So may has been pretty shitty, I failed taking shots at 25/50 and 50/100, notably AA vs KK Heads up on 50/100 and losing.... i was kind of angry then again i managed to build back up on 5/10, I still end up ~30k for the month.
I'll probably play 5/10 more than anything next month so i can pull a 50k+ month and I'll play the fishes at 10/20 as well. No graphs cuz well im on my laptop and i forgot a lot to open the program needed to record hands, so tons of hands missing anyway
I also have to admit i got really lazy and didn't play nearly as much as I used to... I'm definitely gonna put some more effort next month. Gonna visit loco for a few days, shud motivate us for long sessions!

Went broke yesterday, went and got a job, got depressed and drank way too much alcohol and couldn't even stand by the end of the night and STILL tried to get a girl to come home with me (pimp skills failed)
I play tournaments too but my stats are basically break even there lifetime. I might be up 1k or something. I feel I have a huge edge in MTT but I've never gotten a single big score in one and I've played thousands so I dunno.
Previous staking history you're gonna wanna know about: I've been staked probably more than anyone else on this site, most all of them went well except my very last one with lostaccount where I cashed out stake money. That was a mistake, I know, everything is good between me and him now though and all debts are cleared.
I'm willing to play like 8 hours a day right now so I think this could clear very quickly. A stake for nl25/nl50 would be most desireable but I'll play just about anything poker wise because I love the game.
My brother Tien (retired aka crackyoface) introduced me to poker in my first year of undergraduate studies 4 years ago and I've been playing on and off since then. I've always been able to destroy the games but my biggest leak is the occasional tilt session. I've quit poker before due to one bad week long session at 400nl-200nl where I spewed off 10k. I remember sitting there with 10k in my account and wondering if I should spread my roll against peachy at 5knl.
I've basically finished my Pure and Applied Math degree at the university of Waterloo. During my last semester 5 months ago I didn't really study much and played a ton of poker starting with a 2k roll at 200nl. I made 20k in January and then thought I was the greatest player and broke even in February while trying to outplay everyone. I no longer try to be the biggest lagtard at the table but instead focus on making the most money. I now play a low variance tag style with a much lower cbet percentage then before and I'm making very good money.
I'm going to use this blog to update life events as well as some poker results. I don't think I'll be posting any hand analysis because there's too many lurkers out there. Some of my plans are to supplement my income through coaching as well as create some training manuals with hand histories similar to harrington's book.
And nobody wish me luck...I don't believe in it. I have faith in one thing only: reason. Poker is a game of skill and I don't believe in bad runs because I've never had one. If I ever lose a couple of flips, I still think that my edge in non-showdown pots should make up for the losses. There will be no whining in this blog.
ignore title i didnt know what to name. Had a great run at 2nl today, instantly after writing yesterdays blog of pain my game exploded and I instantly started to rape shit up. I'm taking shots at 5nl at this moment, getting raped and if i lose another BI ill drop back down to 2nl. Heres are graph of 2nl since ive been staked:
and im not going to post much more as im busy with 5nl, but heres a hand from today that i believe i played terribly and would like other peoples thoughts on it:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456311 - villian was 25/5 over a smallish sample, I played this badly, i didnt think far enough ahead in this hand, i thought "omgz comb0nz drwaz im on a str8 w/ a flush fr33 money", when infact he could already have been on a flush, looks like he hit either an A or K flush on the river. I think i should have played this a lot slower, maybe half pot the turn as some form of blocking bet. But I dunno this is the trickiest hand ive played.
GL all and run good
P.S. my staker probably feels more comfortable now
May has by far been my best month in a very long time. I feel superconfident in my game and Ive been running good forever. Unfortunately I have been sick busy with everything in school. Alot of shit has been building up that I really need to do before the 4th of June. Today Ive taken a day off though, need to get drunk asap to relieve some stress and shit.
Im pumped about June , hopefully I will be able to play atleast 50k hands although I will be doing alot of other shit, including going snowboarding for a week in Norway(summer skiing fucking owns!)And maybe ship a trip to Vegas. I still havent decided if Im going or not.
things in poker have been pretty crazy for me lately, after being dormant for so long in the micro stakes things have really exploded and i've shot up a lot. i played alot this month, 60k hands which is the most i've ever played, and things worked out well.
so my summary stats of all the months up until now is pretty satisfying... poker really is about how much work you put into it i guess, since everyone runs good and bad in the long run.
my PT stats, maybe someone who plays FR will find these useful. also let me know/criticize anything u think could do with improving, i think my VPIP in SB might be questionable, not sure.
im staying aggressive with my move ups, so i'm taking my shots at NL200 and im going to keep on repeating a 3 bi shot as many times as it takes to become a permanent regular at NL200 FR games.
here is my graph of my shot at NL200, it was pretty boring so i edited it a bit to make it more appealing
as for the future, i really cant play much for the next couple of months as i have uni exams, and then work for a month, but i'll still play casually when i can. in coming months my aim is to immerse myself in the game and just jump into the tables at whatever stakes im rolled for, be in NL400, NL1k, anything i have 23 buyins for. even if there are 8 other better regs at the table, hopefully i will learn from my mistakes. so when if/when i ever hit 9.2k, NL400 here i come i have no issue with taking multiple 3 bi shots, as im really aiming for long term goals rather then short term atm, and i dont need the money to cash out for the time being.
watch this thai beer ad on your way out its great.
seriously if theres one thing you get from this blog, please watch this vid its fuken hilarious cheer!
Month started off just terrible terrible. Had about a 10k hand downswing at 50/100nl which i made most of back before moving back to my college town. Since I got here Ive been playing nothing but limit and the rare 200nl session to pull in a very comfortable profit to not have to work at all over the summer and just cruise on poker winnings.
Basically just a record for myself of what im doing but I guess some other people might be interested too.
I really haven't gotten too many hands in. I'm still just 6tabling. I will probably move up to 9tabling. Just getting back into the rhythum of things. Let me know if anyone wants me to post anything specific. Good luck everyone!
oh and encase anyone didn't see my last blog, I'm selling the Bose Ipod sounddock I got from PS the other day.
Gonna put it up on Ebay after this weekend if noone here wants it
I made a topic for this in Main but sadly it pwnt by the Mods. So ya I have $40-80 (fluctuates as I play lol) on FTP that I want to move onto Pokerstars. If anyone can help me out I'll appreciate it a lot.
Decided to stop May a bit early. It's been my first actual "solid" month in a while and I just like the stabilization. My results aren't as good but fwiw it comes out to like 5+ptbb/100 which I shouldn't complain about. For the rest of May I'm going to be playing SNG Steps to satellite into APPT Macau. These retarded turbo donk n goes might be the most tilting thing on the fucking planet but sigh gonna try to luckbox it (so far not working).
Overall extremely ridiculously swingy. 400nl is just really weird in that it's pretty high variance although I don't think there's a single ftp 400nl reg that I wouldn't sit with. I feel like I should be beating it for more, but the results just haven't been showing. It's a bit frustrating. Regardless, I'm ending sophomore college year in 1.5 weeks so I really, really need to be putting in more hands when I do. I'm trying to engrave the logic of if my hourly is really worth $150/hr (or whatever it is) at the tables, then I should just play irregardless of the circumstances because anytime I'm playing my A game, I'm theoretically making money (whether I do or not in that session doesn't matter).
GOAL setting time!
- 40k hands next month
- 5/10 NL full time by October 08.
Been playing a lot of Diablo 2 lately rofl, it's so fun jesus christ. I used to play a lot when I was in middle school and nowadays I play it as anti-tilt/stress relief, but I play it a bit TOO much I think. Being a internet poker balla now allows me to just buy good items instead of waste time with shitty items taking forever to kill things, then taking another forever to find better items for myself. I know, LOL buying video game items, but as a function of saving time and increasing fun, spending like 5 bucks on a really nice weapon is really worth it. Anyone else play D2 on USWest?
