I was robbed of £1500 ($3000) todayby Feiticeira, June 27
Outside the store I work at there's a cash point that recently has been used by theives to clone a number of different people's debit cards, I only found out this evening that I was one of them. They probably have taken small sums of money out of my account and I've simply not noticed, but yesterday afternoon I had £4,700 in my account and tonight I had only £3,200.
I just lost like 15 BI on nl50 over the last 3-4 days... Didnt tilted in any way, no monsterdraws hit, no TPTK held up against some donkish mid pair, set under set MASS stuff like that in the last days ~~
I seriously don't know what to do anymore.. I checked my play after the big downswing sessions and I didn't found any hands that I really played wrong
What could I do? I mean I am back at the roll I started cashgames with now.. around 400 bucks.. -.-
A mate staked me for some donkaments today so I was able to forget about the cashgames -.- daily fifteen grand-suckouts gtd. so I didnt made it to any itm ~~
Need advices, any fundamental stuff about 6max cash I didnt read yet? (i read loads also on 2+2 etc.)
I would like to stay at cashgames.. but I can't handle such big swings well. -.- not saying I start tilting but I kinda lose my self confidence altho i know im a winning player.. at least I thought I was =/
now that it's summer and I don't have anything else to do except work, I've been playing about 1k hands a day. I'm back at nl10, feeling good and hoping to be at nl25 within a month or so. don't think that's too lofty of a goal. been working 6am to 2:30pm on weekdays and 5am to 9am on weekends. I feel really pathetic going to bed at like 11 at the latest every night, but I'm making good money maintaining the golf course. anyway, I have a couple hands that I could use some advice on. figured I'd put them in here rather than flood the forums.
I never know what to do when I've been betting overpairs down multiple streets and then a higher card hits on the river. maybe I overplay them too much. + Show Spoiler +

Sorry, politics again guys. I'm busy with boring stuff lately (work mostly) and therefore have nothing exciting to post about. Only playing microstakes poker right now cause I don't wanna do anything too serious with poker at the moment. It's going just fine so nothing to post about there. This means that when I get a hankering for a post it ends up being something political that I come across that entertains me. Here's the latest:
WISCKOL: I'd like to ask you a couple questions suggested by voters here. They're not reporter-type questions.
McCAIN: Sure. It'd be a pleasure.
WISCKOL: When was the last time you pumped your own gas and how much did it cost?
McCAIN: Oh, I don't remember. Now there's Secret Service protection. But I've done it for many, many years. I don't recall and frankly, I don't see how it matters. I've had hundreds and hundreds of town hall meetings, many as short a time ago as yesterday. I communicate with the people and they communicate with me very effectively.
The writer goes on to make some points which made me laugh:
Okay. A few things here.
1) John McCain doesn't know what gas costs, because the Secret Service protects him from finding out, possibly because they're afraid the knowledge will kill him. Not a healthy man.
2) John McCain isn't an elitist or a big government bureaucrat. He's a maverick who has certainly pumped his own gas at some point in his life, perhaps during the single 18-month period when he wasn't in the navy or in congress, but was living off his wife.
3) It doesn't matter. How do we know it doesn't matter? Because John McCain says it doesn't matter.
4) John McCain may not know what gas costs or when he last pumped any, or performed any other act not connected to politics or outpatient care, but he's had hundreds of town hall meetings, many as short a time ago as yesterday. Which somehow answers questions about gas prices, but it's not clear exactly how.
5) John McCain communicates with people and they communicate with him very effectively.
.......
John McCain has spent the last three months -- since he floated his gas tax holiday -- pretending to care about the cost of driving. He should have had a slightly better answer than "I've had hundreds of town halls."
Or he could look out the window while driving to one of those town halls and check out what the billboards at the gas stations say, or watched the news...
Been here a few days now. It's pretty baller. I can't get into much detail but so far I've encountered fairly attractive and young female South African diamond dealers, had a bizarre interaction with a few playboy playmates at breakfast earlier morning, seen two meth addicts get pwned by cops on the strip, and played in one of the most hilarious live sessions of all time with Milkman, Yomer, this proper British fellow Simon and Big Bob. We turned a 2/5 table into a drinkfest with me and yomer splitting black/red flops and the other guys taking high/lows. Yomer got kind of owned. There were two noob ass nit regs running all over the casino telling their grinder choad friends what a soft table it was.
They got their wigs rocked more or less and we basically busted the table and it broke after a couple hours.
I'm heading to LA today with a few dudes for a movie premier, should be sick baller. I got some friends from home in the area so hopefully I can come into contact with them. This will be my first time on the pacific ocean so I'm really psyched. This is actually my first time west of the mississippi in general.
I was owning her on this night. I am up like 6 games to 2 over 30 min of play.
First notable hand. Blinds 1/2, her stack ~140 I covered
She standard raised to 7 I flatted with KK in the BB.
Flop KQ5 (lol), I literally laughed out loud and checked. She checked behind.
Turn 8 didn't complete flush, I lead 10 she raised I insta-shoved she instant-called.
"What do you have" I asked
She flipped over an 8.
I flipped over one K.
"I've got 2 8s" She confidently flipped over the other 8 for a set
I faked a frown and then dispiritedly flipped over my other K
River was Q. I burst into laughter and then got physically abused
Next notable hand I was dealt Tc2s in the SB, 1st hand of a new match, blinds 1/2, stacks 160 I completed she standard-raised to 7 I called.
Flop A74 rainbow. She c-bet 10 I float-called.
Turn 4 completing the rainbow. She bet 15 I raised to 40 she called.
River J, she open shoved I snap-called
"What the hell do you have?"
"Nothing. 10-high~" I flipped my hand over.
"Why do you call then? Obviously you lose~"
And then she mucked my hand, and then sheepishly mucked her own hand face down!?
"Hang on" I said, as I quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her 6d5d out of the muck.
Owned.
And then the very next and final hand of the night she got dealt KK and pushed into my AA preflop.
Just fucked myself so badby piratematerial, June 27
typed up a long ass post and then clicked post message while not having put in any title. this happens to me a lot. is it possible to implement some feature so i get my text back when i click back..
I am just bumping my last blog where I was looking for a stake.
I can add on some stuffs. School year just ended, I had some Cuba Libres and beers, and I am ready to play. I would like to start as much as possible. I am still looking to start again on stake at micro limits, literally NL2/5/10/25
Thanks for the answer, hkbubbletea, about the stats and so on. I was using just some free PT to know my stats (VPIP and PFR), and never used PAhud, and that was one of my leaks, because I was just multitabling, and had just few reads and couldn't play on player, because I had no stats programs. I am planning to have PT3 trial for the start and then purchase it maybe.
I am better player on 6max, and my strategy on FR was the same as on six max, and that's the reason why I suck at FR. I was still playing some 21/15 on FR as I played on 6max and you know that it's -EV.
Now I am ready to play and do everything to improve my game and be successful. I hope someone will answer me and I will find something good
fuck fuck fuck fuck why for fucks fucking sake do all the fucking bad beats have to happen in all the fucking tables that im fucking deep fuck you, you big fuccking IDIOT not raising AA preflop and getting a RUNNER RUNNER FLUSH YOU BIG FUCKING IDIOT you stole ALL my today winnigs adsofbasfddsa FUCK YOU ALL STUPID FUTURE READING SHORTSTACKS.
I had 20k hands winning at 4+ptbb and now im at 1.95 FUCKING POKER HELL FUCKING FULLTILT RIGGED
So I played the $5,000 NLHE 6-max tournament today and was really pumped since it was the first event I played in over a week (being gone to Mexico / back to Bay Area for the past few days). I land at a fairly unknown table and quickly realize that I struck gold with my table draw. There was a retard playing every single pot and staring people down like he was da man. There was an old guy who was limping a ton and minraising a lot, and doing very random bluffs with small sized bets. Joe Beevers from The Hendon Mob was at my table (more on this epic failure in a bit). The only somewhat competent player at my starting table was a european kid to my right who seemed to be fairly solid / aggro.
So I chip up to 16k pretty easily, mostly from value towning the retard who was playing every single pot. Then I pick up KK UTG, and I swear I haven't done this play in the longest freaking time because its sooo transparent, but at this table I felt like I could pull it off. I limped in from UTG, the kid playing every single pot makes it 400 to go (with 5k behind), Joe Beevers flat calls (with 5k behind), small blind calls. When action got back around to me I obv bomb'd it to 2,000. I get called in 3 places!?!?!?! Is this really the $5k 6-max event? R U SRS? So the flop comes down Tc-9d-7c, and I put both the retard & Joe Beevers all-in for their remaining 4k. The retard tanks for a little bit then calls with A9o. Joe Beevers insta-ships it in with 9c8c, and obv binks his suck out on the turn. Uggg, whatever shit happens, that knocks me back to 11k. Then Joe Beevers says something dumb like "I only called because that guy called." to which point my head almost assploded caz the retard didn't realize he just called off 1/3 of his fucking stack preflop with 98!?! But obv I keep my mouth shut. God live pros are so dumb sometimes
I come back from break and play an interesting hand vs the competent aggro guy to my right, where we both flopped top pair in a blind vs blind situation but he had me out kicked, (my QJ vs his KQ on a Q-8-3 board) and took me to value town when the board ran out really weird. That put me down to 7k, I proceeded to chip back up to 10k before losing yet another pot to the exact same guy when he raised my blind with 98, I defended with Q8. The flop came Q-T-5 and he checked, and I decided to check behind. Turn came a J, he fired 1/2 pot I called. River came a 4 he fired 3/4 pot and I snap called only to see him have the winner again. It was really frustrating. That knocks me back down to 6k. I dropped all the way down to 3100 before doubling up with A3 vs KQ. I get back up to 7k at 200/400 level, then I flop top pair in yet another blind vs blind situation and check-shove right into two pair, so GG my tournament.
Tomorrow is the $2k NLHE, so I'm going to practice my guitar then sleep early for it. This entire series is getting pretty frustrating. Tomorrow = Serious Business.

3rd WSOP event played updateby thewh00sel, June 26
Well, I played the 5k 6 handed today. It got 800 entrants and I busted around 200th when someone opened and I shoved 20BB's with AJ and the BB randomly woke up with AK to knock me out. I met a couple of LP's finest (cosmo, lyric, rekrul), and everyone seemed nice even though I didn't talk to them long. Maybe i'll get to know some of them better before the wsop ends. Anyways, I have yet to even make a Day 2, lol, even though I feel like I'm playing my A Game. Oh well.
Guess my month is still +6k even though I've played about 13k in WSOP events, so all is well. Time for bed.
So I was winning money for awhile at poker and stuff, then I just stopped winning money, how do my stats look and will someone please help me stop losing?:-P
So far, I've watched three CR videos, two by AaronBeen and one by JSchnett. They're very informative, and I have a much better idea of how to play rebuys now. I'm eager to try the $3R, to be honest, because I find rebuys provide for much less volatility since you usually go in with a solid starting stack.
I've also read half of the HoH1 and half of HoH2. So far, it's mostly review, and I'm going to try to look for more mid/late-game oriented advice, since the hand analysis for the early stages, though excellent, is not what needs most improving. I'm playing with massive donks, and I don't really feel intimidated by their turn/river play.
While reading HoH, though, I came across a very well-analysed situation. It is on p.130 of V1.
Example No. 2: It's the second day of the WSOP. You've managed to double up to 20k. Your table has one player with a stack larger than yours, 26k. All other stacks are between 5k and 15k. Blinds are 150/300/25, so initial pot is 700.
You are dealt UTG
You 4x BB to 1200; the bigstack w/ 26k calls in 5th position (CO). Everyone else folds.
Flop:
You bet 3,000, and villain shoves. What's your action?
Harrington goes on to analyse the hand very well. If anyone would want to provide their thoughts on the hand, please do so in comments. I'll post Harrington's 4-5 page answer (condensed) in the next post.
On to other things. I have to say I've been running disgustingly... I've not cashed in any of the tourneys I've played so far (about 20). Getting pretty annoying, especially given I'm always ahead.
I do believe tournaments are psychologically tougher than cash games. The way things are going, July is shaping up to be a rape of a month. As a consolation, though, every time I get knocked out I can say, "lol, donkaments."
First drop was JJ vs fish that got it in with AQ on 234 flop and turned a Q
Then the second was the same guy KK vs AK
The other 3 buyins I lost was AK vs QQ/KK/AA
