A little problem occured today. I started up Poker tracker with an old shortcut, it was in a mode that stored hands in some other place than usual, I could not see any stats other than some really old ones from Pokerstars or maybe Pokerhost, can't remember. When I quit and restarted Pokertracker with the usual shortcut, all the numbers except the ~1200 hands I played today were back. If someone knows how to merge the two sets and where they might be.. I'll be grateful for tips.
Things are still running good since I started playing a lot more aggressively. I was +$20 when the sick thing happened with PT, and this is the stats after. My aggression has increased a whole lot. So has my winning rate. I'm actually winning. And it's me! Woohoo!

25NL loves me. I sat out of stars after grinding out 3.5 buyins at 5NL, and felt I was done playing seriously for the night. But I got bored and decided to just play on Party for a while. I had about $62 after dumping $25 the last time I tilted.
So I go and open up a $25NL table, 6 max, super super underolled. I just sit in there for a while and play TAG. My first big hand I had Ac with 3 clubs on the table. I bet out in position preflop, flop and turn. Villain check called me down to river where I checked behind my ace high and he shows a pair of 3's for bottom pair on the flop, no flush draw. Sick calldown. Anyways I find myself at $15. I obviously do the sensible thing and reload. Three hours later I'm up to $96 on the first table. I also opened up a second table with my remaining $21.73 and doubled up to $50.34 after this hand.
I love 25NL, they're like the fish in 5NL and 10NL except there are some lines you can play which have like an 80% chance to induce a bluff shove, because everyone has FPS and if you display any weakness they'll try to pounce on you. And even if you're strong they'll still call you down to the river anyways with top pair on a four flush board.
I was trying to hit $100 on that first table, but then this strange hand occured. He doesn't have the king, I can just feel it, like his shove was a bit too confident. So either he's just way too aggressive with a flush draw or he has a set.
Anyways, that hand cost me about $10, but I think that it was a strong fold (he shoved for $17 more).
Made 2 bad reads - felt I was being squeezed once, turns out he just had AA
Other time was against a 70/20, felt he had some kind of big card combo on a raggy paired river board in a 4 bet pot, turns out he had the 2nd nuts (for 2BI) ship.
Other than those, I had a session where I didn't spew off buyins like my previous -7buyin days. It was just a sick unreal amount of suckouts and coolers. So much for my 10bb winrate, now down to 7
I've decided to stay away from 10NL for now and just grind at 5NL on stars. I'm not really superstitious about luck but it really did seem like I was getting sucked out on or coolered every other hand the two times that I tried to jump to 10NL.
Anyways, my 'bad luck' has simmered down and I am steadily building it up on stars now. I haven't touched party since I tilted since I've been feeling pretty good on stars for the last while.
I think I have a good feeling for this limit, when to cont bet and when to hold back, and how much to value bet to get a call.

I got an ugly session on Nl50 today and lost -150$
biggest loser was AA vs J9 on 892 rainbow board flop all in ... of course river came a 9 and he took the 130$ pot -....
such things just affect my mood way too much in the university exam periods.
I also noticed yesterday that i just cant stop playing poker and then fully concentrate on learning university stuff ...
i stop poker session grab some books , sit down and start a learn "session" but all my mind is just like interrupting me and automatically switching to thinking about poker stuff all the time like every 5 minutes
Seriously I hate this stupid format of representing every team its so dumb. Henrik Lundquist, Tim Thomas, Mats Sundin, Alex Kovalev, and maybe even Malkin all deserve to be on the all-star roster in the east this year. I'm glad the big line in Ottawa made the team as I'm an Ottawa fan but the league is just completely stupid to invite players from each team rather than actually inviting the players doing the best this year. Complete crap.
Ok so i had bad downsing on bossmedia and i mostly lost all i had there, but then i have received $50 free roll not from LP but i did, and after of few days playing underrolled im at $500 there and my roll now is $605 cause i have $105 on PS, i m thinking about putting it all on ps and grind there... hmm im not sure yet about this one, no graphs no screens today cause mostly i wasnt using PT on titan i think thats all for today

My names Mark Aldridge from harrow london, started playing poker about 3 years ago and dveloped my game significantly in the last year.
First things first i have had no bankroll managment and have gone on some crazy tilts and donked off alot of money in the past , ive grinded up my money on 1/2 50/1 no limit to see it up to about 2k about 20 times only to blow it in a big game when on tilt. I have definanatly learned from all this though, i am astudent and i cannot possibly afford to lose 2k ever again and now am playing 50/1 constantly and thinking about delving into some limit, of which i have been reasonably sucsessful on.
Mainly play on pkr nowadays as it easily has the worst players. oldskool3000 is the name, ive had spells on ladbrokes, stars, vc etc so ou might have seen me around. gl at the tables!
So I haven't been posting for like 3 weeks. I went home for xmas etc and had awesome time. Today I just passed my last exam this week and I only have to finish a group project for one of my units.
December was shitty cause I haven't played almost at all. Here are the results
Right after xmas I went to Austria with my friends for snowboarding and new years eve. It was one of the most tiring weeks in my life. Basically we would drink every night, wake up at 7:30am, have a breakfast and hit the slopes, come back at 5pm, take a shower, have a dinner and get drunk again. I came back totally exhausted. Many good stories from the trip but I'm to lazy to post them.
Just 2 days after coming back from Austria I had a flight to Manchester. Manage to go out before it though. 2 days after arriving in Manchester I had my first exam and I haven't studied at all during xmas break. So I only had time to study for one day for each exam. But I still pwned them. I should get 80%+ in each of them. The group project is a pain in the ass though. Every day I'm telling myself that I'm gonna start doing it on the following day. No success so far. Maybe tommorow? I've got like a week left to finish it. Then other peoplez from my group will give me their part and I'll have to put it together cause I don't trust anyone with such stuff.
I have played like 5k hands in January even though I had literally no time for poker. I'm slightly up I think but not more than 2 buyins. I moved to some new euro site cause I think my ISP in university halls blocked some ports and I can't log to like half of poker rooms. So far I'm getting raped but owning everyone so I'm still up a bit. Gonna start playing a lot more after I finish this group project though.
I'm probably going to Copenhagen for EPT. I'm not gonna play tho (unless I luckbox good in some satelites). I'm mainly going because of sOah's post. I was thinking about going anyway but this convinced me.
Tonight I was planning on getting wasted but I feel kinda tired so I'll see. I might take a nap first.
Gotta start playing more. Uni is pissing me off. There are so many thing I'd like to do but I can't cause I'm at the damn uni. I'm not gonna drop out though (hopefully). I'm thinking about a gap year. But I already had one just before I started uni (I'm a first year). Dunno. Advice?
Ok hello everyone, little update of how i was running throughout december. Unfortunatelly i lost my PT data, so no statistics or graph
The month started really well, i won like 15 buyins in the first week. After that i was struggling a little and lost like 4 buyins.
During the christmas time i did't play at all, except 2 days before the New Year Eve while i've got another heater, so i finished up like 1800 for the whole month (25k hand) + 1500 in bonuses. I have cashouted like 3k that month because of christmas expenzes and i've bought for myself a new notebook, which im very happy for.
I have made some New Year resolutions about poker:
- Play less amount of tables and tend to play HU as well ( max 6 tables 5-max or 2 HU )
- Give a shot to take some coaching lessons ( something like 50/hour max, from more sources; If you could recommend someone, thx in advance >] )
- 40/50k hand for month
- Blog more
- Give a shots to NL200 as soon as BR allows ( no more big cashouts for a while )
Summary: Im very happy for my results thorough i still make a really donkey moves every now and than. 2008 ( lol )was a decent year for me and i'm proud to say, i have nice income from poker. Hopefully my tendencies will go higher and ill be much better player in the end of 2009 ( rofl ). I wish the same for all of you ( dont play on my tables ! :D ), have a nice time, BaB

oh well, its ok! I reviewed some PT hands and the 200bb+ pots i lost were all flips, and i lost 3-4 in a row, so whatever that's just variance. I am playing a bit sub-par, but im sure im just a little affected by losing 400$ (8 BI's) in basically 1500 hands of playing haha.
Just kinda bad luck affecting a few decisions...ill be taking the day off for sure today and hopefully bounce back. It's all about attitude to get over "downswings"...which i will henceforth rename "just getting some bad luck and not playing optimally" ;o
one piece of advice i was given that is really, really good, is when you find yourself not running so great , rather than rage open more tables to chase losses, cut down a few and focus more on your decisions..eventually everything will work out if you're making the right ones.
If not? Whatever, take a break, if you're sufficiently rolled you should be able to take a stretch of dropping buyins :<
I started by depositing $50 AUD ($42ish USD) about 3 weeks ago into stars and i've been slowly grinding my way through NL2 whilst playing random $1.10-$3.30 MTT's to keep me from getting too bored. And whilst in the last few days i had a bit of a bad run with my roll jumping from $83 down to $70's, i placed 4th in a 1003 person $2.20 tonight for $110 to boost my roll up to $180!
Goodbye NL2 i wont miss you! (although I'm told i will ) time to get donked in NL5! :D

so i always always lose during fridays, today was no exception, tried so hard to stop and play when things went terrible. lost 2bi at 25nl, lost 2bi at 50nl 6max, played fr 50nl 24tabling still nothing and kept losing. i tried so hard to win today, it was like an epic struggle for survival, i know that losing is inevitable, and i do have losing days, but i always, always try my best to win back some of what ive lost by really, really playing well and not tilting, waiting for the "surge" to come by and it really does. well i was able to win only 130usd of the 200 i lost and since i did get the 50usd bonus i lost about 20usd today. sucks to get that bonus and run like shit. good thing is i feel im ready for 50nl fr. and im playing that starting tomorrow. ill post my graph since ive played mostly the 2nd session and the 1st one was really short.
BR update:
now at around 3100ish, so im rolled for 50nl well. thinking of moving to 6max and 8 tabling at stars, but im gunning for fpps at the moment and play very high variance 6max games. fr is really sick boring but at least i can have a stoploss/win ratio of 2bi playing the whole day for hours and hours on and even 24tabling.
