Fuck I hate poker so much right now. Im down 4,5k for the month and nothing is working out for me. Most of this is 6-max since I havent felt like playing HU but I really think Im playing well for the most part. As always there are some losses that could have been avoided but still.
I cant flop a set to save my life and I havent won a flip nor have i been at the happy end of a cooler in days
This game is so brutal bleeehhhhhhhhhRAAAHHHHH RAAAGEEEEE!
Ill just break down and start again, im off school tomorrow so hopefully I can play alot. I still feel confident in my game and im in a good mindset while playing so I guess ill just have to grind it out.
I need a poker heater and a fucking life heater. I havent had neither in so long cmon god you owe me one shipship
played great during the all tournament, except KK all the time i was card dead, but still managed to make 25k from 10 starting stack with awesome bluffs and great postflop play, the other guys are suckers, so i was sure i will win this thing altough i wasnt chipleader untill following hand came up:
5 handed, blinds 400-800, i was on the button, utg folds and co makes it 2700 to go. now few things about co. he is a fairly good online player, plays nl 200 on ongame, and won some online tournaments. in 3 previous hands he almost doubled up with aces and ace king and got about 45k. his typical internet player who raises a lot in position and try to steal blinds, this raise was made right after he won the pot with aces. i also know from previous tournaments that he got a lot of folding equity and will raise but not call with marginal hands,
i pick up AQo on the button, made a little talk and raised an additional 5500k (at the begining i had 26k so i got left 19k) he begins to study so i know im not getting insta call, as he goes into the tank and starts thinking i put him on jacks. finnally he announces raise allin. i insta call knowing i got coin flip and chance to double up become chipleader and from now on i would owe this tournament. so he shows TT - lol!!!!!!!!!! flop doesnt change anything and im eliminated he later wins it all
what a sucker play imo
he knew i got a hand, he commited only 2,7k, got over 40k left but still decided to risk it with tt, shit, what a stupid play imo, i overrated him before, giving him credit to be a much better player than he is, now i will adjust, anyway i playd really good, played great poker in couple of pots, i especially liked that one:
8 handed, i raised in mp with 97 got a call from late position, completely missed the flop and check, the guy makes a bet so i check raise him, and he makes what i excatly wanted him to do he insta raises, so i repop and he folds sweet
next monday theres another one and i probably will play in it, will see now i will hit the books to study, see ya
The craving to play didn't take long to come back. I've redeposited the money I withdrew a couple of weeks ago.
Had a nice session this afternoon. Played 6 tables and was 4 buyins up when I decided to come off. Had a guy sat to my right for the entire session on one table who was a moron. His vpip was 59% and pfr was 3.3%. I saw him check behind hit gutshots on the river... twice. However, his BB/100 was +380! I decided to stay on this 1 table just in case I could get involved in a big pot with him. He was sitting there with 800BB and I had 400BB.
Then this happened:

Fuck, I start off this by forgetting how many hands I played and I don't know how to use PT to just the last session I played >.<. Either way it was like 1.5-2k hands 12 tabling nl2. I played much better than I feel I have before. I made a couple dumb spews but realized that I was spewing and fixed it immediately. I ran like shit for the first 1k hands. Well, not complete shit, I managed to win two all ins, but after all of the coolers and playing well I was break even up until a bit over 1k hands. Ending a session running well is an amazing feeling :D.
My BR is the highest it's been yet, $186. I hit $180 twice before but allways shot down to around $165 right after and I've been around $170 for the past week. Granted I was at $165 in the end of January (I basically didn't play in February or March T_T).
OK , SO i deposited 100, ran up to 300 playing mostly nl10, and as others saw my other threads , done some stupid sh!t. Any ways, ran so good at nl 10, everythin goin good, moved up nl 25, was breaking off even cause i was loosing big pots, and grinding away to make up for it. Now i moved down to nl10 permanently, untill id hit 500 BR. But now for some reason im sucking it up. I dont know if im playing too cocky, or what. I rly wana find my leaks.
What i wana know is if there is anyone out there who would like to maybe look at me play, give me some tips ect. OR atleast talk to someone while im playing would keep me from tilting. Maybe someone can offer me a lesson, ill pay money, cant pay too much tho, as i am at nl 10 ;/.
Thnx!@# My aim = vdaman18, my msn = vdaman18@hotmail.com

This can never fail
i need 32 points to pass the test.
besides that :
Funny thing is it turned out Royal_rumble from LP and i go to the same university
i didnt even know he was german before 5 days ago lol.
and another thing i want to share is a video of an old friend of mine
Marc _Andre Müller
we went to the same highscool and since we were both musicians we sometimes jam sessiond a bit. ( not too much though since we didnt have time to realize the rock & roll project we planned)
He was a self educated guitar player and he had some nice talent.
OFC u would sometimes notice that he learned it all by himself but on the other hand this gave him the possibility to really play the things he feels instead.
Today a friend msgd me that Marc did start to learn piano abit the last few years.
I honestly think this guy is an amazing musician !
ALl self educated in just a few years of practice !
click the link and watch the piano video if ure interested in music.
Going out to play a bit live poker. Its typicall weekly tournament with some good, but mostly bad players. BI around 30 $. There are usual about 20 -25 pplz.I hope to win this thing. I always played good live and since i havent played for a long time: THE SHARK IS HUNGRY. So wish me luck. Results when i come back...
I dunno, I think it's somethin Dr. Dre or Ice Cube said, so it obviously can't be a bad title for this blog post. No matter what you wanna call it, it is what it is, and it doesn't matter how it gets taken by the community.
"I know you are very dedicated and you study hard and I think you have what it takes to do very well in this game, but poker is much more ruthless then starcraft for example. No one gives a shit about you, they only care about themselves, and really theres no truer statement then that.
Beleive me Marshall I KNOW how much it sucks to be down, and I have a good idea of how you feel, I know how much it sucks to be kicked when you are already down but its almost second natrue in this game.. The point I am trying to make thought, For every decision you make in life or in poker you should expect every possible outcome so theres no surprises and everything is anticipated." -- This was sent to me in a PM after one of my previous posts, and I didn't ask for permission to post it here so I'm going to leave the name anonymous.
I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. A lot. About poker, my life, my future, my goals. I wasn't doing any of this from the start of the year up until about mid March. The reason I wasn't thinking was because I was delusional. I think the anonymous comment above illustrates a pretty good example of how delusional, and needy (I'm about to get to this) I was.
I created this blog after a HUGE heater. I believed it was because of my 'superior skill' but what really happened is that for four months, the planets aligned and everything I did worked, regardless if it was good play or bad play. I'm stubborn, and my stubborness is rooted in how strong my belief system is. Meaning, if I think something is true, you'd be hard pressed to convince me otherwise, many can attest to this, particularly my roommate.
By playing hundreds of thousands of hands, I gained an elementary understanding of the game, nothing of the level to which I claimed and boasted in my previous posts. Thinking about the real reason I created this blog, it was an attempt to gain recognition and praise. I posed it as a means to help others, slyly concealing my neediness in regards to attention. Of course it wasn't all just a ploy, a few posts were sincere, but because my reasons were incongruent with the statements made, I suffered tremendously. A few of you were quick to figure this out, and what can I say but eat my words and admit you were right.
However, a lot of good has ended up coming out of it. I understand now how petty and unfulfilling the need to be glorified or recognized is. It's immature and it really makes no difference what anyone thinks about myself or what I have to say, except myself. For this reason, I am going to re-continue to blog here. I went back and re-read a lot of the things I posted, as well as the responses I received, I was able to use these as a barometer in terms of gauging my own personal growth--which should be the real reason I blog in the first place--everything else should be taken with a grain of salt.
So as of now, my new mission statement is this: I will write posts to document my struggles and successes in poker while continually outlining thoughts I have about the game, and how my life is affected by the game (and vice versa).
I think this is plenty for now. In my next post, I intend to cover my brief stint blogging at flopturnriver.com, which illustrates extremely well the emotional affects and strain this game can put on anyone unprepared, and the completely ridiculous assumptions it had caused me and could cause anyone to make. I'll also outline where I'm at in my game right now and what steps/goals I need to take and set for the future.
So here are all the details on the laptop I am thinking about buying. If anyone has any great last minute suggestions that would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise at the end of tomorrow I'm going to down kick the $4,000 to get this baby built and shipped to me.
On another note, congrats to mig.com for getting 4th in the $5k at Bellagio. Also congrats to peachy_keen for getting so deep at Monte Carlo. Still got a friend doing well in Monte Carlo right now, so everyone better sway all your luck to Micheal Martin (Martine23) for tomorrow's final table. I know mig, Daut, and Nazgul are going to want to see their horse pick up that $3million+ score.
I played my first session of online poker in like 3 weeks today... boy it felt weird. Just kind of strange playing with regulars that actually know what they are doing. I think I'm going back to Vegas this weekend and try and satellite into the $25k main event. If I don't win myself a seat I'll probably end up playing the 10/20 NL since those games are probably going to be so sick soft. Hopefully things will continue to go my way. Wish me luck! I'll leave you guys with another hot song:
So I've moved up to NL10, I told myself I'd play over 10k hands at NL5 even though I was well rolled for NL10 just to start to get a feel for 6max, here's how my graph ended up; http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/3971/graphsh4.jpg
Today I played my first session at NL10, I was lucky enough to have kimseongchan watch over my shoulder and give me some tips. Pretty much all the hands I got into were very standard++ but there was a couple we just weren't sure of, so any opinions on these would be great =]
