showed, surprisingly, only TT.
Off to the cash games we go. The game was extremely loose and I lost some money, no hands to mention. The guy that I was sleeping with at the hotel lost his biggest pot ever in a $2/$2 cash game this day, because he had misjudged the size of the pot on the turn (he haven't noticed one side pot), hadn't bet properly and, all in all, he lost an over $5000 pot to a runner-runner flush (he hit a set on the turn). Pretty sad.
Saturday
Saturday was the Main Event day. I didn't play it so I played some $0.4/$0.8 Dealer's Choice game (PLO, Hold'em 1 or 2 flops, Crazy Pineapple 1 or 2 flops). Lost 200BB there, including two big pots in Crazy Pineapple 2 flops, where once I had A9dd on flops: J92, 76d4d (lost both to AJ, I haven't improved on either boards) and the second time I had KT on flops: KTQ, KJ2 (lost both to J4(!), guy rivered me with an ace on the first flop and spiked a 4 on the turn on the 2nd).
Sunday
I didn't feel like playing any poker on Sunday, so I just watched the final table of the Main Event and returned home in the evening. I was in my home town at 11:30PM.
Conclusion
I left some money in Sosnowiec, but I don't regret a single penny. I met a bunch of great people and I look forward to visiting the next PPT event in Krakow in late January. I'm definitely going to play the Main Event, because I prefer playing live tourneys to live cash games.
Internet poker
No whining on Internet poker in this blog entry, even though I should .

| | Welcome to Spewtown, Population: Me by beethreekay, December 10
So things have been going pretty horribly for me lately poker-wise, and as a result have lost pretty much all confidence in my game. I've been on about a 15 buy-in or so downswing for the past week or so, most of which has been mistakes by me. I've pretty much just spent the last week slowly leaking chips. I've tried adding tables to encourage me to just grind, and I've tried dropping down to 4-tabling to improve my hand reading, but nothing is working. I'm capable of people pretty well when I'm on my game, and 50NL seems easy as a result, but then it all goes to hell in one or two hands, and I lose focus and spew. For example, today:
The Good Stuff
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333354 - Taking a fellow LPer to valuetown. I've been developing my thin value betting recently, and this is a nice example of me putting him on a bluffcatcher, and extracting as a result. I guess I could have overbet the river, but I'm happy enough with it. The great thing about playing solid players is the removal of the randomness factor. Value extraction is easier when you know they would never play a set this way.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333356 - The benefits of light 3-betting in position. There is no way I can have the best hand here. His CO opening range is wide, so the 3-bet is easy, and I don't think he's flatting OOP with AQ or AK here. As long as I dodged a set, my c-bet would take it down. Maybe I pushed him off QQ or something.
The Bad Stuff
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333363 - Villain was playing quite laggy, so I was 3-betting him lots. He had never 4-bet me before, though. There's no need to call the shove here, as I'm flipping at best.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333361 - "He couldn't have a Q, could he? Nah, he's probably on a draw. Time for a hero call. Oh, crap." I am the mayor of spewtown.
As a result, I've decided to dedicate December to getting my game back on track. First, I'm going to drop down to 25NL for a week or so to regain my donk-stacking confidence, then work slowly at 50NL until I feel supremely confident there.

| | Instances of Dumb Spewing #1 by JonnyCosMo, December 10
Was over at Myth's place earlier in the week and we were joking about how some poker players are total nits with their money etc... and Myth says something that I found amusing: "You aren't a real poker player unless you occasionally spew some money" So...
This morning I woke up for my final at 7:00, after studying til 3:00. It was pretty cold outside so naturally I was a genius and decided that a t-shirt will do. I get to school at 7:50 with my final starting at 8:00, and I'm freezing my ass off, so I go to the book store to buy a SDSU sweatshirt. The lady who rings me up tells me it's $32.80 or something like that, but I only have $100's in my wallet, so I give her the $100. She then looks down in the cashier and realizes there isn't enough change in the box for it. So she goes off to the back to find more change for her box. It's now 8:00am... so I'm like fuck this, pick up my sweatshirt and leave.
Yes I just paid $100 for a sweatshirt. Am I a real poker player yet Myth? lol

| | 2/4 results by twotimesopt, December 10
Hello Blog World
Well, my plan was to play 10k hands of 2/4 to get back into the swing of things. But I am cutting it short at 5k hands. I just finished a +10BI 2.5k hand session, which is rather long for me, considering that I haven't been playing at all recently. Anyway, I'm finding the 2/4 games to be WAY easier than 3/6-5/10 which I am used to. Also, the games are really good - a lot of the regulars are bad, there's not many shortstackers, plenty of action and deep stacks. Really a great level. But, I feel like I have been playing well, so it's onto 3/6. I ran really well at 2/4 so I am now rolled for another shot at 5/10, but I am going to do 5k hands at 3/6 just to be gradual about things. Anyway, here's the stats:
http://uoregon.edu/~kcorcor1/blog/400nlstats.JPG
Anyway, here's the interesting-ish hands from tonight's session:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333100
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333099 - this is probably way too thin.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333098 - well, i guess he CAN have AK here....
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333096 - i lol every time i min-raise
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333095 - ship it in, cunt-face mcgoo shortstack
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333094 - ty sir. this guy is shitty spewmonkey, great to stack him
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333092
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333091 - pwned! this guy has no fold button.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333089 - ty lee! <3
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333088
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333084 - ?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333083 - pretty questionable call here imo
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333082
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333080 - winnar!
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333078 - i have no idea what he raises so big with and then folds...maybe A9 or some shit. really expected the money to go in here.
Cheers!

Tried to fight some kids from another town, picked up a 38 year old chick from a bar, she was so fine. Consumed enough beer to keep doomer drunk for three straight weeks and never had such a great time in my life.
