So today is a turnaround. I'm not going to settle for losing at these stakes (NL fucking TEN). I have 6 weeks to make 40 buyins at this level. That's about 40k hands. That's about 5ptbb/100 and that's my goal.

So last few months of poker have been kind of sucky, not because of results, but because of my inability to put in hands. Working full time is killing my poker Anyway this is a general update of how I'm progressing. I'm about to take a 50NL shot, so hopefully that goes smoothly! Btw I went for the random black dude (see below post)
Tommy Angelo's book (Elements of Poker) arrived yesterday and I'm already 1/3 through it, so far it's REALLY, REALLY good, definitely has the best content I've read as far as controlling emotions/tilt/A-game goes
Also it's really good that I have a job, I've been buying assloads of clothes, cologne etc for myself which is kind of unnecessary but I deserve it since I worked for it Spent a fair bit on girlfriend since I got a job, I'm taking her down the beach for a weekend in about 6 weeks, have this really nice spa/balcony room booked which should be great.
It's my birthday on Tuesday, got the week off work, going to just pretty much get smashed all week, will kind of be like reliving schoolies(I hope, for you non-Australians, schoolies is pretty much a week-long spring break for people finishing high school). Also on the weekend after my birthday I'm going down to the casino for the first time, should be pretty fun! :D:D:D Can't wait for this week, gonna be great.

I didnt play as much 2/4 as I had planned to before jumping back on 3/6. Reason is I dropped like 15 buyins of 2/4 over a few days and then I just picked my game up and won all of it back + more so I felt I had confidence, momentum and bankroll enough to destroy the 3/6 weekend games cause they are usually soft. Yesterday I played some real retards, I played this complete degenerate who actually was up like 2,2k on me but I eventually busted him with this being the key hand:
Sweet stuff. I finally got the new power cord for my dell xps so I uploaded all my hands for July into pokertracker. Now I was expecting I was about break even for the month but it turns out Ive mainly been playing bad and havent really lost a ton so Im still up 12k. Heh, so weird Ive cashed out way to much way to frequently to have any idea how im doing for the month.
Sweet! Im gonna grind 3/6 for the rest of July and proably for most of august but I might start to take some shots at the 5/10 games on the weekends again.
Yeah, so I just got done with my worst session of omaha ever. I played my good A game, didn't make any huge mistakes... -10bi @ 50PLO 6m. I don't understand how I can lose 10/10 (or more) all ins where I'm 66% favorite. I mean, I know the game is swingy... I just don't understand how it can be ALL downwards. :/
I've been playing poker for half a year now, thats a lonnnnnng time, anyway I've been running really well this month after a TRAGIC June so I feel like making a fairly EPIC blog post with some Brags, some Beats and some Variance.
Anyways lets start with the traditional "Graphs or it didn't happen".
During this month I've also won, wait for it dun dun dun dun dun dun a HORSE EVENT LOLLLL (First time playing each game OBV & First MTT donkument win EVER) with like 1XX players i think for 864 And then came third in a NLE event for 428.3 they were like 33$ and 22$ events that I was just donking it up in so I couldn't be bothered getting screenies =D But it DID HAPPEN!!!
Other than playing online poker I also donked out in WSOP ME @ Vegas (see earlier blog post), so after such a mass fail I felt sad and went on shopping splurge and acquired the NECCESSITY for all Ballin Ballers, a 30inch Monitor, a WII + Guitar hero 3 amongst some other games. Right now I'm feeling really good about Poker, Life and everything in general, I run goot.

So im in las vegas proper ballin' with my twin room shared with my 16 year old brother. Its alrite tho, dad paid for flight+room and all food etc comped by dad gG.
Went 6 hours clothes shoppin today got like loads of shizzle was fuckin safe, got some rental crystler (sp?) its pretty nice.
Gunna check out the strip myth says theres good 1/2 and 1/3 at the venetian/wynn so gunna try them out, my brothers got a fake i.d which is actually sick good, hes quite fat too so i reckon he cud get away with 21. We'll see anyway.
Sick if it works, i taught him the basics of poker and he crushes like 0.02/0.05, bet hes got an edge on some of the live games here even.
Been doing some research and havent found anything besides what an LP member told me and sick interested in the idea of being able to play for 10+ hours straight instead of losing focus after 30 minutes

anyway, i returned from my accident on june 1 on monday july 7 with something like $350 so i feel like ive done great so far but perhaps it has been a good run of cards as well.
extremely notable is that i was doing shitty shitty shitty in nl25 for 18k hands of 12-15tabling and then i switched abruptly to 4 tables, pointed out on my graph, and it was probably a bit of luck and a bit of higher concentration that got me to where i wanted to be
at one point today i more or less snapfolded AA correctly which felt great, i think it was a way easier fold because there was a donkey lowstack in the pot so i knew i would see the cards either way

Well, 38% w$wsf looks prettier than 32 certainly, but once again might be variance, will take a while before I can tell if I'm doing any better. Where in PTO can I see my cbet stat? Would be interested in knowing, feel like I'm getting c/red a fair bit. I'm gonna try to do a lot of PT review (perhaps I need to wait until my sample is little bigger tho), to try to find a good range for BB defence and SB completion and just general ranges from the various positions. I've never really approached poker this way (always been a "play play play, learn from experience" type, with CR videos, forums, chatting to good players etc mixed in) but gonna give it a try, I know there's a couple of topics on 2p2 about PT review so I'm gonna spend some time reading those.
I also want to try to analyze some of the regs in the games, which - again - is something I haven't really done before (silly). Nothing too interesting here I guess, I really like omaha and I'm looking forward to really learning how to play it
I got on a couple of really good high stakes tables and people really, really tried to give me their money. Unfortunately the deck wouldn't cooperate so the didn't have much success and I ended the day down about 4k€. I think I lost like a buyin with TT vs QQ in a squeeze situation that I should probably gotten away from and then I payed of some dude with a gutshot nutsstraight vs a runner runner nut flush for 150bb at 10/20 which also was debatable but other then that I think I played it pretty good. I only play high stakes when the tables are really good too so I guess so whatever, I've been running really good for like a month and a half so I can take a day when everything goes wrong, I'm cool with that. Might make me a bit more happy to grind out mid stakes also, which I've kinda not have had the motivation for while I've been on this huge heater.
Really can't complain about that. I should play more hands and all that but other than that I'm superhappy with my results and outside of poker I've got a lot of things done this month. I'll move all my stuff from the old apartment to the new one on Monday and it'll be really great. I'll see a lot of friends I haven't seen in like 6 weeks which will be great and when I'm done with the moving stuff and cleaning the old apartment everything ready and all I'll have to do when I get down there to move in during mid august is to set up my computer and buy a shitload of booze for the moving in party. The really great thing is that my roommate (best roommate ever!) will move in at once so she'll probably decorate a bit and such before me and my main man will move in. I'll teach him to win monies at poker and then he too can be as awesome as me. Just kidding, but it'd be fun as hell to live with someone who might be playing like 1/2 a year from now or so. Overall I'm pretty super excited about this.
Also, I made a new bank account because I had some issues with the last one and I wasn't comfortable having large sums of money on it and when I tried to cash out the security team of the poker site I play on noticed that it was a new account and had me send in various stuff to confirm that it was really me, and I felt that they somehow probably would fuck something up and that I'd have to work my ass off to fix it but apparently everything worked out smoothly and everything got approved. Haven't got my money yet but they should come during the middle of next week if they have the normal time schedule. The "annoying" thing is that I decided to hedge against Murphy's law and told my friend that I'd buy champagne for 500€ to our moving in party if everything worked out smoothly. So unless there's some gay fuck up during the next 4 or 5 days I'll guess I'll have to figure out what's good at "systembolaget". Advice someone?
I'll also start coaching two micro grinders who live pretty close by which will hopefully prove to be a good experience and I'll might do some really basic micro stakes videos and stuff that I might post here if they turn out well.

decided that when i was 16 (shhhhh your not allowed to play at 16 tehhe,ps if you wana know why il tell ya) i used to have the best runs playing 20 sit and go's. made roughly 3000 dollars and cashed up and left online for a year or so. Now at the age of 20 i have abandoneed them and always faired well in mtt's but played ring games, oh my the ring games.... i will be honest i think im break even from being rougly 5k up 3 years ago maybe 2k under, somewhere inbetween. no heater. but playing optimally for a week now, stat wise and just plain playing better. first couple days was swingy coz i got tilted to be seeing just 12 tables lol, after i cut down even further to 8, i started making better decisions and less spewy for some reason. i miss nitbotting a lot but i guess fpps are really just a bonus, so i wont be whoring them anymore for the sake of getting them without playing my a game. im getting closer to breaking even the stake i got from jay and im quite happy that there's a possibility that I can even make a little money for him come end of the stake. i plan to stay at 100nl atm but when i get more consistent, im probably moving up to 200nl when i redep my whole roll here(after the whole stake agreement is over) and just 8 table that and see if i still run better at 200nl. now i dont need heaters to get a decent winrate lol. im happy and enjoy ur weekend guys peace.
