As said i have almost no clue about the new maps since i only know LT,Luna,Gaia,Legacy of Char, Azalea,GaemaGowon,NamjiYagi etc. and that stuff
So after going 7-0 vs D players my newbness finally got map abused ^^
Terran walled in and build some marines
i didnt see him going fast expansion nor did he have a lot of marines
so i figured i will go heavy macro before going lurkers + build some zerglings to be save against drop.
then suddenly 4 vultures are in my base killing my drones ....
i was liek wtf how did this happen ?
I have overloards in my base to see drops ... i have lings in front of his base to see dropship going out or any ground unit going out ....
So what happend was -> he sent 2 scv at start -> one into my base to scout and the other doing a proxy factory
i had killed the first scv so i felt save ...
second scv mined the mineral patch who blocked my backdoor ramp entrance to main ( i didnt notice)
4 vultures sneak in.
I only had like massive drones and 8 lings ...
he microed a bit and gg
pokerwise yesterday was good
2,6K hands + 67$ 9 tabling Nl25 6max
So i am only down 75$ for April.
the bad thing is i am down 550$ on NL50 6max in just 2,7K hands this month >-<
Whenever i have a hand at NL50 i got pwnd hardcore by dealer...
since i cashed out a bit for snowboarding i think i will just 9table grind Nl25 6max for rest of the month.
played 13,6K hands in 4 sessions of Nl25 6max this month and achieved + 370$ profits
i decided i wont play pokerz but will play some broodwarz
havent done it in a long time and thought i might try out that iccup thingy
Short summary of my BW history
August 2003 got known to BW by a friend who was a RL friend with Selector at that time ( I for myself didnt met selector ever)
basically we got known due to drug dealing.
all he did was play BW all day + smoke weed
all I did all day was smoke weed and sell weed >-<
So one day we met at his home and smoked some weed.
while being stoned he started talking about how much fun it is to play BW stoned.
So some friends and me + him and some of his friends agreed that it would be fun to play some BW matches while being stoned
( allthough most of us have never played the game before)
Was pretty cool and he gave us a copy of BW and from there on we all started to play BW on a regular base after getting stoned
Well since the weather got worse at that time around November and going when its -10C is not that much fun we played a lot of BW.
we were 8 guys playing
3 of them were kinda good ( he and his Cousin + some friend) 5 of us were all newbs ( basically my friends+me)
After some time it happend that i played a lot with the more skilled guys and soon become much better than my 4 other friends >-<
from now on they didnt want to play with us cause they got pwnd hardcore all the time.
And while i laughed my ass of being stoned and dropping vultures in villian mineral lines doing mines that make whole workers explode they got sad of losing all time.
They quit the game and never touched it again.
That was around April 2004
I have become decent enough to win most 1v1 noob Lts on B.net and so decided i would join a clan.
I praticed on a regular base from now on 3-7games every day till i quit Broodwar in August 2005
I just wasnt going anywhere in that game.
I achieved C- PGT in 2005 middle of season with with 40% winratio ... I had 160apm and won some cw games vs some BWCL 2 divison gamers ( lost the majority though)
i was well aware i had reached the limit of my BW skillz and would have to practice much harder in order to ge to the next Level
But since i had recently started MMA + got a new Girlfriend i lost interest in computer games.
So i took ~ 3 years break without a single game and then played some ZvP vs dusty <3 a few month ago in 2008
I got pwned in a 20 minutes game but i was surprised how i still managed to not completely get raped after 3 years without a single game.
Didnt play more BW afterwards
till February 2009
Some of my MMA friends told me that he was a starcraft player , who played like 7K games from 2000-2003
So we both installed Broodwar again ( thx to the polsih guy who sent me the link <3<3<3 here at LP)
and battled it out for nostalgia
truned out that i surprisingly raped him hardcore 5-0 without losing even a single Building hitpoint during the series ...
At this moment i somehow realized how much Fun Broodwar can be <3
from there on i played a few games on B.net 1v1 LT every now and then and got a 35-16 record.
Today i thought i may finally try this iccup thingy
expected to get raped hardcore even by D players but went surprisingly smooth 5-0 ...
well i was really surprised how bad my opponents were ...
everyone talked how sick starcraft has evolved and how even D players nowadays rape former C players of PGT and stuff ...
well seems i got lucky and none of my enemies had even the slightest idea of what he was doing.

1. game ZvZ LT ( palyed LT 4 games since i dont know the other maps yet)
Villian goes for ultra fast muta tech at 12v3 position -> 12pool 11 gas -> few lings , Hive tech
I just go 12pool 11Hatch in main and pump zerglings. he builds a sunken colony and thinks he is save with 6 lings
I run him over with ~ 15 zerglings the momment his spire finished
unfortunately he disced before i finished him off and he didnt have anti cheat on ....
game didnt count as a win for me somehow >-<
but i am too lazy to complain
2. game ZvP LT
Villian was complete noob and sat passive in his main base teching to HT while doing 2 gate opening and building 4-5 zealots then he expands but doenst have a forge
1 go 3 hatch mutas he has not a single cannon -> gg
3. game ZvP LT
Protoss goes FE into sairs
I see his FE and decide to go 2 Hatch fast Mutas instead of macro style.
My spire finishes right when his stargate pops out the first corsair
he has 3 cannons in his main base + 4 zealots and 1 corsair when my 8 mutas + 2 scources arrive
i kill the sair , kill all cannons + many workers -> he leaves
4th game ZvP LT
that one was actually pretty cool
Protoss goes FE into 3 gateways massing speed zealots + Archon and i go 2 hatch slow lurker drop
happens that he has cannons in his both mineral lines but all his 3 gateways +3pylons are unprotected in main base and he doesnt have observers -> 2 lurkers kill the 3 gates and 3 pylons while i expand double and procuce many lings
after that i tech to spire and mass cracklings
after -> 15 minutes , a bunch of drops , some guardian action and shitload of cracklings he leaves the game
5th game ZvP Destination
Villian probably hasnt played vs human enemy before
he build 3 gateways and rushed zealots
ofc 3 hatch can produce more zerglings than 3 gatways can produce zealots
after 6 minutes he is outmassed and gg
wee first 5 games of iccup going 5-0
i may upload replays when someone is interested.
Probably not too intersteing seing me play since i am honestly very bad compared to all u guys.
I dont even have any clue about Build orders , timing and stuff
i just randomly build things that i feel may work in the situation
results are not that good so far - 60$ in ~ 16K hands of all different stuff
basically breaking even
could be a lot worse and i expect to make some decent profits till end of month
I learned a lot about taking poker serious while being in a relaxed mood the last 2 month which is nice.
besides that i managed to finally feel good in long sessions
While in the past i barely played any session > 800 hands at all ( usually got bored after 550 hands )
this month i pulled of several 2K hands + sessions
I love Full Tilt Poker
Pokerstars and Full Tilt are really miles ahead of any other poker network !
RL thing
I recently talked to my best friend and had a conversation that kinda "shocked" me a bit.
So here is the story to the situation.
He did a 3 year apprenticeship at a job after graduating from school to save some monez before going to university
in this 3 years he managed to " RL grind" a 15K €uros into his Bank account while still living with his parents and being very economical with all expenses.
after that he bought an old car for 1K € and moved out to another city to live there on his own and study "mechanical engineering " at University.
Since he moved out he now pays all expenses on his own.
( flat + car + fuel + food + university fee etc.)
He didnt get a job besides studing since there is almost no free time.
He does work for a whole month each 2 times a year in semester break. which gives him + 2000€ a year
rest of it he pays of his 15K € bank account + using credit ( from a bank)
since he needs ~ 700€ / month on average ( flat + car + fuel + food + university fee etc.) his saved money will be gone after
the first 21 months ...and from that on he needs a credit loan.
So that leads us to where he is now
After 2 years of studing at university and living on his own he is broke
he recently went for a 10K credit loan to be able to pay for 2009 expenses
He will need another 10K credit loan for 2010 before he finishes university and starts working at a new job.
In a bad case where he doesnt get a job immediatelly in his first year after university he will need a 3rd 10 K credit loan to survive.
So this will mean that in the best case scenario
he will be ~ 15.000€ in debts 2011
in worst case scenario he will be 30.000€ in debts 2011
The thing is that if i didnt find poker by a fluke i would be in the exact same situation
probably even worse !
I will not become rhich but at least its very likley that i will never experience how it feels to be in debts
thinking of being in debts alone kinda scares me to hell >-<
Hehe , yesterday i had a pretty dissapointing session at pokerstars and lost -210$
SO today i felt kinda ultrabored of pokerstars and thought i might just grind some relaxed NL25 6max Fulltilt
Originally i didnt want to play poker at all >-< but then decided some relaxed Nl25 is still better than not playing
Little did i know what should happen the next 7 hours when i opend my first Nl25 tables ( lolz)
i oficially played the longest session i ever played in my whole live
7 hours of Poker without a single break 6tabling Nl25 6max...
First 1K hands i run beyond shit ...
I lost 3 sets + 1 flush + 1 straight + trips < trips + AA < JJ ..
basically i almost lost 1 BI in 100 hands by a horrendeus beat
after 2h of play i was down -174$
I decided if i shall quit or continue
I realized i am not tilted at all , cause the money on Nl25 is not too big
I decided that i played well so far and all money lost is due to setups and coolers
-> I decided to keep playing.
2 1/2 h laterz i was almost unstuck only down like -20$ or something.
I felt very tired and exhausted and thought about calling it a day
And then something happend that is probably comparable to a runners high ?
I just felt like being in a "flush"
my tiredness went away , everything felt easy and fluent ....
I kept playing for another 2 1/2 hours ...
I realized that my descision making become worse since it started to feel like in a movie or something ^^
hoever i am pretty sure i could go on for another 4-5h or something right now lolz
but its almost 4am here in germany and tomorrow is MMA
Well nevertheless it was a thrilling experience to play 7hours straight .
never thought i could do that.
also with rb and stuff it ended like + 58$ or something.
recently started listening to some older Blind Guardian Cds again.
I was a big BG fan in my teen years. age 14-18
allthough its somehow a bit "nerd" to listen to this "Dragons , Wizards and Elf" music i must admit that some of their songs are just beautiful.
I ve seen them live many times ( last time in the year 2003 / Coburg)
Their music was pretty important to me back then.
Dont know why , but somehow i just grew out of that "Dragonmetal" stuff ...
stopped listening to that kinda a music and got more into experimental rock music ( Tool etc.)
However there is that one peace of music where i get absolutely stunned everytime i listen to it with speakers on " very loud"

didnt mean to play today since i intended to fuckaments my ex GF all day long
but she was completely destroyed from the day before (she got completely drunk and ended up with 2 guys ^^ jeje my lil biatch) and felt sic today so we will met next week
So i played poker instead.
SUndays are by far my worst days
started - 75$ after just 30 hands NL506max
took a break out of stars sunday riggedness and played 5x HU 23$ SNGS -> won 4 lost 1 ( +65$)
won a few and did another try at rigged Nl50 6max session.
went good and won a bit over 3BI that 2nd session
overall results for today + 151$
which also finally puts april into green after being down the first 3 days.
+ seems i found a game i can profitable play when bored of cashgame
23$ HU i played 20 so far in April and i am 15w-5l for + 213$ profits
so since i got bored of cashgame i decided to play some SNGS last 3 days.
But i think i will definitely return to cashgame.
I managed to fail pretty hard at SNGS
breakeven at 6.50 HU SNGS
big loser at 10$ HU SNGS
breakeven at 10$ DoN sngs
Loser at 22$ DoN
WInner at 22$ HU SNGS I am 9-2 at them while i lose almost 70% of my 10$ sngs lolz
the both matches i lost at the 22$ ones i was all in with better hand both times while it was like 1200-1700 chips T_T
with 50/100 blinds
1st time i lost straight vs 2 pair allin on turn = he riverd FH
2nd time i lost KhTh on Kxhxh flop all in to riverd Ax 1card flush. ( river was 4th hearts)
overall i made exactly +80$ profits in maybe ~60-70 SNgs of all kind
hourly rate = ~ +6.50$
My biggest leak in those SNgs is : not winning 70-30 preflop all-in situations.
I just cant do it.
