can enjoy poker that much ....
I get bored so fast
i can hardly motivate myself to have fun after a 700 hands session ...
I had 5 nice winning days the last weeks .... + 180 €
today was my first loosing session since i restarted after break ...
- 63€ and i almost lost all fun again ...
I lose
AJ to AT on J44 flop all in to T // T
I lose AK on Kxx flop with FD to K9 -> river 9
AA to AT on Txx flop river another T
I lose straight to FH
and FH to higher FH
i mean overall that happens sometimes
but i am so bored of this ...
as ive said in my bp yest, i was upset with myself coz lately ive been "scared" money, like i didnt wanna play long sessions for fear of variance which imo, is really unavoidable and stupid regardless if you play long or short sessions, playing solid poker is what's important. variance is variance and suckouts will come, theres just no way around it. so today i played relatively longer, coz i really felt gunning for strictly 2bi was really not enough, and i knew i could do a whole lot better on really good days, so today i did reach 4bi. wasnt a cakewalk really but just kept on playing and playing well, and got really decent results for a day's work. stacking praire dog twice was what really made it sweeter though HAHAHAHAHAHA revenge is best served fucking cold!
I'm so happy february is ending tomorrow. At least I dont think I'll allow a big loss enough to tilt me for next month. 4bi tomorrow is fine by me to end the month lol http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/7557b5402ea88be1a551e992a1a42cf9.jpg
playing 25nl again (lol) later to get that bonus.peace out.
I've wanted to do this for a long time but have always been too lazy and probably a bit embarrassed about posting a vid publicly. I've made a lot of vids for friends to watch and give me advice, but I've avoided posting them here in the blog. My GF thinks that it's a bad idea cause then people will know how I play and can take advantage of me, but I think I'm such a small fish in a large pond right now that no one is going to bother to use this video against me, and I'll get a lot more help from this than I will have it used to hurt me.
PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO AND PAUSE AFTER INTERESTING HANDS AND POST COMMENTS HERE IN THE BLOG!!!
I've had a few friends do that for me in previous video's and the help has been invaluable. I realized that I have been getting a lot of helpful comments in my blog from LP guys that might be kind enough to give video advice too, but I never ask em for it. So now I'm asking and hope you guys hook it up =)
Downswings are good for gameby Forrest Gump, February 27
So, after more than 2 months of break even stretch, I reviewed and analized my game so much and learned 2 big things about poker that made me feel so good
1. I learned to change gears and play a lot of different styles, from 12/10 to 29/20. Started to 3b light more than before and try to play mind games with the players (regulars) instead of playing cards against fishes. I mean, after seeing a lot of CR hi stakes videos with pros beating tough tables, I realized that I should be able to do that too if I train myself enough. Poker is a big mind game
2. Learned how to make table selection when the players are not retarded (How to choose good seats in a table full or regulars) or games are not good enough for time/day reasons.
So after all Im back to grinding. Im gonna try to make 10K at NL200 to build my confidence and be sure that I learned the right things. Then Im gonna be back to NL400
after reading a lot about seduction and women, i decided its too complex, difficult, and hard. women are too difficult for me.
have nice body langage, good social skills, nice social circle, good looks, good clothes, nice hair, work out, be confident, act sexual but not too much, be willing to crash n burn, be funny, good conversation, etc
effort required just to get a decent girlfriend is immense
so can any gays teach me how to become gay? pav? i will pay 20$/hour
So I'm still grinding out the $1 18mans, have an ROI of about 25% over a few hundred of those which is ok I think.
Also after iop staked me for five 4/180s I broke even. Was the first time I'd ever played any of those but was fun, if anyone else would like to stake me for a few of them I'd offer 40% profit, they're out of my BR range atm so I can't play them with my own money
Still looking for a part time job, worst time of year to be doing it because every other 17/18yr old out of year 12 is also looking for one -.- I was too slow off the start of the year so now I'm regretting it, having no money to do anything.
I've finished all the Harringtons now and I'm picking up Sklansky's Theory of Poker as well as Colin Moshmans SNG book on Monday which should be pretty solid and hopefully boost my skill a little further.
Last 2 days I've been running pretty horribly, can't count the number of flips I've lost or times I've lost with AK/AQ to AJ/AT/KQ etc, oh well, thats why these $1 donks are so profitable I guess ^^
the huge upswing was right after my session with gawdawaful. he's got midas's touch mebbe?
oh wait.. midas killed his daughter... right. the big downswing in there happened after this sick sick live home game i went to the other week.
man what a sick fucking game it was. it was SO bad and SO fucking loose that it was death for me once i started tilting. the thing is, it was completely impossible to isolate a player 95% of the fucking hands because a) if i was UTG, there would be at least one caller with me when i raise to 4.5x blinds, and if that guy calls, everybody behind him fucking calls with TRASH reciting "ohh shit pot odds" , and b) if im in position, i'm already playing against a raised pot with 2089369283 players who called the raiser before me. sure i 3bet a huge amount with my QQ-AA and the same fucking scenario occurs where if one guy calls, then it's the same damn "pot odds" bullshit all over again and i'm playing against 4 players in a HUGE reraised pot. so basically we played holdem with FIVE FUCKING HOLE CARDS. i can only get outflopped a few times right? WRONG.. FUCK YOU
add tilt to the whole thing and you have a night where you're down 110. i mean it's not much to most of you but that's 11 fucking buyins at NL10 for me.. wowwwwww
i was so hating poker by then that i didn't play for 3 days... and then when i got back, i was still a bit tilted i guess and i spewed about 6 buyins at around the 6k mark.
calmed down a little and played better/ran better so i'm back up at the top...
My UFC picks + thoughtsby KeanuReaver, February 27
haven't done this in a while but fox has me pumped for picks. here goes:
Anderson Silva vs Dan Henderson: silva by KO rd 4.
This might be the greatest matchup ever in terms of clinches and while I feel for hendo to win he has to win the clinch, I don't feel the same for silva. Hendo loves to strike and he's not too bad at it either, but silva is on a whole nother level. if hendo chooses to strike with silva it'll be over quick. Hendo also isn't one to shoot in much and given his greco background he really doesn't need to, but what this all means is that hendo needs to get inside and dominate the clinch. if he can regularly get takedowns on silva and punish silva when given the opportunity in transitions he can either grind out a decision or get a TKO but I really don't see this happening. I do think hendo gets takedowns but silva's bjj (along with his length) is tremendous at neutralizing his opponents top game and I think it'll be silva punishing hendo in between. While Hendo has shown in many fights he gasses in the last round I've never seen silva even breathe hard much less gas, I think hendo gets sloppy when tired and silva finishes him off.
Heath Herring vs Cheick Kongo: Herring by TKO rd 1.
Kongo looks like a beast and in standup he is, unfortunately he doesn't know what a sprawl is and I'm pretty sure even I could beat him on the ground. This match lasts as long as it takes herring to take kongo down, and I'm pretty sure herring is intelligent enough to do so asap.
Alessio sakara vs Chris leben: Leben by UD.
This should actually end up being a pretty competitive (although slow paced) fight. I think sakara is the superior technical striker while leben does much better inside and in the clinch. I think leben will control the pace a lot in the clinch and Sakara won't be able to do enough while they're split so leben by UD.
Yushin Okami vs Evan Tanner: Okami by UD.
Really happy to see tanner back in the ufc but man this is a horrible matchup for him. okami is pretty much a 3x stronger version of tanner. given tanners strong bjj and toughness I don't think okami subs him (and likely won't maul him or anything) but this'll be a pretty one sided UD.
Chris Wilson vs Jon Fitch: Fitch by TKO rd2.
UFC debut vs fitch eh? pretty rough. Fitch is probably the 2nd most well rounded fighter at 170 in the world (behind gsp of course) and his ground game is extremely solid. gonna be a lot of gnp and a bloody wilson.
Jake O'Brien vs Andrei Arlovski: Arlovski by KO rd1.
One of two things happens when arlovski fights guys like this. Either scaredy I-don't-wanna-lose arlovski shows up and he grinds out a close and boring decision or manly I'm-going-to-tear-his-face-off arlovski shows up and he devours his opponent. Either way Andrei wins, and I'm thinking with how much grief andrei has gotten for his previous fights we'll see manly andrei come out and tear O'Briens face off in the first round.
Luigi Fioravanti vs Luke Cummo: Fioravanti by TKO rd1.
Cummo makes me giggle and he's not a bad fighter but it's just a gut feeling that Fioravanti is gonna catch him. Fioravanti is a good fighter and he's training with (arguably) the best gym in the US in ATT. Cummo has a tendency to leave himself open in standup and luigi is good enough and has the right trainers to show him how to take advantage.
Don't feel like writing up the others, but fwiw I got the 3 TuFers beating their opponents. Really looking forward to the event, very strong card with an amazing headliner.
So I got bored today... Not really in much of a poker mood. Made a NL50 video for www.donkeytest.com in the morning and ran pretty bad so I ended up demonstrating how to drop a buy-in. Lyric should be posting it within the next few days. Other than that, I cleaned my room, and went to the gym for an hour. Was thinking about heading out to vegas, but apparently tomorrow is gonna be a pretty awesome party night so I don't really want to miss that. So to pass time, I think I might go and play some live poker down the street. Incase I somehow lose money to these idiots down the street at Lucky Lady, I've prepped several $100's to berate my opponents if they so happen to get one of them from me. Check out some of my favorites:
Today another + 30€ session ( not ended yet so i might profit some more)
But i wanted to show u the graph of my last 11 K hands including one of the sickest bad luck streaks i ve experienced.
I know it was a very short Downswing ... nevertheless it was as brutal as it could be since i lost every single big pot for over 2K hands.
and i mean really every single big pot ... no matter if i had a straight , flush or Full house i always lost SD
So i am a decent winner at Nl20€ Unibet for ~ 8 K hands and i am an insane loser for 2,5 k hands.
During that down i lost 300€ (15 buy ins) in just 2,5 K hands having average won at SD of 35%
Well i think its really "funny" to see how much Variance determins your shortterm success.
I played exactly the same over the sample size yet the results are as different as it could be....
So UFC this weekend. I'm pretty excited. I will make my predictions.
Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson
Dan is godly in the clinch and will not be run over by anderson. Both guys have great hands standup obviously in anderson's favor. I think if anderson wins this it's going to be early we've never seen him in a multiround fight however since he trains with nog i don't see it being a problem.
As is i'm going to say Anderson wins this in a decision from good strikes in 5 rounds. although i really don't want to pick this because i mean i could see dan landing a monster overhand right and finishing with gnp. I wouldn't be suprised at all, gonna be a great fight.
Cheick Kongo (Pictures) vs. Heath Herring (Pictures)
People think this is gonna be a standup war. i see this herring taking kongo down and just beating him up. Kongo has great standing mt but on the ground he's very very very suspect while herring is no slacker on the ground.
Yushin Okami (Pictures) vs. Evan Tanner (Pictures)
Okami is my fav fighter next to machida. Okami round 2 by bearhug and tanner's eye shooting from their sockets.
Jon Fitch (Pictures) vs. Chris Wilson
How does fitch make 170? he's enormous... fitch rnc
Diego Sanchez (Pictures) vs. David Bielkheden (Pictures)
diego might lose this but he's so crafty on the ground i see him winning a decision but David will make this fight difficult he's not a weakling.
Andrei Arlovski (Pictures) vs. Jake O'Brien (Pictures)
arlovski destroyed vladimire who's a godly wrestler and don't see how jake is any different.
Luke Cummo (Pictures) vs. Luigi Fioravanti (Pictures)
i like cummo a lot win by strikes
Josh Koscheck (Pictures) vs. Dustin Hazelett (Pictures)
I think kos can finish this fight and will look to since he's close to the end of his contract. Kos by rnc or kimura.
Jorge Gurgel (Pictures) vs. John Halverson
Jorge has sick ground skills but he's such a fag and likes to stand. Jorge by ud.
Poker is going ok right now. One of my masters has returned from the grave so i've been playing better just from talking mma with him. I've been doing omaha and i'm going to post once i've played about 50k hands, but so far running well.
MMA also doing good there is an upcoming grappling event in the next month i'm doing my best to get into it. I may just get in to be submitted by a brown belt, i'm itching to fight.
Im really pissed now! No REALLY! Like 1.5 year ago, when i started playing, one USD was something like 1.8 LV(our national currency). So.. if u get 200$ u get 340lv which was like average salary here. Now 1 USD is 1.29Lv. and 200$ are 260lv. which is like HALF of the average salary now! So, what happened? The fucking USD is like 2 times cheaper now! And i get like 2 times less money for the same thing! So wtf after all the b2b network has a future??
Edit: maybe this is good for the EU economics but its not good for me!
