pokerwise i came back to nl20 6max def and now im only playin 4 tables, i ve been learnin watchin looco play and with cr vids.

This is only NL100 Fullring, I also played some NL50 in the beginning and some NL200, but used different databases, didn't play many hands there and was about breakeven, so I won't host it here.
I ran pretty consistently, although I couldn't hold my sick winrate of like 11BB/100, but still good, check out the graph:
In May I started to play 6max, because Fullring became a little bit boring and hard to beat at NL200, because there are so many nits playing 11/9 and setmining the shit out of the table and not giving any action at all otherwise.
6max is much more swingy than Fullring, but also more exciting and there is some action going on. This is May so far:
I run quite bad at NL200_6max. I lost all my flips, got check-raised a lot when I didn't hit, lost many 3-bet pots and didn't get any action when I did have a big hand, especially preflop.
I feel like NL200 is really a huge step from NL100, both Fullring and 6max, but I don't want to grind NL100, as a poker player who both enjoys the game and the money, there is still some progress to make, maybe I will grind NL400 for a income.
Maybe I will go back to Fullring when I have a solid LAG style which I can use to crush the setmining nits at Fullring. I also thought about playing some Heads-up cashgames to improve my postflop play. We will see.
Discovering Online-Poker is definitely the best thing that could have happened to a semi-broke student like myself, but all the other students I told about it didn't get into it, don't know why.
I like this fold. MrTeddyKGB had been minraising a lot, so there was no way I could put him on range yet, but as he came over the top of the shortie's shove I didn't feel comfortable with my KK, especially not this deep. And yes, I was right.

The only real big hand I was able to win. Well, I probably would have get stacked if I had the lower set, but that's poker. Note that I didn't slowplay any street, because I want to play for stacks from the flop on and by slowplaying topset that might have get difficult. And there are many small pot hands that I lost, but I think it's variance and that I am able to beat the game. And if I am not able to do so, I will be using the knowledge I got here to stomp on the NL100 players, because I think that I am improving my game a lot at the moment.
Some real life stuff:
University is going on in the 4th week now, and thought that I would learn harder this semester but of course I don't. People don't change, but I should. I already switched majors once (at first I studied physics) and I cannot afford to fuck it up again.
Anyway, I passed all exams last semester, though my results were rather mediocre.
At Wednesday last week I met PplusAD, another LPer who studies at the same university here, here is the pic, maybe some of you haven't seen it yet, but PplusAD already posted it in his blog.

Training MMA is really fun, I wish I could do it more often, I only train once a week. Maybe next semester I will move to Nürnberg which is much larger than Erlangen and then I can join a club there.
Another thing I sometimes think about:
What can we learn from poker and apply to real life?
- Definitely Tilt-control. I mean tilt is a specific poker term, but it also applies to Real life. I think it's really good when you are always able to keep your coolness and think objectively about a situation instead of freaking out and stuff. Don't let nobody tilt you, no matter what shit happens to you.
- more reasonable thinking about things and persons. Like in poker you always think about what your opponent's cards are and what specific actions mean and tell you about your opponents holdings and intentions. I feel like I do that with other things as well, observing little things and thinking what they mean and what people think about when they do it.
- more responsible relation to money. Yeah, sounds paradox. Now that I make thousands of dollars with online-poker, I could spew around, right? But the reason I am able to win money, is that I respect money. Never would I post a blind out of position or complete the small blind without a good reason to do so. I mean, it's only like $1, but in the long run it adds up and it's definitely -EV. EV is term I also use in my daily thoughts.
Damn, maybe I could have expressed this a little bit better going a little bit more in depth, but it's getting late and I get tired.

Regular high school was too hard for my circle of friends. You could call us the dropouts. It would be fitting, and I won’t fight it, though I don’t totally agree. We found a way to work the system. There was an alternative high school called Quest that we used as a way to pass our high school years. It was private, it cost money, and you didn’t work. It was a packet system. Each chapter in the text book was photocopied and put into a packet. The teacher would give you a packet; you would read it and answer the questions at the end, and bam you were done with a chapter.
There were tricks. Certain packets had all the answers in bold, or people had highlighted them from other uses. We would just copy from the book. I didn’t learn crap.
When we did work we copied, but mostly we didn’t work. We talked. Every kid had a personal teacher to track them. Each teacher had a personal room, about the size of a small conference room. Our teacher was Kristin, and every day we went to our small room and sat. Kristin didn’t care if we worked, so we didn’t. She usually just wanted us to play pictionary with her. Or Simpson’s trivia. Most the time my friends and I would get stoned, go into the room, sit for an hour, play some pictionary, and leave to smoke more and get lunch. We always said we were coming back, but never did. I didn’t smoke though; I was past the weed smoking point in my life.
Our group consisted of about 5 guys. All lazy, all funny, all potheads cept me. Still, they dressed well, weren’t slobs or dirty. We tried to stay classy.
Kristin was a bigger woman, athletically built. She had sex with our older friends. Kristin was 25. We would always joke about having to bone her to be able to graduate. None of us wanted to, but I thought if that’s all I gotta do to graduate, I’m fine with it. Better than school work.
The rest of the kids attending the school didn’t fit with us. In the regular high school we were the good looking assholes that were failures, but still looked good (which gets you places in this world) and were looked up to. Every other kid at Quest had been a reject in the main high school. Now we were the outcasts, the minority, but we still walked around like we owned them and everything on the damn earth.
Our room was our room, and some days we would be invaded by the other kids. We called them the aliens. If we walked into our room and there were other kids in there, we would start screaming “OAT, OAT!!” meaning Operation Alien Takeover. If our room got invaded, we left and didn’t attend school that day. Our teacher got mad, but we told her to kick the other kids or lose us. We were lost.
One thing that I will always love about my friends of those years was how they could take things that most people considered dirty, nasty, or would be ashamed to admit, and brag about it. They could turn it into a game, or a passage of rights. Bragging rights.
John told us a story one day, one of our types of stories. He was talking about driving up to the mountains to snowboard. He went by himself, and told us how boring the ride was, how the car didn’t have heating, how shitty the weather was.
“it sucked. BUT, I got to jerk off in the woods!”
“Hell yea!!” said mike
“you stud” replied Connor
“shit man that’s great, what was it like?!?!” I asked

I didn’t tell the story though, because we now had a critic amongst us. But, the critic didn’t stop Marshall from bragging.

Like usual, we got quiet and looked at her. She talked to our teacher, told her about just getting out of rehab. She had just kicked a coke addiction or something extreme. Not weed or alcohol, so I consider it extreme. But she’s back now, yea! and she’s going to work and graduate!
The entire time I was watching this exchange she kept looking at me. Giving me these glances.
She left and I got thirsty, and I left our safe haven of a room and went for a soda. Of course, I was to be attacked by aliens. Anyways, onto poker. I'm officially gonna try playing poker again as a pro with a hefty sized br for nl50 with some play at nl100 but prob not till i have 4k or something. I've already cashed out enough money to live for a month or two and hopefully all goes well. I also won two seats to the sunday mil last week and played in the warmup and million. Finished about 70th in the warmup for 1.1k so that was nice. I'm up almost 1k already this month too from maybe 4k hands or something too, half of that is from nl100 though.
Anyways all in all, this is gonna be a big month in my life.

I know a guy who 8-10 tabled NL200FR for 10-12h a day for 1 whole month and he got #30th pace in that race some month ago >-<
so there is pretty much no chance for Nl50 newblers in that race.

7. as i look at VPIP i think im too tight, but i always start from high VPIP ( like 20+ ) and then after i play some hours it stars to lower, i think i can start to be bored or i start to read www and im not fully concentrated and i start fold pf when i'd normally raise, i have to work on that
just when i thought things were looking up. along comes today pretty sick again, i didn't tilt at all and really tried to look for that surge that comes along. i feel really bad about my run now at stars and im even entertaining the thought of leaving the site for the meantime. the past five days have been really swingy, but i never ended up losing up until today. today was:

*sets vs pair and gutshot idiot FE move on me then hits
*sets vs fd obv they get it like 100% of the time the pot is huge
*suckouts vs half stacked donks and missed ak aipf vs 1/3 stacked donks nonstop
*drunken allin shoves vs my kk qq with less than 80bb pf with no limpers flop a straight with garbage
*i try to fold bottom two at turn to a shove by two ppl on an unraised pot with fd and straight on board and then hit my 4 outer if i called
poker is wonderful. i just feel bad about the guy who staked me and want to end the stake already and play with my money from FTP to stars. supernova is still close but i think ill try to relax a bit and take it easy. T.T
played really well, maybe a couple of bad calls but i dont recall any big pots at all wihtout the goods.
