So I thought I would write a recap of the experience here at the LAPT!

The day before the tournament began PS held a welcome party of which I ended up not going cause I have a cousin here in Rio and me and my gf opted to go out to dinner with him and his wife. The next morning I met up with lp's own Pinball. The breakfast at the hotel is high class, the hotel itself rocks, its just a shame the weather is sucking ass. Got to chat a bit with pinball and he told me about his times on the previous night with peachy keen who is also in rio but not playing. Found pinball to be really cool and hope to be able to hang out more before leaving.

Anyways, game time arrives and we go to it!

My first table had like 2 guys who I found good and were directly on my left. On the fourth hand of the tourney I end up limping 66 in mp and 3 other join in. Flop is 56x and I front bet and one guy calls turn blanks and I bet close to pot and guy just calls, river blanks and I bet pot and he just calls and flips over 55... nit!

Vs this same guy I have later an interesting hand where utg limps and he raises in mp and I rr in lp with AK. The guy has like a bit less than 5k chips total. He thinks a bunch and flat calls pretty much pot committing himself and flop comes all low cards, he checks and I insta shove and he flips over QQ and fold... the dealer goes "wtf" in portuguese and we all laugh hehe.

So I get moved to another table, with about 16k chips, starting stacks was 10k, avg is like 11.5k so I am doing ok. My neighbor table has Humberto Brenes and very soon he gets in an all in spot and loses and the brazilian guy who eliminates keeps saying in portuguese "shark, where is the shark... sharky sharky" hehe. Anyways one of my very first hands in this new table is 1010, i raise in lp button flats and bb flats. Flop is 10QK with 2 clubs, bb checks i check btn bets 1500 in about 2k ish pot. BB thinks and calls and I rr to 6500, button folds and bb thinks for an hour before calling with A7 clubs, turn blanks and river boom club! Fag.

I get crippled to about 5kish and just continue grinding, stealing a few pots etc. I get back to about 8kish when ep guy limps and i raise AQo, a short stack with about 4.5k shoves all in and I call, he has AK and i suck. Back to about 4kish or so. A bit later I get 88 and shove on bb vs co raiser. He has Qks and I hold. Get back to about 8kish where again I start the grind.

At this moment at another neighboring table, moneymaker is in an all in spot and brazilian guy sucks out on river with a flush or something and all I hear is "suck it!" in portuguese and a lot of cheering (note: we, brazilians, are not bad manner but just extremely emotional!). Anyways I am back to about 13kish, avg is about 17k and another criticle hand emerges the guy who called with A7clubs earlier shoves all in as a short with like 8k chips or something and I call with AK on the bb. He shows K9 and starts shouting "one time", I quickly correct him in saying "not one, but two times" and I probably jinxed myself cause flop comes Kx9xx. Fag 2 times.

Anyways, I am crippled once again, and get moved to another table. I instantly shove AJ and get folded and an orbit later shove A9 and get called by one of the cl's who holds 1010, a guy by the name of Leo Bello who is quite famous here. Anyways, his 10's hold and the guy is very gentlemen-like getting up and shaking my hand and giving a comfort hug hehe.

All in all, was a fun experience, my first big live tournament. Today I plan on going site seeing with my gf and some friends. We probably gonna hit the statue of christ redeemer, dont really know the name in english and some other sites. And thats about it, thanks for reading .

First of all, I'd like to thank Python217 and gawdawaful for helping me out after my first day at NL200. I greatly appreciate it. I don't know why, but somehow I decided that in order to win at these stakes, I have to change my game, because ABC poker won't work anymore. Well, it's not true. There are lost of regs making moves at me, not even bothering to notice that I always have a hand, cause I'm a nit :D. Anyway, here are the results.

Doing well so far. Unfortunately, this sample is too small to infer anything. I'll post my results again after 20k hands at this level.

So the past 4 weeks or so, I've been constantly getting deep but never really all the way. Yesterday I managed to donk a 2nd place for $3.5k which was nice. Thanks alot fazi for helping me out (even though you fell asleep). Thanks to everyone else for the support too.


I managed to have probably the worst evening of my life. Some messed up stuff first that I dont want to go into. We took a cab from Malmö (in Sweden) over to Copenhagen (in Denmark), went to a nightclub there. I got pissed off one was fairly drunk so I decided to go back to Malmö. So I took a walk and somehow found the centralstation, I bought a package of ciggs and managed to loose my wallet, now I have 2 credit cards and 2 debit cards and basically my life in my wallet. So as soon as I notice that its gone I call a friend and ask him for all of the numbers so I can block my cards. Now, I'm alone at the train station with no money and no wallet. I somehow find $100 in my pocket, so I can pay for the train and the bus home, so the next train comes in like 30 mins, so I hop on and manage to fall asleep. I have this foreigner who is standing infront of me when I wake up in Malmö, im like wtf and proceed to get out. Then I remember, wait I didnt pay for the train (SHIP IT), I however look in my pocket for my money and it's not there anymore. So that guy stole money off of me. I however find like $10 in change for the bus, which is basically exactly what it costs. I take the bus home, and manage to wake up at the last station, the bus driver comes and wakes me up and asks me where I was supposed to get off, I tell him where, and he's like: "well I'm leaving in 20 mins so just fall asleep again". Suddenly he comes back and im like wtf? It turns out its been 30 minutes and Im at my bus stop. So I get off the bus and fall asleep in my bed at 10 am.

I wake up at 13am with 3 hours sleep feeling shit, and regretting the night before and everything I said to people, Im such a moron some times. So feeling like shit a friend asks if I wanna play cs, because they needed one more guy. So I'm like, im hungover and I dont really play any more but yeah ok. I end up playing fairly well for a change, and suddenly I get this phone call. So this danish guy found my wallet, and is like "dude your cards are safe, you can pick them up on monday". So im like, wow I run good. But all of my cards are blocked which is fucked up, and I was sort of pissed off because I really liked my wallet too (its a ralph lauren one).

So then fazi writes to me on msn wondering if I want to play any mtts, so I told him that yeah I'm going to play some. So he's like play the 300+22 6max in one hour and I'll stake you. I had slept like 3 hours and wasnt feeling very well, so I told him it would be -ev at this time. Some time goes and he's like there is a 100+9 starting in an hour, ill stake you if you want to play it. So I got itm, and shipped him back the 109.

Tonight was a great night, i started off playing NL200 HU and quickly moved up the limits til i found a good reg sitting at NL1k.

I managed to take 3 buyins off him before leaving

So i played really underolled and was going to quit if i lost 1 buy-in. luckily i ran fairly well and won a few bi @ NL1k which solidifies a NL200-NL400 roll for me.

I also have paid back nearly $2500 in debts in the last week, and hope to have all my debts cleared in the next couple days.

Alot of stuff happened this month and didn't get to play much poker, but i honestly think i'm going to play even less next month. I'm just so sick and tired of playing. I fucking hate it really. I can't win anymore and it's so pointless to keep playing. GOD

Nothing huge, just cashed out a bunch(need money) and I've had a few hiccups @ 100nl, namely a 3buyin loss today. I dont feel bad about it, 2 of them were definitely coolers, and the 3rd was probably 1/2 spew. Im leaving myself rolled for 100nl, just going to stick to 50nl for the next 25k hands I told myself. I have a very healthy winrate @ 50nl over a pretty large sample so I'm just going to stick to steady money for a while. I'm still way in the green @ 100nl, I just need to settle my head especially while I'm transitioning in real life too(semester ending, military incoming, etc).

i had a discussion with a friend of mine who's also staking me (dont ask, its just a way to help me be more creative and not too transparent and chickenshit at 100nl) he practically taught me the one thing i have missed out on for a year now. it's kinda opened my eyes, became less and less results oriented (which is very hard when ur at microstakes) and i think im playing the best ive ever played, without luck obv results arent as good, but i tried playing at pstars and ftp, i think i can crush most players now coz of this new found "thing" about poker. i managed to win today not only coz of the cards, but because i believe i played in a way that my opponents were thrown off with what i was doing. this is gonna be good. pls dont say "tracker stats or it didnt happen" lol. peace out.

now I KNOW i can be at 200nl by the end of may. if i reconsolidate my funds and just put them in stars after i get to supernova, which is a week from now, i think i can play poker very profitably again soon. bye.

note:
just sux that im liking the new FTP software that's out. fuck being rigged. im winning there too now.

Hello everyone!

My last blog entry was a whining post, if u read it. Well, i had the reasons for it Mayor downswing, bad plays, bad beats... U know how it goes. One thing leads to another. So i decided to take a break from poker. Well, it lasted longer than i thought...

I havnt played poker for almost a month till now. My exams kept me busy @ the university, i got a new girlfriend, and one of my beloved ones died... Plus, i didnt have internet @ home, cuz the fucking provider screwed me up big time. And i have been depressed too.

But now thats over, i have net again, and i'm more motivated than ever to play! I realised, that i'm far worse player than i thought after reviewing my play. My ego, yeah Also realized, that i dont enjoy fullring 12 tabling, so with a fresh start, i have switched to 6max, 4-6 tables. Why the fuck did not you say that it's that fun AND profitable?! :D I had my bankroll at 600$ 2 days ago, now its at 770. The graphs:

I had problems adjusting to the game again, and 6max is different than fullring I read a lot about 6max, i watched a LOT of videos, so i had a basic concept. As you can see, it went well

Ok, first of all: fuck these idiots! Calling everything with a gutshot or a FD /obv hits on the river/, calling with any2 vs AA pf allin /obv 2pair min/, and so on... I didnt count the bad beats, but this was brutal. I'm happy thou, i kept playing focused, didn't tilt /just a bit 1 time/, and managed to get an almost breakeven session.

i only had $100 on ftp from losing a mad amount of sngs so i was like fuck it, hu gogo

up 9 bis, i've lost a few BIs to (what appeared to be) good HU players but i won a lot from some tilty idiots

i'm almost at 600 now and i think i'm just gonna play nl25 now so i don't go broke now that i actually have a roll

so i decided to practice some HU

SO far i am down 6 buy ins on NL50 HU in my first session >-<
I decided to start HU for several reasons

edit now its only - 3 4/5 buy ins

1.) I am easily bored of 8tabling Nitring after like 2h and i think HU will motivate me to keep going.
So like i start the session with 2h 8tabling Nitring then i make a break and start 2h session 2tabling HU

2.) I am originally kinda agressive and i like agression
Fullring doesnt fit my natural desire ... HU is much more fun

3.) I ve seen some pretty good instructional videos on Nl50 - Nl200 HU recently and therefore i think i have a half way decent gameplan.

Although i am down a good amount i still feel like its major + EV when chosing the right villians.

My goals for may are:

- Make it over 1k BR.

- Have solid 5/100 winrate or more at Nl25

- Reach Gold star VIP status.


Overall i feel I'm improving a lot lately, and really starting to add more complex moves into my game rather then just playing ABC poker.

anyway, i found that my game has improved a bit since the "busto", but i still lack of patience and concentration, so after exams im gonna play on this fuckin level bit longer untill i get it right, or at least minimalize my fancy play syndrome, if i have to learn i will achieve the knowledge and skills with minimum $.

i also prepared this plan 10 bi in moving toward higher stakes, but will post it when i get time to play bit more
