NL25
  NeillyJQ, Jun 27 2007

What a fun day of NL25 today was. So I started out playing very fast on NL25 and well, it was definately not panning out at all. I was down about 6 BI's after two hours, and buckled down and started playing my absolute best poker.

Before I knew it, I started running better and picking my spots very carefully. Being down as much as I was, my focus was extremely intense as well as my intuition.

I managed to win back the 6 BI's I lost and two more on top, to finish the morning off on a great note.

Here are my stats from todays session:

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 6336 hands and saw flop:
- 462 out of 871 times while in big blind (53%)
- 236 out of 844 times while in small blind (27%)
- 703 out of 4621 times in other positions (15%)
- a total of 1401 out of 6336 (22%)
Pots won at showdown - 162 of 326 (49%)
Pots won without showdown - 842

I'd go through analysis of the hands, but after 18 hours of playing *6 hrs of tournaments and 10 hrs of cash with a few small breaks* my mind is just too spent to give the hands appropriate analysation.

Lets just say that I was making some careless mistakes in the beginning, revamped my mind and started playing my A game. I REFUSED to quit before I got above my even point, and did just that, and managed to pull a nice profit on top of it.

Tomorrow I will post alot of analysis of todays hands before my new session begins.

I also got to get alot of FPP's that were very much needed. I'm getting closer to supernova everyday, I can't wait.

Best of Luck To all of LP on the tables!

DONKAMENT DAY~ Weeeeeeee~~~
  NeillyJQ, Jun 26 2007

So I woke up today and felt like doing something different. Cash has been going very well, but I was in the mood for a change so I hit up the donkament circuit. I started with the 5R which I placed 366th in for a small chunk of change, then didn't place in like 10 of the $4 180 man SnG's. After that, I joined 10 more. Before I knew it I had FT'd 3 of them, getting 3rd in 2 of them. Lost KK vs A3, AK vs KJ, and something else I can't remember. Frustration really set in and I was on a rampage. So I joined one last one for the night, Ran up a 20k stack in about 5 minutes and have been the chipleader the whole way. Theres like 20 left, lets see if I can take first in this one.

(update) - I finished 11th in this one, losing AQ vs QQ (the guy lost 1/2 his stack the hand before this, I put his range on 77-AA, JQs-AK) figured I had to call. Obviously I didn't spike my ace like they always do to me. Oh well...

Other than that, I'll probably be playin cash tables later tonight if I still have the energy. I don't think I'm going to anayalze the NL25 hands from last night, but lets just say they were really juicy. I tried to take any spewy plays out and played extremely solid. I was still raising sooted hands from everywhere and squeezing with pocket pairs everywhere. Before I knew it, I was up 5BI's and called it a night. Today I'm up about $150, and still have this final table to play (im currently on the 5 minute break). Hopefully I can take this down and have a sexy profit for tonight. Either way, its been a fun day. I think I'm gonna spend a couple days a week doing these tournaments and 3-4 days a week doing cash games. I'm definately consider myself better at cash, but probably only feel that way since I'm always getting sucked out on in these donkaments.

Guess that goes without saying when you always go in with the best hand..lol

Best of Luck to everyone,
Ryan (DReaMe)

PS - Tournament days dont give shit for FPP's, f*king gay!

25%
  NeillyJQ, Jun 25 2007

After sitting in today, I started picking on pretty much every weak player I saw. Before I knew it, I was running at 25% agaaaaain. (Which I'm starting to love actually, since I get paid on every single high pp and strong ace I hit) I ran a million bluffs into anyone I considered to be nitty and played from my gut all day. Finished the day up 6Bi's, but threw 3bi's away in tournament entry fees. Oh well, still a nice winning day, I can't complain.

Heres my stats from today; (this includes 1,300 hands from NL25 that I did not analyze yet, I will post those key hands tomorrow)

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 2642 hands and saw flop:
- 204 out of 356 times while in big blind (57%)
- 145 out of 360 times while in small blind (40%)
- 326 out of 1926 times in other positions (16%)
- a total of 675 out of 2642 (25%)
Pots won at showdown - 89 of 154 (57%)
Pots won without showdown - 380

I'm really loving this lag style, it makes me not care at all about anything except finding a way to win every possible hand.

Playing with 45 BI's is so comfortable, I've been putting everyone to a test every opportunity I can, raising strong sooted hands from everywhere (as long as the limpers infront have atleast a full buy-in),and outplaying the weak competetion on NL10-NL25.

I also played in some of the $216 tournament ticket tournaments today, and got extremely unlucky. I got a random donk to shove allin on a 558 flop with A7, I had J8. There were 5 remaining and I was 3rd in chips, if he didn't hit his 14% shot I would have definately won the $216. Turn was an A and gg..w/e. I want him to do that.

I'll post a few key hands from today here;

Best hand of the day by far:
vs Carlos Loos and Plazon - Since all the players in the hand were sitting so deep I flat the bet oop with a strong sooted connector, figuring I can get paid hard if I hit this hand. Carlos leads the flop real cheap, I put him on a FD, maybe with a gutterball. Plazon pops it up to almost a PSB. I think for 30 seconds and 3bet him. To my suprise, both players call? Turn blanks and its time to ship the rest of my stack into the pot. Again, extremely suprised, both players instantly call. As I think "no diamond dont pair the board, no diamond dont pair the board, no diamond dont pair the board), it does just that and I rake in a massive pot for NL10.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218453

Here's a key hand from one of the $4 180 man SnG's I had today, I was in 10th in chips with 80 to go. made me puke
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218530

At the FT of the $216 ticket tournament, the hand before I busted. I never saved the J8 vs A7 hand, was pissed and closed it. I can't really call this, but if I did, I would have been sittin real pretty.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218524

vs dubfive - I was raising fairly often from MP, and was extremely confident I would have been reraised from an AJ-AK. That being said, I put his flop call on a medium PP. 44-99. No reason to give up since his hand is defined so well.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218488

vs skull222 - There were a few limpers, then an extremely weak raise. I was given extremely good odds to call PF with my sooted garbage so I jumped. Flopped two pair, led out. Figured the villian for a FD at this point, so I bet 1/2 pot on turn to suck him in. To my suprise he shoves overthetop when I'm sitting there with the preverbial nuts.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218476

vs Colnago & MastaBlasta4 - I'm just flat out not folding this to shorties on NL10.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218471

vs golfnoodle1 - This hand made me think of the conversation that was taking place in the high stakes forum about the TJ2 flop, where AK led out and got shoved allin. After stoving they came up with the AK was nearly 45%. I would have normally folded this before reading that.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218470

Too bad there wasn't more ppl in this pot
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218462

vs SouthernBust - Southernbust raises out of the SB behind multiple limpers which screams JJ-AA. I call to flop a set, and do just that. From there I 3 bet him on the flop, and well, no NL10 players fold the overpair here.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218457

vs crajun - shorthanded table so I raise KTs UTG. Pick up a caller in the BB. Got minreraised on the flop and was kinda scared of a set, but for only 1 BI I'm gonna call to see the turn with my 3 flush and two pair possibilities. Turn hits my two pair with the ten. Villian leads out less than 1/2 pot bet, which makes me reaaaally think he has 77 or 88, but like I said, its 1 BI and its NL10. I ship it in and get paid.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218455

vs Oldnailman - I check my set knowing someone has to bet this board no matter what. Nailman comes out firing, at this point I put him on AK, and figure the best way to get paid is to overbet the pot and represent TJh or a strong drawing hand similar to it. He buys into my 4 bet, and from there its payday.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218452

vs Kobern and Iknowbenzz - This was my first large pot of the day, and well, was frustrating as heck. I pop my nines up behind a limper to isolate. Pick up two callers and flop my dream flop. Open ender & FD on board vs my set. I'm thinking im gold here, and 5bet the initial raiser attempting to stack someone on top two or even a strong ace. Also to make the FD pay maximum price to try to draw out on me. To my suprise I get shoved back. All I can think is he has a huge multidraw or top two. WRONG.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218451

Was a fun session, I enjoyed it very much. I should have finished up way more but like I said, I played too many of the $4 SnG's and didn't cash in any of them. Busted 20th in one, had 88 UTG with a 2500 stack at 300/600, had to shove it. Was called by AQ and he hit two pair to take me out.

I'm 29,542 VPP away from Supernova, boy will that be a welcome day! I can taste the fat bonuses now ;-)

GL to everyone, please critique any leaks you see, thanks.

NL25
  NeillyJQ, Jun 25 2007

Well, tonight was freakin awesome

I sat down and grinded NL10 for a few hrs during the day today, then realized NL10 just sucks. (won 7bi in 3 hrs)

So I opened 12 tables of NL25 and got my ass kicked for 5 minutes. I was like, wtf am I doing? Had a drink and started tryin hard.

So, now I can start playing seriously and pwning my way back up the limits like I intended. I started the session out playing really lag on NL10 since the players were playing so weak and believing pretty much every bluff I made.

During this insane LAG session I created (pretty much started for shits n giggles, but was working so well I never stopped) my stats were like this:

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 3215 hands and saw flop:
- 274 out of 475 times while in big blind (57%)
- 168 out of 453 times while in small blind (37%)
- 385 out of 2287 times in other positions (16%)
- a total of 827 out of 3215 (25%)
Pots won at showdown - 89 of 190 (46%)
Pots won without showdown - 505

My normal stats while playing TAG hangs between 14-16% pots seen, 40-55% won, and 2/1 ratio of pots won without showdown, not 2.5/1

I'd like to also mention I won 2 pots w/ 27os today, and 1 pot with 24os (all hands I would never play in my life). This brought on such a sense of accomplishment which I think made my reads extremely prestine, which is why I was able to execute this style without flaw.

Theres really no great hand analysis for tonight, since most of it was me building a huge lag image, then shoving everytime I hit a monster;

Here are a few of the hands I played;

vs shockwave52 - I was opening a ridiculous amount of hands at this table and had no respect. Too bad I kept flopping like this lol
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218040

vs ALHARROUK - This hand played itself out. I figure with an OESD & FD on board I could sell a monster draw with this play. Suprise, it worked
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218039

vs Detonate - I planned to win with this hand PF no matter what. with all the draws that came out on the turn, I figured it was a great time to represent a J9/JQish hand and get a bet out there. Then boom, GIN! SHIP SHIP
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218038

vs infamous - I had an EXTREMELY lag image at this table, and had pushed alot of draws. I figure with a FD out there why not just shove and see if I could get paid by a weaker king or PP 88-QQ. Worked again, oh yeah
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218034

vs kpmaxpo - another instance of my image, I was getting no respect with my raises (with good reason, I was raising any two where I felt I could outplay the villian/outflop the villian/get paid off by the villian.) He snap called me in like 2 seconds only to see his JJ go into the muck faster than his stack disapeared.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218032

vs Dupli Lav - LOL....IDK what the heck this guy was thinking..purely my image getting me paid here.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218031

vs option85 - I flat in MP with my sevens intending to set up. Miss that but hit a 3 straight on the flop, and still not sure if hes cont betting or with an overpair, I peel one off for his cheap price. Turn brings me an ISD with my pair, as well as my set odds, and a flushdraw I can represent on the river if it makes it. He donks out a blockerbet on the river, BLOCK THIS. nanana
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218030

24os 4TW
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218025

this hand was fun to be a part of
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218021

vs hobbithunter - same ol story
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218019

vs Corina432 - I had just finished telling the table how I'm wasted and just havin fun. That totally made the this $25.
I wouldn't have made $1 if I never said that. I tried to make my bets look "tricky" since I said that, hoping he would pay me off. Couldn't believe it when I saw how lightly he called me down, oh well, free monies, weeee

NL10
  NeillyJQ, Jun 24 2007

After restarting online poker, I've found a new found pride for being an online player opposed to being a live player.

Been running well and playing my best on NL10, and hope to be on NL25 tomorrow~

Not too many interesting hands played today, mostly just me flopping monsters and getting paid (NL10 anyone? =))

Quitting smoking pot has really helped my game, I must admit.

Casino Trip / Life
  NeillyJQ, Jun 23 2007

First off, let me state how much more I prefer online poker than live now, it had been a couple months, but now its blatently obvious how much better online is than live. Having the chance to play 800-1200 hands per hour is just so much better for learning and winning.

Heres my first days stats back online too, my session didn't last long because it was very late when I arrived back home;

NL10 - was running fairly good, can't believe I played 21% though lol, I'm usually 15-17%, but small sample size
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 1039 hands and saw flop:
- 80 out of 144 times while in big blind (55%)
- 38 out of 144 times while in small blind (26%)
- 103 out of 751 times in other positions (13%)
- a total of 221 out of 1039 (21%)
Pots won at showdown - 26 of 50 (52%)
Pots won without showdown - 113

went 1/1 FTbling the $4 180 man SnG today, had chiplead for a while...we grinded final 3 for an hour and I busted QK vs A2, followed by AQ vs K5 (Ryan Daut anyone?) ^^
That being said, heres how my trip went;

Day one was pretty fun, the night started off slow, and ended pretty fast after a couple key hands.

on 1/2
Hand one, two players limp in MP, and I raise KJos on the button, pick up two callers, one in the sb, other in MP.

Flop comes out TJ2, MP fires out 15, I shove for 80. SB goes allin, MP calls. The MP player was one of the only players at the table that I gave respect too, the rest of the table was extremely lag & trying to get lucky on every hand. So the SB flips Q9s, for an open ender, MP flips QKs for the other open ender. Turn blanks and river hits an 8 to send me to the cashier for more chips. I decide to get away from this game and try out the 2/5 dynamic.

2/5
After I sit in for a few minutes, I notice most of the table is drunk and playing pretty LAG.
Key hand #2 -
Button comes out firin 15 to open the pot, my initial instinct is he's just buildin a pot on a strong drawing hand, so I pop it to 60 with my AA from the SB. He instantly calls me, flop comes KT7, I check trying to set up a trap, hoping he will push me in with AK. He checks behind. Turn is a 6, bringing out a flush draw. I drop a PSB out n he folds. After this, I sit for another 30-40 minutes card dead and leave since I got there at 2am and planned on playing all day friday.

Friday comes, I get to the casino as fast as I can after I wake up, only to get totally annihialted in the 1/2 game.
Pretty much went like this - no matter what the odds were, I was sucked out on. I've pretty much blocked this day out of my psyche since the beats were so brutal. I was carddead for a good few hours before getting stacked KK vs AJ, and JJ on a 89Th flop, I had the Jh. Villian had QQ w/ the Qh. whoops? ;-)

Day 3 was really fun.
I came in, sat 1/2 to get warmed up.

First hand of the night I pick up a T6s in the SB, complete and here we go. Flop comes AAk, checks around. right now the pots small, but still worth winning. Turn brings another King, the button fires out 12, I flat with a flush draw I picked up on the turn and fire a 1/2 psb on the river to take it down. His play was a very transparent steal.

A few hands later, a lag girl on the button opens the pot for 12. She had raised 6 of the past 15-18 pots, and right before this hand was dealt, I say to her, "thats a wide raising range you got." I look down and see TT in the SB. I repop to 40. She thinks for a minute or two and shoves..At this point I had no read really, other than she was raising a ton and never getting called. I think for a few minutes and flat like a retard and watch her flip AA. I miss a gutterball and I'm down more, yah!

After this, I pick up QQ in the SB after a MP guy comes out for 12 (the standard opening raise at the table). I pop to 40 again, he thinks for a minute, and shoves. At this point, I have to admit I was steaming from the TT vs AA, and make a retarded call. (After thinking about it, the only hands this guy is shoving is KK/AA/AK..well, he flips over AKo, A comes in the door and I'm out.

Ended up losing a cool 550 during the trip, but had alot of learning experiences. I wasn't giving the players at the 1/2 close to enough respect during the games, and got crushed for doing so. This is my first losing trip to the casino in my last 5-6 trips, so its all good. Was averaging $600-$2,500 per trip, so just kinda gave one of the smaller winning trips back to the playas.

Had thought alot about what I'm going to be doing in my near future with poker, and came to the decision that I'll stay in my house in Pittsburgh during the remainder of my lease (til august 28th), then move to vegas to deal and play. I'll be working part-time here in Pittsburgh while grinding pokerstars and hopefully continuing my learning experiences day in and day out, so I'll be ready for Vegas.

Lost, but had fun, got to see alot of my family and some friends from back home, and got to learn some things about myself that I don't really care to post, but I'll just say it was a very important trip.

So be expecting to see alot from me and my online hands in the future, I hope to grind my way back up the limits like I did before, hopefully this time with more success and better BR management.

GL & HF everyone,
DReaMe (Ryan)

What do you think?
  NeillyJQ, Jun 20 2007

I've been seriously considering moving to vegas and dealing at a casino 40-60 hours a week while playing part time on the weekends (Friday and Saturday nights seem most lucrative), what do you guys think about pursuing this for 1-2 years?

I figure I could still play a few good sessions per week, while being able to observe the best live players daily. I'd also have the means to be able to handle long-term variance in a city of the magnitude of Las Vegas.

I'm gonna think about this for the next couple weeks, lemme know what you think, pro's and con's.

Would you do it?

I have $2,500 right now

Online poker was fun
  NeillyJQ, Jun 18 2007

I'm moving to Salamanca, NY to play in the casino full time and work for my father, if your ever around the area just post a msg on my blog!

I'll still be playin some donkaments here and there online.

I prefer live cash a lot more than online, for reading players and to play each and every hand to the best of my ability, instead of focusing on so many hands.

Have fun everyone,
and best of luck

Chaos Theory
  NeillyJQ, Jun 14 2007

So I made a nice cashout today, left myself with a couple bills, bought into alot of tournaments during this afternoon with $90..

30 minutes after im rolling in each tournament with huge stacks my internet goes out for 3 hrs, leaving me in one tournament (deepstacked $20 where I had doubled in start), but didnt have enough chips to manage a comeback. I bust 10 short of the money AK vs J8 allin PF

Wait 20 minutes, and start buying into alot of tournaments again, same shit happens, net goes out but only for 30 minutes this time. Leaving me short on most of my tables. After this frustration has finally set in, and some donkey plays come out.

Now I get set up KKsb vs button AA, AA vs TT, AK vs AQ in all the tournaments I care about.
Atleast I can FUCKING HATE online poker now while I stop instead of wanting to play again.

So, to wrap it up - unforseen circumstances took half of what I left online, and stars took made sure to take the rest.

$35 left online...unless I can win one of the remaining games going, lol
who cares i guess, only money

fucking retarded.
